We’re really excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Pie betas.
On first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those who are unfamiliar, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhances the overall user experience.
The beta builds include adjustments and improvements on top of the stock Android CAF base. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features.

It's too soon to say for battery life, but it seems great for now.Performance is excellent for me.

I'm joining the Mi Mix 2S community soon as I'm going to buy it :fingers-crossed:
I'm so happy to see this rom here! Great job

As said before, rom is excelent in performance.
Is there any possibility on adding some customization? Like picking accent color, change clock possition or change phones font.
Thanks you guys for your work.

Thats just a first beta release, features will come in the future ?

Hi,
Thanks for your work.
Just installed the rom on my device.
My first impression is wow ! very smooth!!!
What I tested:
WORKS:
Music via bluetooth headphone
Phonecall via bluetooth headphone
Wireless charging
GPS
NFC
Google Pay
Root with Magisk
Dual Sim
Google Camera BSG Port (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/)
DOESN'T WORKS
Dark theme
WHAT I DO:
Set minimum DPI to 390 in develloper option
Register my GSF ID to get play store certification: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
Install SystemUI Tuner to launch Twitter and Instagram in full Immersive mode (liked it on MIUI with fullscreen gesture ^^)
Very great works!

The next update will be OTA?

Anyone with Dual Sim tried it? Does it work?

Was waiting for this to happen, Thanks!
PS. I'll buy you a beer if I see you around Basel

Can anyone let me know how autobrightness in low light performs on this ROM? Was thinking of waiting until the 2nd release to try it out, but if that works well, I might just make the jump now
Thanks!

Sounds interesting, will probably have to give this a flash

Yeah I saw AdamG made a ROM for the Galaxy S2 named DevNull. Didn't think Oxygen could be even more "lighter" but this will be interesting

Note to everyone: there was an issue when I built the ROM, so I have to rebuild it entirely. It should take about 20min, so please be patient.
One thing I like about CM is the toggle widgets in the notification panel and non-intrusive notification sound, that is the notification sound does not interrupt my music. Are these two features also found in this ROM? I'm currently on stock ROM for its stability, but I really miss these two features.
Good. Waiting on the update. Will the power controls and oxygen settings from 2.3.4 work w this?

Fixed builds are up.
So far really loving the speed of this rom. Any plans on putting in the theme chooser? Or is there a way too?

Looks like a very nice rom!
Here's a few suggestions:
- Remove wallpapers and Live Wallpapers, they take away space and are not necessary.
- Add some menu to the Settings.apk for these:
-- Power Widgets
-- Torch
-- Battery Percentage
Also, what kernel is this using? I assume Netarchy 1.3.9 CFS.

Wow.... This is great.... Thanks a lot man.... Downloading...
u r the man good job !
Woooooo! Romracer's recovery no good with MIUI? Never had MIUI before but are the widgets scaled right or they suppose to be like that?

It is just great!!! Thank you guys!
I noticed the boot animation hasn't been scaled, there is a bag icon that is completely in Chinese (i have no idea what it is), and the little heart thing force closes.
otherwise it looks great. what fantastic Devs we have!
i know it wont happen but we should try and keep the "OMG downloading now" or "thanks 10char!" posts down to a minimum just to be nice to them for their great work
Great job guys! Glad that you not only managed to release it, but also formed a team in the process.
Best of luck to you.
wow this is great.
sweet been waiting for this... i'll download and play with when beta comes around
in the meantime can someone post some (alot) of screen shots...
thanks!
I am aware that it's because it isn't a stock MIUI feature, but is there any chance that in the next release, swap internal and external ala CM7 will be included? Other than that and the previously mentioned unscaled boot logo, seems good to me.
Not demanding it, but it would make it a lot easier for me (and I'm sure many other users who got a lapdock recently and will be stuck using Blur at least occasionally for a while) ) to switch between ROMs
EDIT: Just tried the classic leather theme and the lock screen did not scale properly. Did not try rebooting to see if that fixed it, I attributed it to the Atrix being qHD (same reason keyboard isn't scaled for the Atrix's screen) so I would beware of those zip lock screens for now.
Yes, noticed that boot animation is not scaled correctly. Also noticed another bug, haven't got it in CM7 & official firmwares. My touch keys are really hard visible, it has really weak backlight. Anyone having this problem?

Anyone having problem adding music files to your player? My player just can't see them.
Omg amazing but I can't flash it till after school(

Another bug. When I go to online themes, they just won't load up. Wifi is connected. Or it should be that way?
for those who report the bugs.. u should know this ROM is Alpha.. otherwise its call Preview.. just give it a time for them to develop and make it full version
Yay! Awesome.
Btw, here's a mirror -- http://www.download.theandroidsoul.com/file/ATRIX_MIUI_ALPHA.zip
Enjoy!!!!!
Can anyone tell me how to access my backups? I click restore and I get the message that it can't mount SD card. Any help would be much appreciated.

@pheonixita Thanks a lot for bringing the ROM back to V500. I was waiting for this to happen. Requested Dave and Martin on your G+ Page.. I hope people on the forum will realize how good this ROM is.
Anyone with GPS Not working? I tried all three options. Can't seem to get a fix. I'm in 22nd nightly..
Awesome ROM...I have just found my default daily ROM
Thanks Devs for this great release!
Very nice work. Thank you!
First, thanks for supporting V500!
Guys, this is a great ROM, feature rich, yet not overbloated, all good stuff! Also, it appears stable, has nice OTA update support, and best of all, everything I've tried works. Give it a chance!
One thing however I've noticed: Sometimes max CPU clock gets limited to 1566 Mhz, never to recover to stock value. Might this be some kind of bug, maybe triggered from thermal throttling? It always was after some extensive gaming, where the device got hot to touch. Just an idea...
Question: Which kernel is being used for V500? Had a look at Github, but which repo is it? kernel_lge_g3? kernel_google_msm?
Cheers and keep up the good work! :good:

Hi Team Exodus, I noticed that when I watch YouTube and in the background few applications are updating during the automatic installation process YouTube stops and it forced me to touch the screen (play) in order to continue with the video. Do you familiar with this phenomenon. I'll appreciate your help for receiving a solution.

Hi, l took your advice and flashed slim (zero type) gapps and it seems that the freezing issues during installation just have been solved. I'll continue to test it to be sure that it's not stops randomly a phenomenon which l also experienced with YouTube. I'll keep updating if something goes wrong.
Update!!!: after testing it for almost two hours, it stoped randomly without any reasonable cause, so one problem was solved it isn't stops during app's installation, but it sure stops randomly once in awhile .
Is there a way to disable the text shadow on the headings? I just tried this ROM and really dig it, but the text shadow is causing legibility issues on smaller headings and is persistent across all themes.
Edit: also just noticed screen rotation doesn't work, even after playing with it's settings. That's a bummer.
My Gpad is running under CM12.1 official and 777 kernel, and have the sdcard unmount problem. I wanted to use link2sd, but it's simply unusable with this problem. I have also tried CM 12.1 unofficial and also AOSP, several sdcard, but still no solution.
Is someone also confronted wit sdcard unmount with Exodus?

[ROM][6.0.1] MIUI 8 Global - Port [SM-J320FN]

Hi, DeblaGaming here
To keep this short. THIS ROM IS RETIRED; THERE WILL BE NO UPDATES OR FIXES MADE BY THE DEVS. Community Support and Fixes is ofc. going to continue on this thread. With this, I am also leaving the Samsung Galaxy J3 2016/Samsung Community. I'm getting a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 for Christmas. It has been a fun experience porting this and being in this community. This will probably happen soon with other ROMs. If you can, try to buy a new device. Hope to see you in the Redmi Note 8 forum!
Kind Regards

About the headphone not detected issue. There is a fix but you need to download an app called sound about from the play store then plog your headphones in, open the app and a the media option choose headphones with mic then the sound should come out from the headphones now. I think this will help you until the developers fixes the issue.
Logging mi account no crash for me . small modified

Thanks for letting us know (scrolling through thread btw). If we don't fix the HeadPhone issue (Wired) We would include the App but we don't have permissions for it so we have to fix it

Introduction
My personal build for everyday. A simple AOSP project with little extras, keep the pure experience. You can build, you can use, you are free.. May the Force be with you!
I share this simple work to also open the door to testing new things and for those who love (like me) the simplicity of AOSP. As some know, I am part of the xiaomi-sdm660 organization (Together with AmulyaX and rama982) and this is a way to receive feedback for the work we are doing every day.
To keep in mind:
- This rom will not have OTA support
- It is not open to requests for new features
- I don't have releases time
- And the obligation to present errors and bugs accompanied by a LOG will be indisputable
Features
- Lawnchair, Bromite and SimpleGallery prebuilts (Will keep updated)
- Extended power menu with advanced reboot
- 4 columns in quicksettings
- Add option to select the height gesture
- And a lot of underhood optimizations
Bugs
Rom
- You tell me
Device
- Widevine L1 (Progress: DRM info apps detect L1, but Netflix still showing L3. After today release of Q dump, tried with add DRM stuff but liboemcrypto dont exist ... So I used lib from davinci and have a middle detected L1 support)
- FM Radio (At moment still working to release)
- AliPay fingeprint (Today fixed WeChat fingerprint but ifaaservice need something more to AliPay)
- If you find something more..

For the size of the zip I'm assuming your builds are gappless. Is that right?
Is this rom also going to abandon it as with minimal project or will it continue the development?

@kjjjnob nice work sir, but please add some screenshots of The Rom, Thank you !!!

This is of 08/01 version. If your into customization, this is not for you. But if you want your app to launch quickly, this is for you. Everything about this rom is quick.

Thanx
First, thanks for your hard work and appreciate to support RN7. I was using Minimal v2 and had no issues. This Yodita (clean flashed) and running exceptionally well - fast, fluid, battery friendly.
My version of phone do not have any sensor issue (all working). The battery lasted for more than 3 days with @6hrs sot with my regular web/telegram/email/WhatsApp use.
Please keep it up.
For any one looking for screen shot of the ROM, here are attached.
Yes, absolutely great rom. Fast, fluid and good battery. Thx Dev for your work.

Wait!!! Is the battery really that good? I mean, I know it won't last 5days, but regrdless, that number is mind boggling! Also, when did you take the SS? Was it like, you full charged it before going to bed and then took the SS in the next morning or something? Sorry if I'm being so investigating, just want to know. (◔‿◔)
