Fps video camera settings absent in the menu - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

My Note 9 shows only 3 modes in the rear camera video setting, and no fps available. The highest quality available is FHD.
Any idea why and how I can find the other modes?

Tap the area where it says FHD 1920x1080 (highlighted) and it will show you all settings you have available.
Best regards

YouTube 5.9.0.12 and no resolution selection?

I'm on Android 4.4.3 and Sense 6.0 Developer Edition -stock rooted.
I've updated the YouTube app to 5.9.0.12 but it has no resolution selection -check the attached screenshot. Is anyone else with the same version and with no resolution selection? What could be the reason for that?
Now updated to 5.9.0.13 and still no resolution selection!
Thanks in advance!
Any idea?
No resolution in settings. There is a choice of resolution when you play a video, but there is no 1080 p in my case

Some people have the choice to select resolution from the settings. Why our apps don't have that?

I've had received all the update in time but never had the resolution select option since it was first introduced. Very strange!

I had it on old version. Never looked after updates because I set it to 1080p and thought it didn't change after updating the app. Now it's gone and no way to set resolution higher than 720p

I don't get to choose any resolutions, not 1080p, no 720p. I didn't have this option at all on any release. Very strange!

I found a hidden 2k resolution option

Install this app :
Activity launcher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher
Then
Open the top menu
Click all activities
Scroll down to settings
There may be a few instances of settings
Expand & search for display
Scroll to display
There may be several instances of display
There will be two display instances
Enter the one that says
Com.android.settings.displaySettings
Can anyone verify they've achieved 2k?
Not work on my Mi MIx with the latest EU Rom.
Isnt 4K a hardware limitation on the mi mix?!
Nope caps at 1080p
well it did work for me but 2k? since its and HD device so, it does look more cooled do just like in the screen shots.
What? I didn't get it.
How do you know you've gotten 2k resolution?
sorry to disappoint you guys but this could be a futuristic feature of the application should Xiaomi release a 2 version !!
looks good do

if you compare the screen shot it does look like the black looks more black which it does. and 2k? right.
My dear if Xiaomi manufactured this device with a 2k screen they would have announced that as a marketing strength. To be sure just open youtube and find a 2k clip and try to switch the 2k option and see what happens and let us know the results.

oh, you still here ROID? can't let the Mix go?
what is interesting is if it changes the rendering resolution, because there's this thing called super sampling. what it does is it creates frames in highers resolution and then outputs them to the screen creating a slightly sharper, higher quality image. For example, even if you have a FHD computer screen, it's better to watch 2k or even 4k videos, for better quality.

I never clicked the 2k option.
The two screen shots are both in native resolution.
I posted two screen shots as a way of showing how to find what I'm talking about.
I'm not sure why the second is darker.
Good question?
Just try a 2k clip and if you can see 2k as an option to play the vedio then it works

AIS for the Honor Play

I was wondering that, HPlay only has EIS which is absolutely better than nothing, but since it has the flagship chipset could they add the "AIS" from the P20 pro? Would be cool seeing it in the Play since it gives overall better results than just EIS.
They said it will get it with an update in both launch events (India and Europe)!!
But it hasn't arrived yet, I don't know when...

I have what's in that most recent screenshot plus Stabiliser plus "priority save to sd card - burst photos will be saved to the internal storage".
UK Honor Play (4gb ram, 64gb internal), emui 8.2.0, current version cor-l29 8.2.0.130(c432), current patch package cor-l29 8.2.0.130(c432patch01).

4K recording missing in pie One UI latest camera update?

It appears that in the new One UI camera app, 1080 is the highest resolution available for video recording now. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes it's true I can't record in 4K resolution at all.
You have to tap on the video resolution selection in the settings to bring down a dropdown menu that lists the resolutions including 4K.

Can you share screenshots on how and where ??..all i can find was 1440p at 1:1 is highest.
I have the same issue on my Note 9, no UHD/4K option.
It's simple... Go to Rear Video size and tap under resolution.
Screenshot attached.
You are right. I feel stupid. I was clicking the dot in front of the aspect ratio and haven't realized I can tap on the resolution.

I was thnking the exact same thing. I design UI's for a living, and I can tell you now, if users aren't using your software the way you expected them to, it's not the users fault, it's the software which isn't clear enough!

I got the Google Pixel 5, what do you need to know?

UPDATE 15 October:
Embargo has now lifted!
I got THREE additional videos now live; the full review, camera, and audio review:
UPDATE 5 October:
I've been informed on 5 Oct to not post anything further on the Pixel 5 until the embargo lifts (which I can't communicate when that is).[/B]
You can find more information about the device via my Twitter feed; incl battery updates, camera shots etc.
Hi everyone,
Seen there's some love for the Pixel 5 here at XDA (Hi again XDA gang!), so as I have the phone in front of me. What do you need to know?
I'm looking to get confirmation from my source to see if I can extract the camera.apk for you, but before sharing any files (including original photos from the Pixel 5), I'm getting it confirmed. Rather be safe than sorry
Anyway, ask away, I'll try my best to answer everything I can.
Oh, and my video on YouTube of the phone (if you don't believe I have the phone), is live on my channel too:
EDIT: Latest YouTube hands-on video has just gone live!

Hey, thanks!
Can you confirm that you can switch to the Ultra Wide Angle camera in third party apps (Snapchat, Instagram, etc) when doing a pinch zoom out?
Is there an Ambient EQ setting in Settings>Display>Advanced?
How much bright display is?
Can you force 90hz from developer settings?
How is haptics?
How is stereo speakers?
How slow it feels to flagship phones like Pixel 4 or Note 20 Ultra? Especially if someone is using 2020 flagship phones.
How does the screen brightness compare to the 4xl?
The wallpapers on the promotional images are included? Can you share? ?
Since you're able to hold it and use it, is it worth the price they are retailing it for ?
How are the stereo speakers, are they comparable to the 3XL ?
How responsive is it ?
How's the feel of the device, slippery or gritty like the renders suggest? Does it support hdmi output from its usb-c port? Still squeezable? Fp gestures for qs return? Pixel visual core is present? Any feature parity between the normal and ultrawide cam? What's the max slo-mo fps? Anything major is missing? And sorry for asking so many questions. ?

I don't use Snapchat, so can't comment on that. But on IG I can't zoom out, but can zoom in. Same happens when I'm on the S10+, however.

It gets REALLY bright, haven't measured it yet - but I suspect it's above 500 nits.
'Smooth Display' can be enabled via the Display options: 60->90Hz automatically.
There's no additional option in the dev settings
Haptics feel natural, nothing to report, other than it's located at the bottom of the phone.
Stereo speakers upon first impressions are pretty poor; they sound tinny. The S10+ trounces it.
Feels fluid so far, but can'#t really pass much judgement as I've only had it for a short time.

Both features will probably come in a Pixel Feature Drop, then. Thanks for sharing!
How is the screen quality?
IE: coming from a QHD Pixel 4 XL to the FHD Pixel 5?
Add Build.prop file please
What's the screen brightness? Is it brighter than the 4 XL? I have googled everywhere and just no answer about something so important.
Also is the battery life significantly better and do you think it's worth buying coming from a 4 XL?
Edit: nvm just saw your replies! Thank you! Is Ambient EQ available under Settings > Display?
It's not listed on the Store site which is suspicious.
