Yes. Installed Philippines firmware on Vietnam device. Work very well

you can find the Android 9 rom for Note FE 935F at sammobile, the other carrier didn't have the update yet

This is good news. Still running 8.0 here in United States, not sure if I want to give up root..but still good news.

No. My device is normal as it used to on Android 8. Maybe ur devices is optimizing after update. I suggest u wait about 1 day to see that issue it gone or not. If not i think u should factory reset and flash firmware via Odin.

Not about the button because the new A50 dont have Bixby button but it can call up Bixby by holding the power button.
Maybe Note Fe is too old so Samsung wont support it much.

Hah. Maybe i understand why. I think device that have SoC equipped NPU will have full Bixby services. With Exynos 8890, I cant find any information about NPU so i think it not have that.

No, if the limitation is about the chipset so there is no reason that Bixby can work with custom rom

The 8890 does not have a NPU.
NPU added to newest Samsung SOCs:
The headline feature of the Exynos 9820 is the inclusion of a dedicated NPU (neutral processing unit) for AI tasks.

Yes. But I think there will be some standard for each feature. Can run not mean it work great. That mostly true on XDA bcz there is a lot of port that available on XDA, but some devices are work well some not. So if u try to install working Bixby, Bixby will run but not as good as devices woth NPU equipped.

There are builds with some Note8 features. Some of them are based on a S8 firmware with Note8 extras, at this time they are almost the same. The one I'm running right now on my Sprint phone is based on the Stock Note5 firmware but with some S8 theming along with some of those Note8 extras like the live message. It passes the SafetNet, That's a big deal for me because I use Snapchat and Pokemon Go. Also has other features like the Edge panels and much more.

Hi, what do you think about rom?How does the battery work?
Now i have the drketan on n920c and i would like to try this ...

Note 8 Exynos: do you have the 5 GHz option in the advanced hotspot configuration?

I posted the same question on the S8+ forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/help/s8-exynos-5-ghz-option-hotspot-t3675821
My Exynos S8+ SM-G955F doesn't offer this option for selection, only 2.4 GHz.
I suspect the 5 GHz option for hotspot is only available on the Snapdragon version...

Just curious to know if the situation remains the same also on the Note 8 firmware.

I'm on the Korean Exynos N950N and I have it.
Actually both the posts were useful, so now I know that this option can be available both on Snapdragon and Exynos version.
It looks like that there is no limitation in the Exynos SOC itself, it's apparently a Samsung decision to show or hide this option in the regional firmwares.
Hi guys,
Just found this old thread while searching in Google for a similar question. I have the Note 8 too, Exynos version (SM-N950F) and, as seems by the previous post, Exynos also allows to broadcast the hotspot at 5.0 GHz, so it might be a firmware limitation.
Do you know if there is any specific ROM, CSC, tweak; anything that would give me that option to use the hotspot at 5.0 GHz? I have found this post by @phatWares mentioning a quite old tool by Wanam. Can anybody confirm this still would work? I ask because I'm fully on stock on my Note, so I'd like to have some assurance before tripping Know, flashing ROM, etc.
Thanks in advance for any feedback you can provide.
I had the same question and did some research.
It seems there is a new EU directive that restricts the use of 5ghz frequencies for mobile hotspots and this is why we are running into this issue (has to do with interference with police radars and such).
Logically one way to circumvent this limitation is to change CSC to a country that does not have such limitation.
I am outside the EU and I have a EU phone with British firmware and CSC, I have yet to find a proper CSC to switch to.

Thanks for your reply aljazzair. I'm also outside of the EU and US, but I think my phone is (SM-N950F) is an international unlocked version; I don't know what that is supposed to comply to.
Are you rooted? Have you tried the tool that I've mentioned in my previous post from Wanam? It seems to be a CSC Editor that allows you to enabled the 5.0 GHz option with a checkbox.

Hi,
My phone is not rooted. Like you, I have a SM-N950F (european unlocked).
.
I did change the CSC on my phone successfully once, it was a couple of weeks ago.
.
The reason was that I was on a TUR CSC due to an OTA update whilst in Turkey with a Turkish SIM on a TIM phone which had XFE firmware.
.
I was annoyed by the resulting samsung software notifications in Turkish, which is a language I do not understand, so I wanted them gone.
.
My CSC is now BTU/BTU/TIM.
.
The procedure I used involves using odin to flash what is called a "combination rom".
The combination rom essentially replaces the stock rom with samsung software used by samsung support engineering staff for diagnosis and repair.
.
It is critical to only flash a combination ROM that is compatible with your bootloader version.
.
I had the DSG1 stock ROM with the latest bootloader when I flashed the combination ROM, so the version I used is:
.
COMBINATION_FA71_N950FXXU7ASG1_CL12991683_QB24738638_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar.md5
.
There is a seemingly cumbersome procedure to follow involving Odin, several factory resets and reflashing multiple times, and it worked flawlessly for me.
It is described here:
.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74324845&postcount=87
.
I would re-use this procedure again without hesitation.
.
But I have yet to find a CSC code that would allow 5ghz hotspot capabilities (so non-EU) whilst retaining Samsung Pay and avoiding software notifications in a language I do not understand
.
If you know of such a CSC code, pls share
Perhaps somebody that tried that Wanam application to edit the CSC could confirm? That might be worth rooting for

Huawei are slow.
And some people are greedy.
FunkyHuawei has nothing to do with Huawei.
And as he (duraaraa) see it, you give him a donation and you get credits in return. So technically he's not selling firmware, but selling credits to use FH.

The Beta is normally sent to China based users or India, Yes it shows up on FF however if you ran a check it states its no ready for the phone just like B144 does currently, I am glad your running Android 9.0 EMUI 9.1 on your phone however you took a risk and a very big one at that.
Hence my statement above as so other don't go nuts and then come on here like it has been recently with "I have bricked my Honor 9 Lite HEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!".
If and when its offered via FF as safe or via the Honor Beta FTA will i even think about installing it.
Also another thing, if you hate EMUI 9.1, how are you going to roll back your device it needs a special firmware (Which yes does show on FF i know, but its the Chinese firmware yet again).
So rather coming out and going its not the truth maybe think why it was said in the first place!

Its the firmware for S9+, here we are talking about S9.

It should come soon tomorrow probably if someone capture the link
Quick question, do I need only UK CSC?
E.g. If I flash a BTU firmware on an ITV phone is it going to work, or given that it is a multi CSC it will just switch to ITV when I insert the sim?
Got this new beta and the best thing about it the keyboard which seems much better at auto correct now.

I must admit im quite dissapointed really. its just pie but abit faster and a better dark mode.
All in all dissapointed. But happy at the same time as it is definatly more faster and fluid then pie

I use combination firmware and Realterm to change CSC. I successfully changed CSC to BTU (England). I flashed BTU firmware. Run phone and turn on Samsung members App. Registration to BETA program pop-up on me. But when I click it and click enrol to start firmware download I get error that my SIM card is not from correct region. Even when sim card was not in phone. Only solution is to buy Sim card from England operator which I cant in my country. So I was unsuccessfull. Hope someone who has ability to download firmware will get download link a share it here with us. Thanks you very much and sorry for my bad English.
Could anyone do this who lives in the UK?

Not at all mate, thanks for trying at least. Seems an OTA is the only way to get it without the samsung members method. Hopefully someone catches it soon, itching to update.
I think we will have to wait for the second beta, so that those who could not because they formatted, can do it there
Has anyone made use of this new chat feature on the Samsung stock message app? I click on it to enable but nothing seems to happen. I don't know if it's to do with some future Google rcs chat option? Do you guys know much.

Guys,
Does Google Pay work for anyone on this beta?
For me (I'm on the Russian ROM (SER) and installed the beta unofficially, via "update.zip"). Now Google Play Store says device uncertified and Google Pay doesn't... well... pay.
Samsung Pay does though. I hate it though.
