[Q] how to go back to stock kitkat??

Spice Dream UNO (Android One)
i have unlocked the bootloader of my spice dream uno, philz recovery and im running the 5.1 phillipines version (i think so) of android 5.1...
Can anyone make a guide on reverting back to the stock kitkat for my phone as i got it on my first day so i can make the official OTA update to android 5.1??
I searched for this but it seems after reverting the phone ends up with some IMEI problems. so im asking here to make a safe guide for people out there including me using SPICE DREAM UNO to have a safe return to kitkat so we can make the official 5.1 update.

See.... i know there might be many problems with SPflash tools to work with many users as u may have got many disappointments as i have got. I tried Running it but never get it done with sp flash tools... So i would tell you a fastboot method which you can do to restore your stock kitkat rom by some easy commands....
FIRST Of all ....
REQUIREMENTS:
1. You should have fastboot adb folder in ur pc...
2. STOCK ROM (sprout) google it you would find it in xda
PROCEDURE:
1. Go to fastboot mode in ur mobile (i presume that u know how to do that or if u don't know just google it)
2. Open the Adb fastboot folder
3. Press SHIFT+rightclick -> Open command window here
4. Copy the stock rom files into adb fastboot folder.
5. Check if your smarthphone is connected or not by typing: fastboot devices
6. Now perform these commands one by one:
fastboot format userdata
fastboot erase system
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash oem oem.img
fastboot flash preloader preloader_sprout.bin
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash secro secro.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
7. Now unlock your bootloader by typing: fastboot oem lock
or you could do this with All in one tool for our device
8. reboot ur device ... and voila..... it stock kitkat....

its "fastboot flash preloader preloader_sprout.bin" anyway this method brought me back to kitkat. Thanks.
Now i go to about phone -> system updates and click "Check for update" it shows your system is up to date and the Last checked for update as the current time. Did Indian android ones(Spice dream uno) get lollipop update or not?? Why isn't the update available for me??

I think u didn't the procedure or have not seen the news about the update coz ..u should know that ..update procedure is not available for all right now..
It is in a weekly manner...they are giving updates to a small number of users right now...but there is a news that....every android one devices would get updated by the new lollipop till 23rd of march...so wait for it for some more time......

for flashing stock lollipop rom the commands and the procedure are same?? since i find some more extra files are present in the stock rom folder i was wondering whether there is a difference between the kikkat stock flashing procedure and lollipop procedure.

Just flash the stock rom via the flash tools no worries

[Q] screen locks problem with Moto G 2014

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my Moto G 2014:
Many times the screen locks, and when i try to slide to open it, it will not open but gets locked again and again and I can't use the phone.
I had this issue with 4.4.4 and also after i updated to 5.0.2.
I tried:
1) factory reset.
2) clear cache partition.
3) I try to slide the option bar ad get to the settings but its not alway working to bypass the lock.
4) I tried also to cancel the "slide" option in the security setting to "none" but it still get locked..
what causes the issue? problem with the system? with some sensors? is it a fixable problem?

Did you try to flash stock/ custom rom?

Is your bootloader unlocked?
Have you tried re flashing the firmware. It's just a guess but your system partition may be corrupted.

I never tried flash custom rom or anything, and I don't know if my bootloader is unlocked.
To flash ROM I need to unlock the bootloader? the only way to fix system partition is to flash new ROM/reflash frimware?

Well, restore to stock firmware with adb and mfastboot at it should be fixed.

Which model are you using? (XT1064 usa single sim, XT1068 international dual sim etc. etc)
The site for the official moto g stock firmwares is down so it is pretty hard to find a legit stock firmware file these days.

and one for XT1068
http://d-h.st/VOw (use the BLUE download now button not the orange download button. the orange one tries to get you to use dev host's bad download manager)
You can flash it by installing this 15 second adb installer by Snoop5

If the latest version does not work then use 1.3
After you have everything downloaded open a terminal at the location you extracted the firmware. Reboot you device into bootloader mode by powering it on while pressing both volume buttons. Plug it into the computer and let the drivers install.
Run these commands. It is normal that the first two give you error if you are currently on 5.x firmware.

I know the screen ghost touches is hw problem but u asked for the original firmware.

Moto G 2014 LTE ( XT1079 ), How to relock bootloader

I downloaded Android Marshmallow after reading news about it through settings/about/system updates.
After downloading, the phone restarted but updatation was stuck after flashing TWRP screen (error screen photo attached)
My phone is
bootloader unlocked,
recovery TWRP
rooted
ROM is stock.
It seems the OTA update will be completed once I have stock recovery,
I have following queries
Is it necessary to revert to stock recovery to complete OTA update?
If yes, how to achieve it, what i learnt through search, I need to find Stock ROM zips and extract recovery (boot.img) and then flash it through adb?
where to look for thea stock rom and is there any easier method

It's risky, a lot of users here for some reasons got stuck whit locked/unlocked bootloader unable to boot and flash anything.

You should wait for the complete rom image for your country/model to pop there instead doing that risky thing you want do.

Recently stock rom for xt1079 has been added to the list.
But I m trying to download from filefactory since yesterday but due to some reason, it stops in between and resume isn't supported.

Are you sure the region of that xt1079 is right for your phonr ? check the phone box and the info inside settings to know which region/carrier you have, you must use the same identical 100% stock to avoid problems
And, do no relock bootloader !!!

What's the difference between xt1078/1079 and can't I use xt1078 ROM.
Rooting procedure meant for xt1078 worked fine for me
And Sir is relocking bootloader very risky ? suppose something goes wrong wont I be able to unlock or restore nandroid backup.

Although I have relocked my bootloader, but it is recommended to leave as it is.
If anyone stumbles here with same problem like mine i.e. unable to upgrade to android 6.0 just because of custom recovery, then pls download the firmware from filefactory.com link and flash. I'll add flashing commands as well to this post in near future.

If your phone is defined in the device manager as COM port 9008, you can restore it according to this instruction.

You did not "Brick" your device per se. Probably some improper file was flashed. If you have not wiped your phone, you can just simple try to fastboot flash the stock boot image. It may solve the issue. If not then do a clean flash to either the stock ROM or any custom ROM from this AFH link.
Note that the Custom ROMs are still in beta due to a VoLTE issue and thus are not released on XDA Dev DB yet. They are safe to flash though and are stable if you do not need VoLTE.
You can also ask for more help at the official telegram channel for the device.

I thank you very much for your help. I was able to successfully flash the stock firmware from the link you provided. I only have a small question. The stock ROM zip, is it updated after every security patch OTA update?

Yes, the complete firmware file is different with every new build released. You can install OTA with the current fastboot flashed stock ROM but provided it has to be "FULLY STOCK". Else the update will fail.

I purchased a cellphone yesterday Motorola Power One. its working fine, but I want to ask n know two things,
1. It has unlocked "bootloader" and on all restart it says to relock it to secure it. If I relock it, will still work or stop working?
2. It has Android 8.1.0 SKU XT1942-1 BUILD NUMBER OPT28.81-45 When I click update it shows Your Device is up-to-date

But today I saw this update

I want to know can I update this version and how to?

Yeah bro flash this room via fastboot commands

motorola one power
my moto one power starts freezing and when i restart its touch stop working....i flashed stock rom using twrp but still same problem and also try to flash rom using fastboot but still its system ui not responding and phone freezes and touch not working after reboot...please help please!!!:crying:

Did you flash that rom in 1942- 1 ??? I have the same model num and running oreo... Want to update pie??? Were you successful in doing that ? Because that firmware file was for 1942-2 ? Plz share experience.

Did you install any third party app or it happens by itself? I had the same problem but i was messing around with the moto app launcher. Anyhow, try flashing this stock rom with latest june security patch. Don't use TWRP, it is a full rom. Use Fastboot mode. Also backup your device, if you want your files back. This will do a clean install of the rom.

Need help with phone bricked.
I was installing the Arrows OS in Motorola one power and after rebooting, the set is in the bricked mode now it's not responding to anything. Can anyone please guide how can I fix it?

I got similar problem.when I'm flashing arrows or others custom ROMs(1custom ROM,2twrp installer)and restart my phone no restarting only bricked.help only blankflash

No I installed Chinese v2.27.... Well it's absolute mess like I never seen Android before. Then attempted to flash global again, problems to the point of corruption. I have fastboot flashed all key elements of working Android phone multiple times. Can only get to fastboot after boot screen that I have to do manually. Recovery system is toast.... Guess it's back to Poco F1.... Learned my lesson from junk.

Trying to NA Global original rom, problem is no recovery at all....I can only flash within fastboot.....which is not a problem, but phone is not taking it flashing all images individually and modem. And I know it's flashing cause fastboot is saying okay and bootloader showing unlocked

Every time you restart back to the bootloader you need to do: "fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX629J" first

LMAO if you can't go from stock global to stock Chinese and reverse from the manufacturer with their recovery, you haven't got a prayer for custom roms or mods.

if you stuck in the Device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot and you are in the Chinese or global rom then flash the stock boot image via adb. well I am using a Chinese v2.27 rom with rooted +gapps and then realized that most of the google apps wont work correctly because of the unlocked bootloader. I tried to lock the bootloader via adb then the message "Device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot" show up. so I try to use adb to flash the stock boot image then it work. first place the stock boot image to the "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" folder which located in the local drive under program file(x86) then run the command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot

Bud I put so much effort in last 13 hours to no avail....fastboot erased all partitions, reformatted, reflashed to no avail. Right now it just boots loops on Chinese 2.27 boot splash, I do have Chinese recovery though, but the same otg adapter and pen drive that works on 5 different devices, this damn phone won't read it so even that is out of the question. I wipe my hands clean of it, some things just best to put a bullet through it.

No BS, all I did was flash CN 2.27 over NA Global, after a look at the mess it was I proceeded to flash NA Global back.....no TWRP No Root with SuperSU or Magisk. But in fastboot it does say Root=1, so I guess the CN 2.27 rooted it by default cause I sure as hell didn't. One thing that is bothering me while in fastboot unlock bootloader I can't turn Secure Boot off which I believe is why it won't boot system.

don't give up I know how do you feel did you download this update from the official red magic website http://ui.nubia.cn/rom/detail/62 after you download the update and it will be in a zip file extract the boot image. then try to follow the root guild https://forum.xda-developers.com/red-magic-3/how-to/red-magic-3-root-guide-t3933148 in the website download the adb and then run the command which I reply earlier
seem to me it is like a soft brick

all you need to do is to fix the corrupt image so later once you finish the first step of booting to the phone then you can flash to global rom. if you have the cn version 2.27 boot.img then you can download the adb and use the command to fix the phone

Shouldn't have messed with something that wasn't broken. Now you have a nice brick to use as a paperweight. Hope you get it fixed tho. Good luck.

*****as soon as boot screen appears hold volume + button, now in recovery...navigate to wipe data and then wipe cache....then plug in otg usb pen drive (formatted FAT32) with Rom package .zip....navigate to update otg in recovery select it let it do its thing and walla your phone is fixed.
*****if you ever go from CN rom to Global rom you must Wipe Data and Cache through recovery, it is not enough to do it in fastboot and your device will remain soft bricked.
