Magisk not giving full root access - Magisk

Alright, so I just rooted my SM-T380 by flashing the latest Magisk with TWRP but many root apps (like ES File Explorer) are saying I don't have root access when I permanently granted them root permissions with Magisk... Also Root Checker Basic says root access is properly installed on my device. I've also tried uninstalling Magisk then reinstalling it but no results. My SM-T380 is currently on Android version 8.1.
What's going on here? And how could I fix this? I'm stumped here...
And could it possibly be SELinux causing some root apps not to work even though I granted them root permissions? (I don't know enough about SELinux to know if this is the main cause of this problem)
Take a look at this imgur album: imgur.com/a/zSJGQTa

(The imgur album shows you that root apps aren't working even though they have root permissions)

Can't uninstall system apps; Can't restore DocumentProvider

I'm running OOS 4.1.1 with Magisk. My problem is that since Magisk is systemless, I can't use TBP to uninstall system apps, only freeze them. So I went in TWRP and deleted apps out of system/apps and mistakely deleted DocumentProvider. 1) how do I uninstall system apps the right way (granting TBP system access), and 2) how do I restore DocumentProvider? Thanks.
Are you on Magisk v11.5 or newer? Because the issue where Titanium Backup couldn't mount system rw has been fixed since then... I just tested it on my Nexus 6 and I can delete system apps just fine with TiBu (Magisk v12).
On my OP3T I debloat apps systemlessly with a Magisk Module. After all, it's a systemless mask, why start messing with the system by deleting stuff?
Easiest way to get the DocumentProvider back would be to dirty flash the ROM.
I am on a clean install of android 7.0 for the galaxy s7 exynos. Flashed twrp, then Magisk v12. Magisk manager shows I'm rooted correctly and granted super user access through MagiskSU and passing safety net. Used root checker to verify root and passed. Installed Titanium Backup Pro to uninstall a few system apps like one drive Facebook and Instagram but even after trying multiple methods of removing them with restarts and cache wipes I am unable to remove apps. Also tried ES File Explorer with root explorer enabled- unable to uninstall apps through that app list as well.
Had no issues with a previous identical clean flash using SuperSU 2.79 and titanium- what am I doing wrong?
Would greatly appreciate the help. Thankyou

I'm having the same issue.

Rooted with Magisk, but apps don't seem to be getting superuser access.

I unlocked bootloader, loaded twrp, loaded magisk, and rooted. It passes root test apps, and it says it's granted superuser to apps (specifically NoBloat and AdFree), but they don't seem to actually have superuser access. NoBloat "disables" and "deletes" apps, but they don't disappear. AdFree loaded a host file, but ads are still everywhere. In short, they think they have superuser access, Magisk Manager thinks they have superuser access, but they don't seem to actually have it. I'm exhausted, and at this point, I have no idea what the problem is and I'm frankly out of my depth. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ok... I've deduced that it's an f2fs kernal. Now I get to start slogging through the forums for a fix. *sigh*

SuperSU no longer prompting for root access

Like I said, if the default action is prompt, an app seeks root access and there is no prompt to grant it. If I change to grant as default, everything works. Root Checker, for instance, will fail to detect root in prompt mode but does so in grant mode. Same for Root Browser and, most importantly, Xposed.
I've tried reinstalling SuperSU. Didn't help. I have systemless root on a Moto X Pure and SuperSU 2.82.
I really don't want to leave it with grant as the default action. Not safe. I've been able to find a few other posts with a similar problem but they don't lead to solutions. This is a new behavior. Prompt used to work. About a week ago, I installed the latest version of Sensible Android Auto in Xposed. It worked twice and then stopped. My guess is that is the time when SuperSU stopped granting root. Everything that needs root can get root but ONLY if root is granted automatically to anything that asks for it.
Just rooted my Kyocera Event and deduced it to have the same problem. SuperSU 2.8.2 was not providing prompts and thus not granting root access, however changing to grant default did provide root. I tried installing SuperSU 2.7.9 rc4 but had the same result. I'm now just waiting for a definitive fix while looking for an alternative solution.

Galaxy S5 Verizon, Magisk hide setting missing

Rooted my phone with Odin, using a Stock Rom, and a .bat file which installed KingRoot, BusyBox and Safestrap.
Then installed twrp thanks to this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909/amp/
After that removed KingRoot and installed Magisk, but the Magisk Hide setting was missing.
Found this solution https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/2-solutions-problem-magiskhide-disabled-t3758889/amp/ but can't follow it, persit.magisk.hide and the magisk folder are missing in my phone.
¿Anyone knows what to do? (I want to use Netflix without losing root access).
PS: I have root access.
PS2: Using Mobile, can't upload images.
That is usually caused by the kernel lacking the necessary features for MagiskHide to work. Details:

Magisk appears to be installed and granting root to apps, but none of the apps works

I just installed magisk succesfully(?) on my xperia 5 ii following this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-5-ii/how-to/guide-magisk-twrp-recovery-t4177209/page7
Using the beta channel (stable simply doesn't even boot), magisk manager shows v21 installed. However none of the root apps I tried so far (busybox, adaway, system app remover) works. All of them give some kind of error. The root privileges are being granted (I get the promt to grant/deny and the popup that root was granted). This is very weird and the first time it happens to me on any device. The root browser file managers shows the "root directory" with 0 free space incorrectly (1.6GB used - 1.72 total) I tried copying a file inside the /system directory and it just didn't do anything. I tried reinstalling magisk from the manager, but its still the same. Any help will be appreciated, I really have no idea what to try at this point.
Hard to say... What's "some kind of error"? Maybe the Magisk logs show something (although you'd likely have to switch to the Canary channel to get any useful logs).
I think it's best to wait for a reply to your query in the thread you linked. That's likely to be the best place to get help, since that's where you find other users of the same device...
