Unable to access Internal Storage after Update - BLU R1 HD Questions & Answers

Just flashed an encrypted BLU R1 HD w/ROM 'Modified V21' from the link in post #1 of mrmazak's thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/r1...-stock-rom-t3602672/post72192422#post72192422). Created a SD card with Blu-R1-HD-V21-twrp_install.zip & UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76.zip on it (SanDisk 16 GB). Inserted SD Card & booted into recovery mode (TWRP was already installed). Then:
> Wipe - advanced (everything - except SD card)
> Install - flash Blu-R1-HD-V21-twrp_install.zip
> Reboot into recovery
> Wipe
> Reboot into recovery
> Install UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76.zip
> Wipe
> Reboot
Phone reboots several times, then it presents the new user setup screens. After setting up the phone as a new user, applications can be installed, files can be downloaded from the internet and everything appears to work normally. Except.....
Using the built in 'File Manager' the SD Card can be accessed as expected. When trying to access 'Internal Storage' it displays "(Empty Folder)" in a light grey color. Creating a new folder returns the error message "Some File Operation Failed". Formatting the SD Card as internal storage (ie: encrypting it) simply results in loss of access to the SD Card.
New with this ROM is that during the boot (power on process) between entering the unlock (decrypt?) pass code and before the standard lock screen is presented - there is a period of approx 20 seconds with nothing but a black screen.
Thinking something went astray during the initial update - I tried it again and was able to reproduce this issue of not being able to access the internal storage 3 times on the same phone. As a former Unix admin this appears to be a permissions issue. However I don't know how to regain access to ''Internal Storage".

The problem is a permissions issue related to SELinux. After using "The SELinux Switch" to enable "Permissive" mode access to the internal storage has been restored.
The SELinux Switch is available here on xda - https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-selinux-switch-t3656502

[Q] Restore to stock -- stuck!

Sorry -- this is probably a silly question but I can't find the answer anywhere.
I need to do a full factory reset. When I do the 8 boot failure option, however, on the 9th boot it goes into clockwork recovery -- where I do a delete user data and factory reset (from the Clockwork menu). Once I reboot (and have to register again to get past the B&N process) I'm still rooted -- or at least I still have Superuser on the Extras menu.
I'm thinking I somehow need to get past Clockwork to do a true reset????
I'm also trying to do this, and having the same problems.
I used adb to set the 8 boot failure and got the boot failure screen as well. I followed the method from the 'restore to stock' thread (which you probably should have posted in, instead of making a new thread) and used the hardware buttons to wipe the rest. I also had some apps left like SU left over. Also I was on 1.0.1 which I manually put on (when I had a booting loop into clockwork (my own fault)). My NC came with 1.1.0, so the restore to stock didn't bring me back to what I bought the nook as.
That 9th boot attempt is supposed to re-image the system partition... having CWR installed on the internal memory must be interfering with that process..
If you want to go back to stock without root files or anything.. try the following -
*NOTE* You must use CWR 3.0.0.5.. 3.0.0.6 will format the partitions as EXT 4, which the stock OS and kernel do not support.
Here are the steps -
1. Download CWR for SD card .7 from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922870 (choose a size appropriate for your sd card)
2. Download Nook Restore 1.01 from this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914690
3. Image CWR onto a sd card using WinImage if you're in windows or dd if you're using a mac or linux (In WinImage, you'd go to disk>restore virtual hard drive to physical) give it your sd card reader's drive letter and choose the image you downloaded in step 1)
4. Copy Nook Restore 1.01 from step 2 onto this SD card and eject it from your PC
5. Power off the Nook Color and insert the sd card into the slot
6. Power on the Nook Color and boot into CWR
7. Go to Mounts and Storage
8. Format System and Data
9. Go back to "Install Zip from SD Card on the previous menu by pressing the power button
10. Select "Install Zip from SD Card" and then "Choose Zip from SD Card" * If you get an error, you need to go back to mounts and storage and mount the sdcard*
11. Choose Nook Restore 1.01 and wait for the installation to complete
12. Go back to the main menu and choose wipe cache
13. Power off the Nook Color
14. Remove the SD card
15. Power on the Nook color
The nook should boot into the stock OS and ask you to go through the initial setup process again.
Hope this helps.

[Q] MIUIus 4.0.3-2.3.2, A2SD doesn't work

Hi,
I have problem with my MIUI ICS (version in topic). I have installed it yesterday (only one nonplanned reboot from this time...) and I still can't run A2SD (similar problem: LINK). Ok, for start - I have formated SD card, go to the recovery and:
1. Factory reset
2. Partition SDCard
3. Flash .zip
4. Reboot
5. USB debugging (a2sd install, yes, yes)
6. Reboot
And after the second reboot, this error occurs: "permission manager has stopped" (another processes too, e.g.: com.android.phone). I tried with another formated SD card - the same problem, formated SDcard didn't help.
Thanks for help

Internal memory does not show on PC

Hello everybody,
I am in desperate need for help.
Received my OP3T yesterday and followed the instructions to flash Sultan's CM13 ROM, unlocking bootloader, running "fastboot OEM unlock", deleting data and system partitions, attempting to flash TWRP and even using the SuperSu root afterwards.
I now have an issue where the internal memory of the phone does not show up on PC. It does not show when I am running CM13, and does not show when I'm in the TWRP recovery menu.
- Using the mount feature in TWRP does not work.
- All my file systems are currently set to ext4.
- USB debugging is on, off course.
- Tried accessing internal memory on a different PC, and still doesn't show.
I've tried completely deleting all the partitions, re-flashed TWRP and re-flashed CM13. Also tried re-flashing the original recovery and the original OxygenOS rom.
As a result, I can only access the TWRP recovery now. I have no way to copy the CM13 zip file or any other file to the internal memory.
Anyone know what's going on?
to see internal storage in TWRP you need to enter the password you definied as android login.
to see internal storage on pc go to "Settings/developer options/usb configuration and use again "file transfer" (i hope this is the english word for "dateiübertragung")

(Please Help) Verification failed - Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), Nougat

Hello everyone!
I have to admit that I didn't root a device for a while but just tried my luck with my new tablet due to the very low internal storage.
What have I done?
- Enable USB Debugging and OEM unlocking
- Booted into Samsung Download mode
- Installed the latest version of TWRP with the correct version of Odin
- Booted into TWRP (no problem at all)
Ran into issues from here
- Tried to install the latest Magisk version and had some error messages: imgur.com/Z6RojHm
- Tried to move Magisk from my External SD Card to my Internal SD Card
- Could not find any data such as "Download" from my internal card in TWRP
- My SDCard used to be encrypted, I decrypted to see if this changes anything
- Did a search online and found suggestions to Wipe Data, tried to install it again, same issue again
- Next suggestions I found was to format "Data" from EXT4 to FAT
- Booting up the tablet was no issue until here
- Was able to mount "Data"
- Still - couldn't find my folders of my Internal SD Card
- Tried to install Magisk from my External SD Card again, worked this time but with errors again: imgur.com/TIVM7gf (1/2) imgur.com/J4Uqer3 (2/2)
- Booted up the tablet and now I am getting the following messages:
Verification failed!
Unable to restart your device. The intergrity verification has failed. You must need to reset your device to factory default settings. This will erase all your data.
Reset (button)
- Click the button, TWRP does some things, boots up again and same message again. Now I am stuck.
Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I am a bit worried that I had to format my Data to FAT as well as all these error messages. Not sure if I should/can try to do it all over again (with Odin) or is there anything I should/can do to avoid any issues now or in the future (e.g. upcoming updates etc.)
If anyone can help - thank you very much! And thanks for taking your time to read through this! Tried to keep it as short as possible

How To Guide [FIXED] Apps not updated or install after MIUI 13 to 14 Upgrade.

ISSUES :
You get error message when you try to update apps in Play Store or unable to install an apk saying "Out of storage space".
Requirement :
Your phone must be an bootloader unlocked phone and flash and use OrangeFox recovery (I prefer OrangeFox this time).
^^^^^^^^^^WARNING! ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE GONE^^^^^^^^^^ Back up your data to other device or using cloud-based backup.
SOLUTION :
Boot your phone in to Orange Fox Recovery. Mount all partitions available and shown there. Erase these partitions "Data" (NOT Data Format), "Dalvik-cache" & "Cache".
Mount / Enable MTP (can't get connected? Turn it off and back on).
Copy your MIUI14 firmware in to internal storage.
After copying, go to \data\media. Click the flashable miui14 zip and install it as Flashable zip. Wait till it's finished. After that, clear "Dalvik-cache & cache".
I recommend a full reset after phone is booted completely. Your external memory card will be erased too.
Go to \data\media and delete the flash zip file to gain some storage space.
Thank you.
