INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLING APPS THAT WORK WITH TGPKERNEL
Since the start of Android 9 (Pie), it has been harder to install apps via installers to /data.
For Magisk to work, you need to install the Magisk Manager which can be located HERE
To customise Kernel settings, you need to either install MTweaks which can be loacted HERE or EX Kernel Manager which can be found HERE
This kernel supports WireGuard, but you will need to install the Control App from HERE

Thank you. You are awesome

Good work

Thanks ?

It might have possibly been an installer problem. It was based on Oreo still and it may have changed a few things in /system and /vendor that didn't need updating anymore.
I'm working on a new version now and I've fixed these issues with the installer, but you will have to dirty flash your ROM again before you flash the new version of the kernel.

Tthe kernels use an AROMA installer to help guide you through the installation, plus add Magisk or SuperSU to your device.
For MM kernels it will give you the option to install Spectrum, plus the controller app for Spectrum and MTweaks.
If you wish to toggle on/off the AMOLED PWM Flicker-Free fix you can use MTweaks. You can find the option in the Misc Settings.
You don't nessecarily have to enable the option in the AROMA installer either because it's now built in to the main kernel.
The Lite version may have issues and automatically enable this fix, so diable it use Mtweaks and go to the Misc settings, disable the
PWMFix option and enable the Apply on Boot option at the top of that screen. Reboot and it should be ok now.

Never used Kernel Adiutor or Synapse? Try it and you will see it.
What do you think are the governors for?

Very nice kurnelll guys. Running smooth <3
Release 0.5
As of many user ask me to add support of MIUI variant, start with this version and later will support it. But i won't accept kind of bugs comes from MIUI based rom. Because this kernel using lineage tree as based, which some of dummy codes from Xiaomi Opensource are not merged into lineage. And also there are fews driver was introduced in the lineage tree but not supported in the MIUI. There might some of debug codes required by MIUI but not implemented in the kernel. This why i warn you to use lineage based rom for better experience with kernel based on lineage tree.
Changelogs :
Add support for MIUI based ROM (Stupid idea)

Can it be that you, by mistake, still published the 4.9.165-Canting-0.4 version on GitHub? At least it says so under settings/about the phone.

F.A.Q
F.A.Q
Q : Does this support Prometheus V2 ?
A : No, this only supports NEW OneUI roms released in august 2019 and up
Q : I dont have lockscreen working
A : you have a very old bootloader, update it
Q : I dot have working simcard
A : You have a very old bootloader/modem update them both
Q : What benefits Does this have over stock kernel ?
A : This kernel is aimed at Android enthusiasts who like to get the most out of their phones. But also is user friendly and pre customized for the average user to figure it out
Q : Can i use Kernel Auditor ?
A : Yes, but to utilized the full potential of this kernel including overclock and many more, you should use HKtweaks from here
Q : What is Overclocking ?
A : Basically, Slightly more performance For an extra consumption in battery. you can google it for more details
Q : Is it safe to overclock ?
A : ive tested the kernel on the Max over clock setting (Without turning off the 4 big cores) without any problems for a month
Q : What is SamsungHotplug ?
A : its a feature from samsung that Auto-Disables Inactive Big Cores to reduce power consumption. it has been disabled due to wasted performance
Q : Does this kernel Pass SafteyNet ?
A : Yes, The kernel has all the needed bypasses already so it can even bypass safteynet without Magisk
Q : Can i use Knox Apps ?
A : No, You cant use secure Storage, However it has PirvateMode Support built in (if your ROM supports it too)
Q : Can i use this on Stock Rom ?
A : Yes, it works on both Stock 9.0 and custom Roms made after August 2019
As a final note, this kernel was made for J5 J7 at first. but it seems to be a popular choice for devs to port to their devices. so i figured to provide a version for most 7870 Devices.
This kernel was previously known as Helios 2.7 . it was available in previous J7 Prime / Nxt Roms. Please note that this is only designed to work one the current OneUI based roms.
if you want a full list of features. please either read the github post. or the changelog i left.
Enjoy
Great work sir...
Does it work on J7 Prime Android 7.0 TW?
does this already come installed on that OneUI rom or this is totally new?

Hello, thanks for answer, that is weird i tried to reflash it but is the same, only works with "Oxygen-Kernel-on7xelte-v6.0.138-ONEUI-PIE" but if i flash "HeliosPie_Kernel_V3.1_G610X" i get bootlooped. How can i help to fix this?.
If i take a kernel log with TWRP is going to be useful? Because i can't take a adb logcat when is bootlooping saying the device is unauthorized. Anyways i attached it.

Thanks for answer, but i redownload the kernel and now i see that is different becasue when i flash it says "For Galaxy G610X" not like before that says "For Galaxy J600X" but anyways i get bootloop.
Edit: I solve this by changing the "cache" partition to ext4 format because i have it on f2fs funny thing because in the changelog says that supports f2fs but that change solve the problem.
It works well on my G610Y together with the blackbird Rom.
Hello Dev!, is the kernel applicable to Sm-A750? I want to use and to test it to determine what is the best kernel for my unit.

Currently testing it on a Q GSI with EMUI 9.1 vendor (FIG-LX1C432 L31 B115)
Any issue, I'll be sure to contact you. Thank you so much for your work.
Since Honor 7x has the same soc, should it work on it or 7x has some major differences?
Papaya v1.6 is up.
This is the last version of papaya kernel from me, you can fork it and improve it if you want. Download it from my GitHub.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. There is a folder called "tools" in every emui kernel source and in there you should find pack_kernerimage_cmd.sh script that should help you with your issue.

Thanks for your reply, i didnt notice that there is such script so i compile with mkbootimg haha. Which compiler did you use? I use the google git toolchain pie release from wed mar 21 2018. The kernel is compiled without error but it threw a lot of warnings.
Do you have to modify the source code? I have to modify the dtc-parser file to get it compiled

i did not need to edit anything to compile it. I chose Linaro GCC as my toolchain. Take a look at my build script, maybe it will help you to properly build it. I think that you can ignore warnings when compiling. I did ignore them and my kernel works without any issues I guess .

[KERNEL]JellyKernel [AOSP/CAF] [10]

My personal kernel builds for Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.
New project because old one got deprecated due to me being on hiatus.
Nothing groundbreaking, but should work and be stable.
Some features before you go any further:
-Linux upstreamed to 4.4.219
-No kcal support yet (I'll add it later)
-Optimized with -O3 flag
-A lot of debugging is disabled
-Cortex A73 and Cortex A53 optimization flags
-Latest CAF tag merged into kernel sources
-Reworked DDR bus tables for better performance and responsiveness
-Simple LMK replaces stock Android LMK (credits to @Kerneltoast)
-Android Binder 4.19 backported (credits to @Kerneltoast)
-Pretty generous -100mV undervolt for CPU and GPU
-Latest anykernel3 used for flashing this kernel (credits to @osm0sis)
-LZ4 as a default zRAM compression algorithm
-Adrenoboost incorporated into this kernel (credits to @flar2)
-Initial HDR support for Tiamna panels (read below for additional info)
-Builds with oldcam and newcam will be available eventually
-Compiled using Clang 10.0.2 from Google for maximum stability
-Memory leak fixes
-HMP only
DISCLAIMER:
-Only AOSP/CAF based ROMs are supported.
-MIUI is not supported and don't ask for support.
-With any problem that might happen, logs or no support.
-HDR support is really rough around the edges and only Youtube can properly playback HDR videos upto 1080p30 smoothly.
