If you go to settings and then applications, and then check notification settings in each app you want to get notifications from on lock screen and make sure you have selected the "show content"option in notification settings of each app.

Then check settings, lock screen, notifications, show or hide content.

it's on. I got sms notification on locked screen when screen is off. It appears that Viber, WhatsApp and Gmail application, are having problem to show me a notification when the screen is off and locked... done some searching in applications settings everything seems to be in order... I give up... maybe I should update, because I'm on stock ROM.. I usually don't do updates because I'm afraid of battery leaking and other problems that Samsung is providing us in the last couple of years...

I think I've read that some apps don't support screen edge.

Led Notifications not working

As the title says my Note does not turn the Led on for notifications, I already check the setting is turned on, I tested it with *#0*# it works there, but not for any notification, any ideas?
I would toggle the switch and reset, otherwise no clue, it works fine on mine. Is it working for charging, fully charged? Wasn't there another setting for colors? I'm confused myself, so many settings.

I tried all that, even did a factory reset but is not working for me. :crying:
The only other thing I can think of is power savings... hopefully. Does it turn on when you charge the phone?

Yes it does turn on when charging the phone, I checked power saving settings but they were turned off.
Check this in settings -> display?

I would try a 3rd party app that lets you customize the led lights see if that works. And if it doesn't work I'd get a new one. That's no fun. I'm sorry.

Thanks for all your suggestions what finally worked for me in addition to having the led notification on I had to turn Notification reminder on as well otherwise it just doesn't work, not sure if that's the case for you guys but well at least I have it working now.
I was just going to suggest double checking notification reminder, I think its set per application, besides global, but I'm surprised factory reset didn't work, unless you switch it off manually in both cases.

Full screen mode stopped working

Any idea why the full screen mode suddenly stopped working? Is there some hidden setting for that what Bixby changed etc. etc. when using a ton of voice commands :victory:
I have enabled full screen mode in "settings->display->full screen" and all of my programs are allowed to use full screen, but none of them do. And if I disable eg. Chrome and then launch Chrome it asks whether I want to run it in full screen or not. I press "run in full screen" but the navigation bar still persist

App background activity and other battery saving tips?

Background activity is off, but the app still somehow does something in the background.
Is there an explanation?
Anyway.. what's the best way to save battery? Turn off background network and background activity?
Are there any other ways to stop apps from using battery?

What apps did you disable background activity to break your missed calls notification?

No apps, just Android systems in battery chart.

Text message read pop up message

I keep getting a pop up asking me to turn on read confirmation option in settings every time I click on a new text message I want to view.
Is there a way to disable this? I currently already have the read confirmation option set to no in settings.
Thank you.
Same here.
I tried deleting cache/data in the messages app and that didn't fix it.
Not the same issue but related - every time I open a group message in the stock messaging app I get this notification at the bottom that "group conversations will be sent as multimedia messages". No idea why it has to do it every single time...

that wont help me... it will prevent me from sending group messages and send everything as unique threads to each group participant.

Have you tried Nova Beta? You no longer need Tesla Unread for notifications.

Installed. Have all badges without tesla
Sorry, but you will NOT have the same counting badges as in TeslaUnread.
It is all explained by the dev, see "Numeric dots": https://help.teslacoilapps.com/versions/6-1
Bottom line:
- If you swipe/remove a notification, the badge will disappear.
- If an app (e.g. a newreader) does not provide notifications, there will NOT be a badge for it.
It only works using TeslaUnread - this is why I will keep on using it.
I am having high battery drain after nova installation and usage under device care settings. Am i the only one?
