I tried but I dont like the result... I just want it perfect hahaha

Is it possible to restore the original notch shape of Mi 9, without the black pixels around, perhaps with an ADB command?

What number would you recommend?

Still no solutions to align the notch with status bar?

It is fixed in the dev beta version. Xiaomi.eu's rom includes a switch to disable the notch overlay. This will probably be included in the next stable release.

It's possible here on Dev version
*Edit* someone already mentioned it. Just to add tho, it also allows removing notch(so everything shifts down a bit). And the status bar is in line with notch

iPhone status bar theme MIUI

Hey!
Can somebody make a theme for MIUI status bar like iPhones one (screenshot) ?
The point is to make it a little bit thinner than normal MIUI.
Note: I want it for MIUI Gingerbread 'cause it's easier than MIUI v4, but if you want it for MIUI v4 ...
Thanks!!
Every time i look at a picture of an iphone i want one so badly
Me too, but my phone looks now like an iPhone with MIUI + Ultimate iPhone theme.
Now I'm tryin to make it perfect
ugh. just go buy one.
If you pay for it then okay!
In Europe it's expensive my dear friend!
Try this psd, mate, not so hard but it need a lot of time with these resource you can rebuild the iphone theme for miui for best result

Cool, but the most important thing is to make it thinner, like the iPhones one

Don't even think that's possible unless you use a lower DPI.

Yeah. LCD Density will do it, but it will make everything smaller.

i guess you can do it by editing systemui.apk's layout xml files manually
your gonna mess up alot of things by editing status bar to be thinner.
If you do it, the time will have to be changed to be smaller and fit, then it will have to be modded again so miui can change where it's location is. All this but for pretty much every notification you'll ever get. all the icons are going to have to be smaller than before, and it may not even fit on the status bar.
Just use a lower dpi, im on 200 and it looks really good.
Changing DPI, the icons remain at the same dimension and the labels are smaller and they come on the icons..

The battery and signal are a cluster. I'm not to fimiliar with MIUI but I'm guessing it follows the same principle. Only the battery text can be moved to the right on its own. I may be wrong but that's how it was when I was running CM7.

The clock and date in quick settings a bit ugly, are you working on that?

i have a question, what you add into systmeui for batery percent in quicksettings section? .. and your problem. try give a look on your wifi/signal icons, your gap can make some space on sides of your icons "pictures", (i mean try cut excess space on the sides of signal/wifi icon)

It is not problem of my wifi and signal icons. I have already tried what you have posted. It is related with a xml file(I don't know which).
Thanks for suggestion.

Hello @LisuPlayingGames,
AOSP systemui have brightness bar so I will not remove it. If your talking about gap between wifi and signal icons, I am working on it(no solution till now). I will try to change max no. of quick settings to 6 in my next update.

Change Nav Bar height?

Back with in S8+ days there were 3 apks floating around that allowed you to change the height of the navigation bar in order to increase screen real estate. I quite liked it as did a lot of other people I assume because you can find links to plenty of websites talking about it. However I can't find any talk about it for this phone.
Does anyone know of anything like this for the Note 8?
Still on the s8+ but considering getting a note 8 soon. Just out of curiosity, have you tried installing the same apk?
You can change the Minimum DPI setting in DEV settings to make it look higher res. I have mine set to 475 and it has a lot more space. You can then change the font size to be one mark below normal and it really helps.

Yep I had changed that. on both the S8+ and Note 8. That's good, but the nav bar still bugs me on this phone. Everytime I look at it, I notice it's too big lol
Hmm. I wonder if the guy who created the old apk uses an S8 and hasn't bothered to make one for the note 8. I'd imagine it is quite simple. Wonder if you could make the request?
Edit: I made a request to tigerhoods, who I believe authored the apk for the s8.
Here is the response I got:
it works when packed in a sammy theme if that makes sense..
u have to decompile a Samsung theme then add the nav values to the common.apk then recompile theme for it to take effect now

Looking further into how to do this, but I haven't yet been able to get my hands on the apk for the theme I've been using. But, from what I gather, you can't just install an apk to change the Navbar height with the note 8. You have to specifically edit the apk for whatever theme you're using.

Thanks mate. lol no way I can do this. Sounds like a lot of trouble now
Nothing new here?
If you mean something like that..... here are some overlay mods they are working without root. The 1 i have linked is to minimize the height a bit more then half.

Android P-ify

Hi guys.
Since we've been left out of p dev preview, the nice Android -ify folk have come out with an Xposed module that works really well on our 6p. Although in alpha, it's quite stable on 8.1 stock rom.
For the latest apk, head here.

Do you guys still have haptic feedback when you go back with gestures navigation??
no that has been gone . The font size in settings has been updated to bigger font and I like the colourful icons in settings menu. All in all I fell in love again with the Mate 20 Pro. It seems a bit snappier and smoother too.

Big icons? No ..... it could be really nasty. Can I change it?

Yes I was expecting some colorful customizations to AOD, it remains the same though I have got the official EMUI10 154 version.. disappointing.
On the brighter side, the phone is snappier, better battery life though too early to say, and dark mode is good.
i was also expecting AOD to have different settings and themes as well . Just too bad
