With the Pie update there's an dark mode option but it seems to do nothing ?
Switch to automatic
Set a dark wallpaper
Switch to dark
Set whatever wallpaper u like, now it stays @ Dark

After updating to One UI, my status bar text doesn't seem to be inverting in color when applying a dark background. It always seems to stay this dark gray color. The text does change to white when I'm in Samsung apps.
I've tried disabling and enabling Night Mode, going from white to dark wallpapers, setting default Samsung theme but I still get stuck with the black text.
Anyone experience the same issue or know how to fix it?

i want a dark mode but themes i found were all dark black, i wanted a grey-ish black, like twitter and viber's dark mode because dark black hurts my eyes.
Anybody facing this problem?? Even if device theme set to dark quick tile's theme became white if using live wallpaper for home screen!!!!

Thing is I love dark mode on miui 11, but I didn't found how to modify it. Theme is a great thing, but can't you theme dark mode? Change the colors (I'm fed up with the standard blue) or call app style...

I want to turn default apps and phone background to black color. Is it possible?
Update your EMUI to 10, and turn on Dark Mode, most of them will be black.
EMUI9 also supports Dark Mode, but not all apps have dark theme
