You already use the dead boot sd card method? I had the same problem and that booted it back up. Let me know if you need to know how.

my phone doesn't turn on. the screen is completely dead. i will try odin though. but what do i do if my phone is completely dead? i heard of oneclickunbrick but im new to linux and i have no clue how to run it. what else can i try?
Well oneclickunbrick will run in Windows also, it would take your phone to download mode so you can go on with Odin
Otherwise if that doesn't work I think you'll need to go to repair service

[Q]How to unbrick?

OK guys!
yesterday i cooked a ROM with dsixda's Android Kitchen.I also checked the updateR-script file to prevent any damage.
but the problem is :
ROM was flashed successfully and every single function worked. I just turned my phone off and it doesn't boot any more.
Any suggestions?
Is that a BRICK?
Thank you all in advance!:crying:

Can you get into Download/Recovery Mode? and what is it doing? Just black or showing the bootanimation? And btw you should have posted that in the q&a thread!
Try connect phone to charger and we will see.
thank you!
first i knew this should have been posted in Q&A but thought you guys can help me more.
my phone is showing a black screen and no response.
I just dont know what the hell has happened to this. It was working fine but ... you know the story!
I dont know if its a hard brick either. cuz nothing (just nothing) happened to the phone. No wrong flashing,ROM manager,...
just wanted to know what the should i do with this thing:crying::crying::crying:
You don't have flashed any kernel that's not for the i9001 right? If you have done that it's hard bricked. if not it's rescue-able

1.I haven't flashed any incorrect kernel
2.I can't boot the phone anyway.

I don't think this is called a Brick but anyway I can't fix it

AW: [Q]How to unbrick?
Take battery out, wait 30 minutes Start Odin in your pc plug in the USB cable To the phone, press and hold the button Combo for download mode and take in the battery
sometimes this works, our phone is very hard To brick
i verified my battery with a multimeter and it's giving me Voltage.
unfortunately there's no SSC here so I could fix it but battery seems a bit...................weird
maybe it's dead.
I try to buy a new one and try again.
BUT PLEASE GIVE UR FEEDBACK MAYBE I DIDN'T NEED TO BUY ANYTHING.
thank you guys again.
edit:it hasn't been hit since I flashed my Homebrew crappy ROM.

The first advice I can give to you is to take the battery out for overnight then put it back in.

Dead Boot

Cheers,
Yesterday while I was using my phone (just the usual email/facebook), my phone began getting slow and sometimes unresponsive. So what I did
is that I turned it off, and back on again, however, when it booted it just stuck on boot animation, after this I turned it off again and this time
removing the battery, then placed the battery back again and tried to turn it on, however, from this point onward it wont turn on anymore.
The screen just remains black and nothing is happening. So i brought it to my nearest Samsung shop and they told me that its in Dead Boot,
and that according to them they will have to do it via JTag (no idea what this is) and that it would cost me (roughly 60$), and that
they are still not sure whether it'll be fixed.
Is there really no other way for me to fix it, without being to costly in my part?
Randy.

Samsung Galaxy S3 mini is completely dead

Yesterday evening my phone was on the charger then it suddenly stopped and it is completely dead. It isn't showing any signs of life ever since, even if I charge it. It doesn't even show offline charging and I can't send it to Samsung as it's rooted so my warranty it VOID. It seems to me that it has Sudden Death Syndrome because it has been recently been switching off and now it's completely dead. What should I do? I'm pretty much screwed!

Well... I managed to just get it into offline charging. When I boot it up in normal mode it shows Samsung Galaxy S3 mini then after a few seconds the bottom lights flash for half a second and shut down. When I try to boot to recovery, model name then shut down. Yes it can just about make it into download mode.

If you get into download mode, go to sammobile en download the firmware for your phone and flash it with odin. if that worked, open stock recovery and do a fatory reset to make sure everything is back to stock... Then you can just hope it won't happen again.

And I don't think Samsung will repair it as my warranty is void and I doubt if my parents would get me a new phone as this phone is only 3 months as well! And I have seen an unbrick thread and I tried it and it didn't work :'(
Well, I know how you feel. My charging port died once after I changed rom. Samsung asked me 200 for repair. Maybe you can give it a try and send him in... You never know Samsung loves you more than me..

Have you any news about the problem in your phone?
Mine (i8190 with one of the mclaws roms from previous week) also appeared in the morning shut down and there's no way of starting it. It does not even vibrate when power button pressed, as if the battery was completely empty.
Tried with another battery and checked that the original one had charge, but no luck. It does not start (normal, download or recovery, makes no difference).
Any ideas?

Well mine was dead for a day then I plugged it into the charger (this was after a day and I left it on charge all night and it wouldn't start) and I held the power button for 10 seconds while it was on the charger it showed offline charging so I let it charge for a bit and then I powered it on and it seemed to be bricked so I sent it to a phone repair shop (not Samsung as my warranty is void). If it doesn't show any signs of life then it's bricked. If it comes to life then it is also probably bricked. I tried flashing many recoveries, ROMs, kernels and params and nothing happened.

I tried to flash stock ROM and recovery but nothing actually worked!
1. Did you follow the instructions in detail?
2. What does "nothing actually worked!!" mean??
Maybe you need to work out what is the problem and why it is failing. Then you will be able to figure out if it is actually fixable, and if so how to fix it. "Trying everything" doesn't really work unless you make an effort to analyse the results you get every time you try something.
You could try posting in one of the threads about taking the phone back to stock. The people who posted them might be able to help you, they are more experienced at this sort of thing.

Kid, can you read?
What did you try? What was the result?
"didn't work" isn't a result, it's you giving up. Without even trying to find out why it didn't work.

[Q] unbrick with HTC Unbricking Project

Hi,
i updated my firmware from 4.19.401.11 to 5.11.401.10. My HTC has the cid HTC_102 and modelid PN0710000. The firmware is from this website android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html. After installing the firmware my HTC doesn't want to boot. Now i have tried the HTC Unbricking Project from dexter93 but in the terminal a error message appeared.
Is there a way to deal with 'permission denied'?

Give this a go found it on xda.
Option 1) Hold Volume Up & Down, then hold power for 90 seconds. Should vibrate/flash/respond somehow. Sometimes takes some time and a few tries with long waits in between.
Option 2) Hold phone up to bright light (headlight or lamp bulb) and hold power for 15 seconds. Orange charge light will illuminate. Play with power & volume buttons till it boots.
Option 3) If plugged in on USB because you were working in Fastboot, (optional: wait 30 seconds to ensure whatever is going is complete so you don't ACTUALLY brick it), then unplug USB: reboots.

Well hopefully there is no way of getting into it and finding out if its rooted or not so they might just send him a replacement.
My question is if I have an HTC M7 that was bricked but jtag'd and revived. But now I can't get a signal or can't get the phone unlocked to any network.
It seems that my emmc file is corrupt, or on start up the modem is crosschecking the security and isn't allowing a network connection.
I noticed that you have a emmc rebuild file set in the UN brick... Is there any way to use any of this project to revive my emmc file??
After all I can 're brick this thing and try to see if I can fix it the long hard way.
Thoughts?
