They may check with Prime first because it has 2gb ram then release it
later for redmi 2 as Redmi 2 prime and redmi 2 are one and same except

yes the lollipop redmi 2 prime got is 32 bit and with a locked boot loader and its 5.1.1.
How to unlock bootloader as no flashing is happening.

n bootloader is not locked...
recovery partition is now changed...thats why we can not install old twrp...we need to make new twrp or custom recovery with new partition....
and if you again thinking that the bootloader is locked then go to 'developer option' and turn on OEM unloack...and you have unlocked your device...

I have installed supersu & root is fine system wide. I needed a new recovery to be flashed.

Jesus Christ, very good news, but this can mean rip p8lite...usually huawei release kernel when they don't update phones anymore(exept newer ones)... And + i saw that huawei abandon old phones, and sadly our is old... I hope we will still get some updates

Not really... We still don't have device tree or other sources... Bad sadly, they released this kernel, but our roms now are using 4.1, soo we don't get nearly anything new

I think p8lite developer is working on oreo rom so maybe someone will be able to build rom to our device from his sources once he gets it working.

dude its a different soc and its hard to develop rom for this soc models.
atleast we have some one who is working on this soc just be patient he is working on oreo development.

No he won't work for this device but if you have kirin soc version you can try that ROM on your device.

Well I have Snapdragon variant. So this means it's the end of Honor 4x development for this variant as even if someone will port the ROM through his sources it'll only work with devices having Kirin SoC right?

How likely will we get a working OxygenOS in our K20 Pro? Looking at the specs, both devices almost have identical features...

you can use the GSI but will need patches for this device.

I wonder why we are not seeing post about this? Can someone help me how to port or start a working GSI for OOS? or lead me where to start learning making a new rom from scratch?

A new camera app version 5.0 with Lecia features, colour correction, and huge improvements has been released yesterday for mi 12+++ and not compatible with MI11U.
Anyone got any idea how to make it work? I am fairly confident it will a good improvement compared to original app.
