FINDER FIRMWARE for Huawei - Huawei Mate 20 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello to all fellow mate 20 lite users,
I have questions regarding to firmware update, I have mate 20 lite SNE-LX1 C461 with the update of december and current build number for my device is 8.2.0.105, as I saw with Finder Firmware For Huawei, there is 8.2.0.132 version available for my device, is it safe to download and install firmware from Finder Firmware, and if anybody had tried such procedure on their device?

I tried yesterday and there was no problem. Check if the firmware is the correct one for your device. Use te Erecovery metod.

How can I check that?

Chose the update version, scroll down to the bottom and click: check firmware access- check availability and if it matches your model it will say "Firmware approved for instalation". If it says "Firmware not approved" tap a different update pakage. When you find the proper pakage use the steps shown in erecoveri update

Don't update if is not approved!!!
You must NOT to update your Mate if is not approved by Finder Firmware. Please be aware!

Eva-L09C40 Wifi & BT not working + firmware to update?

Hello
As indicated in the title, I have a huawei p9 L09 cust 40, the wifi and BT are not working, I don't know if it's a hw or Fw problem, so I'm trying to update to nougat or any other firmware to find out if it's a sw problem, but I've tried too many firmwares and the flashing process fails. Current firmware build number is: EVA-L09C40B196.
1- What Firmware should I use to upgrade to any other version of Marshmallow or to nougat?
2- Can I change the cust number to get more compatible firmwares and how to do so?
I've created a huawei ID inorder to unlock my bootloader, but when I try to login using this id, the site tells me that either the id or the password is wrong, while I've used this ID in my P9 without any error! what's wrong?
Regards
I had trouble with getting bootloader code too. I got my bootloader code by emailing Huawei direct through the hiCare app. Got it within 2 days. Hope this helps.

Help: Cannot update firmware with same CUST (C440)?

Good morning all,
I'm trying to update my P9 (EVA-L09 model) to a new software version using the Firmware Finder app.
My phone's current software version is EVA-L09C440B138.
The Firmware Finder app finds several newer software versions for C440; this includes B140, B142, B370 and B380. However, when I check installation availability with IMEI, the app says not available for installation - for any of the software.
Is there any known reason why updating to a new version with the same CUST (C440) is not working?
Thanks in advance
Nick
Anyone?
You can debrand you phone to C432.

From Hicare, my phone is in the last Update, but in FFinder there is one Update to Android Pie, what steps should I follow to update the P10 manually, that is, download the files from FF and update locally or some method that does not need the open bootloader?
My phone has C605B374 (last official Update)
no you don't need unlocked bootloader. go to firmware finder click on ur firmware and check if its approved then click on eRecovery method and follow instructions
You can try this method here to update using Hisuite on the PC, along with Firmware Finder on your phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78850439&postcount=1334
Be sure to upgrade to B386 version first, before attempting to go to Pie, for best chance of success and lowest risk.

Instructions how to get an authorized version of EMUI 9 on EMUI 9 via Firmware Finder
Attention, this method requires more success checks.
1. Add a line to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
188.225.84.142 query.hicloud.com
2. Download and install HiSuite9.0.2.304, BUT NOT RUN:
3. Replace the files:
httpcomponent.dll move with the replacement in C:/Program Files (x86)/HiSuite or other directory in which the application is installed HiSuite
HiSuiteConfig.xml move with the replacement in C:/Users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData/Local/Hisuite/userdata/UpdateDogDev
4. Open FF (any, I like the smartphone to register - less action)
Looking for a permitted Android 9 for your device on the principle: device_model: VTR-L29 or VTR-L09,
NOTE: Firmware must be approved for your IMEI
Once again, make sure it is permitted, registers the update for eRecovery.
NOTE: There are two types of firmware: CHN, i.e. for Chinese devices and OVS, for all the rest. So if you do not have Chinese firmware, then you need to pay attention exclusively to OVS.
5. Run HiSuite, connect the device, looking for an update, update, enjoy.
NOTE: Follow the link and download archives

I just want to say thank you! This basic instruction was the clearest I found on the whole internet. :good: I have a VTR-L29C185 Huawei P10 that I needed to get recovered as it was failing. This worked 100% for me to get stock firmware on it and going.
I do have another question - is there a legit stock 9.0 firmware for this phone?

VTR-L29C185E3R1P9B159 (9.0.1.159)
VTR-L09C185E3R1P9B159 (9.0.1.159)
Now you must verify if it is approved for your IMEI and install using Hisuite
PD: Search firmware in FF .... VTR-L29CXXX (XXX = CUST)

Where to get 9.1 OR 10.0 firmware for C605 region CLT-L29 phone?

Hello guys,
Quick question. Does anybody know where to get official 9.1 OR 10.0 firmware for C605 phones? My current version shows 9.0.0.263 (C605E2R1P11). I'm using my phone with MINT mobile. No OTA updates available...
Modded hisuite and huawei firmware finder
EMUI 10 for P20 Pro was not released globally yet.
Stupid question, do you have an active SIM in the phone? Initial OTA might not arrive without a SIM.
Also, I can suggest using HiSuite on a PC, it also can find new versions when you don't see OTA.
Yes, I have active SIM in my phone. But nothing happens OTA. As far as HiSuite goes, I tried a regular (non modified) version and also no updates found.
I was wondering if there are users with C605 region that have 9.1 firmware installed and how/where did they get it. I know there are some web resources that host firmware but I'm skeptical to use them without references...
The EMUI 10 you see on firmware finder is only for india region

Can somebody tell how exactly this method is used? I found the modded Hisuite and installed it and replaced files. But got No internet error. Also, not completely understanding how the FF is used along with Hisuite for installation. Thanks.

FIRMWARE FINDER NOT WORKING!!!

Just a couple days ago I needed to downgrade my firmware on huawei p40 pro plus to allow for GMS installation.
First time it was through firmware finder and hisuite and worked with no issues. But for some reason it seems like every firmware link on firmware finder was removed. And it comes up with a message that say firmware was deleted from the server.
If anyone knows what the issue is or could assist in anyway I'd be very grateful. Firmware I'm looking for is: fullOTA file for
ELS-LGRP6-OVS 10.1.0.132
Or Dload
ELS-N39 10.1.0.132 (C316)
