Help with Google Home App - Google Home

I'm stuck with 24 corrupted home structures that I can't delete. Google knows it's a bug but has offered no timeline on a fix. Right now there are no home automation accounts connected to my account or the Google home app. Previously the only home automation app I had installed was the kasa app for a smart plug. But I have since disconnected it from my account and removed the device from the home app. When I look on my kids phones in the home app, I do not see any home automation connected to their account. Neither of their accounts have the option to remove the extra empty home structures which cannot be deleted from my account. Also, my backup email account, which I used to try and fix this whole issue, does not show the undeletable home structures. I completely deleted all information from my Google home app and my kids Google home apps before I factory reset all the devices and set everything back up. When I set everything back up, I started with only my account. And at that time the undeletable home structures were already there, before I linked my kids accounts. So, unlinking them (from voice match) does not help to remove the undeletable home structures.
Right before I noticed the undeletable home structures, the main things that I can think of are:
I removed myself as a home member (there where no home members in the home structure).
I deleted all devices and home structures.
I factory reset the device (Google home speaker).
I cleared all data for home app, Google app, Google play services, Google play store, and Google services framework. I disabled all of those apps that I could and reinstalled the updated versions (there was no way to completely deactivate or uninstall Google play services on my phone).
For my online information, I went into my Google account and deleted every single thing that I could, from my timeline history to all of my web activity, etc... I also went in to connected apps, and deleted the item that said Google home as well as the item that said Google Assistant connected device. Now that everything is set up again, in connected apps, there is an item for Google Assistant connected device, but there is no item for Google home.
I removed my Google account from my phone and re-added it.
I factory reset my wireless router.
Finally, I also went into my Google drive and deleted my backup for my phone before I factory reset it.
I really believe that the issue has to be a bug with the home app and refreshing the data on the server. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I removed all home members, and then deleted the devices & Home structures, as well as factory reset the devices.
Also, I really wonder if it has something to do with different versions of the home app. For example when I was troubleshooting, I tried logging in on a different device. On my old phone, I was logged in with an older version of the home app and an older Android system (Android 5 lollipop). However, even if I log back in on that device, there is no option to see the undeletable home structures. So I have no way to delete them even from an old version of the app. Also, when I first linked my kids accounts, it was on their tablets, which was using the older version of the home app, as well as an older Android system (Android 5 lollipop). Now they are using the newer version of the Google home app on their phones which have Android 7. And I'm using the newest version of the Google home app on Android 9 pie on my pixel 2 XL.
I'd really like to get this figured it out before I continue to add my other devices to the Google home app. Any help/feedback would be appreciated!
If nothing else, why can't they just have an option to manually delete any home structures from within the Google home app? There are separate areas for devices, rooms, and groups (within a home structure). Why can't they add a different area that lists all of the homes you are a member of, with the option to remove yourself and delete the home structure? Right now my account says that I am a home member of 25 different home structures. But I'm actually only a home member of one home structure. When I click on one of the empty home structures, it just sends me back to the one working structure that I have. So I have absolutely no way to delete the empty home structures. Even adding an option to completely delete all Google home app data from the servers would be a great option, that many people would appreciate.

Here is Google's official response so far:
"Our Engineering Team has informed that they don't have the option to wipe the account and it's not recommended. For now our workaround for this fix is using an alternate account."
Here is my reply back:
At this thread (https://support.google.com/googlehome/thread/624656?hl=en) there were others with the same issue and the problem was fixed by someone at support fixing their broken Google Home data in the cloud/server/back-end. They must have that option. Why could they fix it for others but not for me?
Why would it not be recommended? It would just be like starting over for the Google Home data. In fact, why isn't that an option yet, to be able to easily delete/reset all Google Home data? There are options to delete everything else account related (web activity, timeline, etc...). I think we should be able to delete/reset our Google Home data too.
How does using a different account help? I want to be able to access my own information and services.
Will there still be a definite fix for my issue? When will that fix happen?

Sorry for my absence in posting. My problem has actually been fixed since March 13th, but not before some work on my end. I actually searched around and emailed the Google Cast/Google Home Developers and got a reply from one very helpful Developer. We exchanged emails, I provided lots of details, and he was able to look into my account and eventually fix the issue. It took a couple weeks but eventually the broken home structures were gone. I still don't know what caused it or how they fixed it. I asked about other people with the same issue, and he replied that they were working on a fix for everybody but it could take a while. Hopefully now the issue is fixed. I don't want to give out his email because he was nice enough to help me and I don't want tons of people trying to contact him. So please don't ask. But have hope that if your issue isn't solved yet, there really is a team working on issues and there really should be a fix at some point.

some apps refuse to authenticate with CyanogenMod

This started happening after I went to CyanogenMod a couple of months back, but it's still happening with 4.2.13. Some of my Android apps refuse to authenticate even after I check login credentials and verify that they work fine on the desktop. Some examples of apps that always fail:
PayPal
Personal Assistant
GetItDone (a beta app)
Some examples of apps that have no problem ever:
Pandora
Last.fm
Facebook
Seesmic
Evernote
all Google apps
On #cyanogenmod, someone suggested there was an issue with APN settings, but I think he misunderstood me. My phone itself is fully authenticated with Google.
never mind
I use the HTC keyboard and I find that it almost systematically inserts a space every time I type a period. This screwed up my username wherever it was my e-mail address.

[Q] What prevents syncing? Anyone else on 10.1 having sync isues?

I'm on a Nook HD+ 32GB and CM 10.1.3. Sync is simply not working. I don't mean calendar or contacts, I mean everything that uses sync. Or, to put it another way, every app/service that registers themselves under the "Accounts" section of the settings. So for example, Firefox sync, Evernote, Vine and, of course, all Google services (including Gmail).
The only things that are syncing correctly are the apps that use their own sync like Aquamail, Plume and Wunderlist. Those are all working fine.
The symptoms: When I, for example, press "sync now" in any of the Google accounts, the little sync circle appears next to the first sync item. It doesn't spin (not sure if this rom the circle is supposed to spin) and it just stays there, forever, till I reboot the tablet. I am getting no error messages.
What I have done: Ok, the initial sync works. When I first set up the account, it syncs. I have since factory reset and re-flashed 4 times trying to fix this. The initial sync works but then it never syncs again. If I remove and re-add accounts, it syncs fine the first time but then it doesn't sync again.
I have tried deleting all data from every sync enabled app. When I do that, it doesn't sync at all, not even once. Only time it syncs, that I have seen, is on the initial account setup.
Help: I need troubleshooting ideas and, better, all the things that might stop syncing from working. The mechanism itself seems to be working as it does an initial sync. Something seems to be stopping it from doing any more syncs though and I have no clue what or how the sync system works. What apps are involved in syncing? Is it Google Framework? Other things?
Thanks!!
Be sure that you don't prevent google apps to see your personal data. Go to Settings -> Security -> Privacy guard to check that

Appreciate the help! I don't use Privacy guard and no apps are enabled, but I do use Open PDroid. I tried deleting all rules for every system app in in Pdroid and then syncing but it still does not work.
Any other ideas? Thanks!
After not getting any traction on fixing this, I started trying the 10.2 nightlies. However, I am running into issues with that and would really rather be back on my 10.1.3 build. So a quick "bump" to this thread.
I am wondering if AFwall is somehow to blame here? Before I flashed 10.2 I uninstalled afwall and Pdroid to see if that would fix anything and it didn't. I have also removed the following items from the rom:
email, news and weather, notepad, exchange services, Google+ and picasa uploader. I should note I have removed email, exchange services, google+ and picasa uploader on my 2 Samsung phones (G4 and Note 2) and my Asus tablet (TF300) as well and not had any issues, but I though I would mention it.
I think those are the only things that make my build different from everyone else.
All right, hope this info helps someone. Instead of reading the new Dan Brown, which has been on my want to to list, I sat in a nipa cabana on Saturday, restored my 10.1 nandroid, and tracked this one down.
The culprit is the Xposed module Gravity Box. Once that was disabled and uninstalled sync worked again.
A couple of weeks ago I gave up on CM 10.1 and put on 10.2 to get past this problem. I didn't have time to do a full rebuild of my environment and only things that Titanium could Hypershell restore was put back. Xposed was one of the many things that was not installed. So I am not sure if this problem persists on 10.2 but at this point I am not going back to 10.2 now that I got this worked out.
Someone can tag this one closed/resolved and I hope this helps someone.

Conflict between Google account and CM 10.1.3

I bought an HD+ and am having a strange problem/conflict with my Google account. When I first setup my Google account it was working fine but I noticed that the recent apps button did nothing. I screwed up something with the Google account and kept getting a message saying there was a problem connecting to the Google servers. At this point, none of the Google apps worked and I got sync errors trying to sync Gmail. However now the recent apps button was working! Today, I removed 2-step verification and setup an application specific password. I am now logged in on this device, all the Google apps are working but the recent apps button no longer works. I am stumped at this point as to what to do. Suggestions:?
update: the recent apps button is working. It seems to require a different hold time than other tablets. I have now discovered the "magic touch."

Google Home Integration With Google Calendars Is An Embaressment

After recently purchasing a couple of Google Home Minis I have realised that Google seem incapable of bringing their departments together to make the gadget work properly with Google Calendars. Its so embaressing as the Amazon Echo actually works better with Google Calendars .. go figure!! If anyone can offer third party integration suggestions I would be really grateful.
First thing I noticed was that if I asked for my appointments for today, tomorrow, January etc it completely ignores my all day events .... I'm in the UK and I found a workaround for this by setting the language in the Google Home app to English (United States), apparently the U.S.A get new software versions earlier, indeed after this tweak in settings the Google Assistant recognises and reads out all day events.
The above regional fix however does not offer a solution for adding an all day event. The Google assistant does not recognise ' hey google add a new all day event' it still insists on asking for a time and if you say 'all day' for the time, it does not accept - anyone have a workaround or solution for this?
One other very annoying ommission is lack of integration with Google Keep. If I access my calendar via web browser, Googe Keep is tightly integrated for lists and nots, yet the Google Home team who seem to lacking a single iota of common sense have completley ommitted the option to use Google Keep for notes, lists and shopping list. - can anyone offer a solution or workaround?
The last and equally as annoying is if I say for example 'hey google what are my appointments for January' the reply is something like 'you have 8 appointments in January, here are your first 3' - who at Google in their infinite wisdom decided that everyone on the planet will only need to hear their next 3 appointments? Actually beginning to think that the people driving Google Home do NOT have an single grain of common sense between them. - Anyone have a solution or work around?
There are some other gripes like when adding an apointment using voice I don't have the option of adding a location, which is very important quite often I find....
Apologies for long-winded post wanted to put it all out there in case anyone would like to share solutions, altertive solutions to Google Calendar or thoughts....
I second all you've said. No integration with G Suite calendars either. Had to return mine.

Google Home Application issue with main Gmail account

(Quick note- apologies in advance for any confusion- I am looking for help with the "Home" application. Not the speaker)
I have been experiencing an issue for almost 2 years now with the Home application. I have two Nest Thermostats (2020 models) that would not connect at all to the Home app using my main Gmail account.
I raised tickets with Google support and received many calls and communications in an attempt to correct the issue. If I had to provide an estimate, probably over 7 hrs of total call time with support is a fair estimate. Attempts to correct my issue include various reboots, resets, factory resets, Wi-fi setting tweaks/changes and attempts connecting with different devices include Pixel 3XL, Samsung S7, iPad 7 Gen and 8th Gen. None of which worked.
In one of my experiments to connect my thermostats I created a "Test" home profile associated with my main gmail account, my experiment did not work and created a new issue because I cannot delete that Test account now.
During one call to delete Test home profile. Google support suggested I create a Home profile using a secondary Gmail account, miraculously I was able to connect and control my two nest thermostats via the Home app. However my issue now is my entire smart home profile (lights, speakers, routines, etc) are associated with my main account.
I'm looking for a way to correct this and have my smart home profile associated with my main Gmail account. Is there any way to accomplish this? Im thinking this is a Google server side issue that I would need to raise a support ticket for because I can't do this on my end.
I recently upgraded to a P7Pro – and would like clean up/Reset Main account to control all smart functions including thermostats in my main profile.
TLDR - looking for a way to reset my Home app profile from Google server side to correct long existing issues with Home app. Currently have my thermostats associated with secondary account because they wouldn't connect to main account. As well as delete a test profile on main account I cannot remove at all.
Thanks in advance for your feedback
