Steps to install Pixel Experience ROM on Redmi 4A
To install the custom ROM on Redmi 4A, you need to have these prerequisites.
Prerequisites:
The phone should have TWRP installed.
Download the ROM for your device.
Move the downloaded files to the root folder of your device’s internal storage.
Backup your Redmi 4A as flashing custom ROM will result into the loss of data.
Charge your device more than 70%.
Steps to install Pixel Experience ROM on Redmi 4A
Head over to the TWRP recovery on your device by holding power button and volume button at once for few seconds until Poco logo appears on the screen.
After getting into the recovery mode on Redmi 4A tap “Wipe” option and then select factory reset, tap “Advanced wipe” button and at last swipe the bar to confirm the factory reset.
Now select “Install” option from the TWRP main screen and navigate to the root folder or any other folder where you have downloaded the Pixel Experience .zip file.
Select the Pixel Experience ROM Zip file and then “Swipe to confirm” the flash. It will take 5-10 minutes to install the ROM.
Once complete, you need to select “Reboot to System.” It will take some time to boot for the first time.
You’re using the Redmi 4A with the Pixel Experience ROM.

TWRP will be replaced by MI-Recovery 3 everytime

Hello,
I want to install a custom ROM (Lineage OS) on my Redmi 4. The problem is, that I can't get TWRP installed.
It's successfully flashed, but when i get into recovery its just MI-Recovery 3
What i know so far, that MIUI reverts the recovery back to stock.
I found many tutorials online, but none of them worked for me.
Some tutorials said, that I have to reboot directly from fastboot to recovery. But then the key combination did not work. Just when the phone is shut down.
Currently the following OS is installed:
MIUI Global 10.2 | Stable
10.2.2.0 (MCEMIXM)
Android Version: 6.0.1 MMB29M
Best regards
Try OrangeFox recovery, different versions of TWRP, etc ...
It's not uncommon to happen, try to boot directly to recovery.
Your bootloader unlocked?
Thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately I already tried all these versions https://dl.twrp.me/santoni/
The bootloader is unlocked.
With boot directly to recovery you mean:
fastboot.exe boot twrp-3.5.2_9-0-santoni.img
There I get the following error: dtb not found
When I type in the comman a second time my device changes to "qhsusb_bulk" in the device manager, which i guess is no good sign.

That line is the key to the solution, check this thread.
Nice, now I am able to get into TWRP.
But saddly my screen is now not responsive.
It asks immediately for a password, but I cant press anything. Is that a known issue or is there a known fix?

That's a known bug. The developer said that it is your actual phone's password/pin.
Check TWRP thread of your device, other users also got this problem. And they got a way through.
Managed to brick the device :/.
Had to flash with MiFlash again.
I tried an OTG Cable, but its not supported with my phone.
Tried different recovery images.
Found that issue with other phones, but not in the TWRP thread of the redmi 4.

Yeah that model causes confusion. Thanks for the hint.
For that phone literally no custom roms exists.
I found one with lineage OS, which is pretty much outdated and wifi is not working fine.
Probably going back to stock rom.

Is there a TWRP image for the Redmi Note 9 V12.0.8.0.QJOMIXM?

I have attempted to flash multiple TWRP images on my Redmi Note 9 (V12.0.8.0.QJOMIXM) but the result has either been to boot into stock recovery or boot into the TWRP background with missing menu/options? Have I been using the wrong image(s)? Is there one available for this build?
Thanks in advance.
Do trying to watch some videos in youtube about this?
'cause there is of rom version to recovery type
I need TWRP recovery for Redmi Note 9 miui 12.5.1.0(RJOMIXM) Merlin. Help!

Flashing recovery does not brick your device, you can flash another easily and safely.
I suggest you to flash recovery using fastboot.

Question HELP I bricked my phone - Stuck on fastboot loop

So I really new into this, I didn't really know what I was doing but i tried to install Pixel Experience on my device. After some struggle it seems that I managed to flash the rom into system. I followed the instruccions to the part where you wipe all data from the phone, but then it got stucked and didn't start the OS, maybe system got corrupted or something bc when I try to reinstall the rom cmd tells me "This partition doesn't exists".
As far as i know there isn't a version of twrp for Redmi note 10 5g so all I have is Xiaomi ADB Fastboot Tools. Pls help me.
What firmware do you want to install?
Can you elaborate on your installation process, guide instructions and firmware sources?
1:
Do not need to use twrp, general Fastboot command to brush the GSI on the line, after installation to play some black screen patch and settings.
GSI always jumps to Fastboot and Recovery after booting, indicating that there is a problem with GSI, replace it with another variant or downgrade version.
2:

My process was a total mess bc I didn't knew my device had 2 partitions in system and the post didn't clarify that, so I found this other tutorial (
). Everything went smoothly, the installation was completed and I wiped all data, rebooted to system, and got stuck on a loop of the Redmi logo. I assumed something gone wrong and I tried to go fastboot again and when i try to install the image sends me the error "This partition doesn't exists".
I don't have the precise commands on cmd I wrote bc i restarted my pc. Sorry.

Some people have given feedback that this phenomenon occurs with v415.
I tried it and this problem also appeared. They said that dropping down to V414 would not cause this problem.
I don't know if the latest version has a fix?
I have not tried this firmware again and am currently using lineageos19.1

Pixel Experience Plus v415.1 is also reported not to work on MediaTek devices. v414 is the latest working version.

This tutorial works. But not ABSOLUTELY. I did get stucked on bootloader ever after flashing 3 different images. I think that problem was caused because versions of bootloader in my original ROM and installed GSI image didn't match(I was trying to flash latest Android version but my original ROM was Android 11). So I tried flashing the GSI image with Android version 11 and that worked. Therefore, I wanna say that just don't worry just keep flashing and you'll see the Love One.
