{Mod}[Hardware] Glass/metalback for poco F1 (beryllium){wireless charging} - Xiaomi Poco F1 Accessories

Poco F1 is undoubtedly a flagship killer phone but with some issues like Ips LCD panel and a poly carbonate back whick feels good but not as premium as other phones but we can't complain by considering the price range
So what if we ourselves can modify our beloved poco to eliminate these issues ???
So i decided to do this and I found some chinese companies making custom casing for various Iphones so i tried to contact them but was unsuccessful
So my Idea here is we can just contact some chinese manufacturer's and make some custom casing for our beloved poco f1
Or cant we just 3d print casing for poco f1 It will be just amazing  so let me know what u think below
P.s sorry for my bad English
P.s. : somebody with some contacts there in manufacturing units could also help us
Also if we are able to create a glass back we will be able to add wireless charging to our device which will be a added benefit

A very nice thought. I loved to hear . But you see this a very time taking process and pretty much costly. So i doubt how much enthusiastic co worker you will found.
Good luck and best wishes with your dream project

Thankyou brother

I love your idea !! Although i think that we don't really need q galssy back, ill tell ya why. Because at the end of the day we're going to be using a case, and if yiu break the glass back its going to be hard to replace it since its custom. Anyways i think if there is a way to manually install (NFC/WIRELESS CHARGING) to the F1 it would be more than enough!. Also if there is some Chinese manufactures that can make the IPS LCD it would be lovely !

Already given up? Lol

TBH, I use a tempered glass case anyway... Edges are rubber but that just gives more grip in hand - found it about a month after purchase...
The NFC/wireless charging would've been nice though...

Transparent back panel for poco f1
Bro. Im also interested in customise my poco f1 hardware. Im searching for a tranparent clear glass or poly carbonate back panel. (Inspired from mi8 explorer edition) ive found some store in aliexpress having those transparent back panel for samsung galaxy s6,s7,s8,s9.

Screen Guard for Gene

Hi All,
Can any one from Pune or near by Pune tell me any vendor for good screen guards for Gene. The one which came with my Gene was awsome and lasted for one year or so..after that i have tried some 3-4 new guards but they develop scraches too quickly. Does any one know any particular types to ask from shopkeepers.
Also i read some where that cold lamination should not be done. Will it harm the screen?
Apart from the screen guard if any one knows some other accessory or way then please help.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hmmmm....really started wondering whether i have asked a wrong question/wrond thread or broken some forum rule?? If that is the case i am sorry, i thought screen guard was an accessory.
Or seriously no one knows any thing in this regard?

Its extremely difficult to get any accessory of HTC products in India .
If Pune has a RT Outsourcing branch, please try there.
I hate that bout HTC
@Addicted : Thanks for replying man!! Its really drag that we dont get originals for HTC in India. I had a hard time finding one good pair of earphones, once when i lost my earlier ones. I thought of buying some bluetooth stereo headphones but now thanks to Karan i will have a 3.5 mm converter for the same .
So coming back to the topic, what most of you do?? use local ones? or any thing different? some special cover or something.

Can you tell us the cost of the same (well, all screen guard for touch screens are the same, as far as I know ). Also, from where did you buy it (I mean road side hawker, nokia authorized dealer, whatever).
I am asking this because I gifted my extra screen protector to someone (totally unworthy )
Thanks
i got a Chinese film for screen in my local market .it worth only 50 rs.
it got scratch but its too cheep u can change it every 10 days.

it will be give u best fit with no bubbles .
You can use O2 mini Screen Guard for Gene, in my country it only USD 2,5.

Hey deepv84...in what name do you get this film...it seems to be good... If for 50 Rs u have got that complete roll shown in your pic.
Screen protectors for HTC phones are available in almost all shops in the sector-18 market Noida. Your best bet would be to go to a shop which advertises HTC phones outside them. They are sure to have most accessories. I have seen atleast 2 such shops in the Atta market Cost : approx Rs 100.

Dont use that film much buddy, it damages the touchscreen slowly. Trust me when i say that. i have seen a person's screen go berserk when he was removing it for applying a fresh one, and he was taking utmost care at that time. But somehow, the upper layer of his screen came off with it from many places and touch sensitivity gone.

what are your thoughts on the Huawei p8

Personally i find it a good phone except i find that there are some problems:
The emui homescreen, I find this a big one
water resistant, okey this isn't a big one but it was nice if it was included.
fingerprint scanner, on the p9 is now one but i'd loved if there was on this phone.
Glass on the back, although its nice i find this a hazard because its already cracked on me.
so what are your thought on this phone?
I LOVE IT Snappy as hell, Like the UI and comparable to phones more expensive.

As you probably know, this can be easily changed / improved by installing a different launcher. Do ask if you need suggestions.
I'm happy with the default & make good use of the 'folder' system, so 99% of my apps are on the main home screen.

Yes, would be nice to have those extra features (& more!). But you knew these limitations before buying the phone, didn't you?

You mean the glass panel strip at the top around the rear camera? If yes, some others have also mentioned this happening to their P8.
You can buy a replacement for cheap & attempt a repair, or buy it & get a local phone repair shop to do it for you.
Back Rear Cover Top Glass replacement for P8 - from $2.44 (please be aware that some items in the search are for P8 Lite).
Instructions in this video (if it looks too difficult, take it to the phone repair shop).

No problems here - best phone I've ever owned, including the best camera (for me anyway).
The phone came pre-fitted with a screen protector & I bought a rear case almost immediately, so it still looks like new 7 months later.
After seeing newer & better-specced phones, there is a temptation to buy one of those, but I just cannot justify it (unless this develops a major fault or breaks completely).
I'm really happy with it overall. Speedy, nice display with plenty of resolution, very good size/weight/balance, takes great pictures, excellent battery life, fair amount of software updates (even if they're all labelled "beta").
My only gripes:
1) Wish I could disable more EMUI stuff (already switched launchers, but would love to kill e.g. knuckle-drag-select).
2) Lack of location-based Smart Unlock; I made sure it had Smart Unlock before buying, but assumed that meant the same feature-set I was used to on my Nexus.
3) Feeble vibration motor; I usually can't tell when it's buzzing in my pocket. This is the only one that actually makes me consider ditching the p8 for something else.

Gorilla Glass is break resistant, but not indestructible. Nothing is.
Could have been some combination of edge/corner impact (as it is much more likely to crack when a corner is impacted) and hitting a hard surface.

Unfortunately Amoled screens are not cheap, be aware of lcd screens on AliExpress - bad quality and much thicker.
Your 3t have gone on a good stage.
Already so many devices are available in the market at a cheaper price; like Poco F1 which has better hardware, dual camera, better battery and also developer friendly.
My suggestion is to change your phone.
I have my oneplus 3t which has completed 2 years, for which I have flashed plenty of ROMs and Kernels. I really enjoy my oneplus 3t but considering the new technology of full view screen, dual camera etc I am thinking to buy a new device after selling it online or offline.
I bought one from aliexpress. Not sure what the hell that would would be as Seller claims it to be AMOLED but i dont think it might be. I decided to sell it after changing LCD Touch.
I might buy refurbished 5t or poco. I have these two in consideration.
Suggestions?

It's Corning Gorilla Glass 4 actually, I dropped it couple of time but in every time it hits the edge of the sides so it got saved.

It looks like it's going to be good phone however this curved screen is really bad idea. Accidentally touch on sides + luck of tempered glass ?.
Am I wrong?

It depends how much curved will be.
If it is like note 9/s10 plus/p30 pro there's not gonna have issue with accidentally touch (I've worked all that devices not had issue)
As for tempered glass I assume oneplus will offer official one that everyone could purchased extra at oneplus site just like with previous version.
On the other hand if it is like mate 20 pro or oldest Sammy device like s8 plus which had very aggressive edge corner yes accidentally touch on side would be more issue for some people.

Mi9 Tempered Glass Protectors - Hard to find - What else fits?

Hi all,
It looks like all the decent quality Mi9 screen protectors are disappearing.
... I cant find any for sale on eBay inside the country (Australia) anymore.
Are there any other phone models with comparable screen size?
I dont use the selfie camera much so dont really care if that got covered up.
Thanks

well, i dont know whats around Australia to sell but, if you dont mind to use screen protector that cover the front camera - they protect the camera, dont affect nothing, nor image quality of them - i recomend you to use screen protector for the Xiaomi K20/K20 Pro, its all square without the cut out for the waterdrop notch and will protect the front camera too. And they fit fine on top and bottom as well as sides...and look very good all around like when screen is off you even cant tell you have a waterdrop notch, looks like is all screen.
Thats what i am using since day one and im happy with it, dont need to be expensive protectors since a little crack will make you wanna replace the thing so i just use random cheap ones...i replace them every 3/4 months.
Perfect!! Thanks for taking the time to reply, exactly the type of answer i was looking for.
K20 protectors are readily available. Ordered
I'm using Mascheri tempered glass protector for Mi 9T on my Mi 9. Without the notch it looks so much better and the selfie cam doesn't suffer at all from the glass.
Cheers

What about the difrent models of Nillkin brand, did you check them out? As far as I know they ship to Australia from AE and you have plenty of them there. Have been using them for years on different phones. Have one installed on Mi 9 from August last year. The Nillkin amazing h+ Pro is my favourite, because of the durability, you can also find great full cover glasses (which I have at the moment, although I prefer h+ Pro) . The oleophobic cover, its scratch resistant properties and the full package overall is above all the competition in my opinion.
I used redmi note 8 one on mine
