that gradient.. haven't you seen chinese cases for the last 10+ years, really that exciting ? they should've made P30 pro display flat as it is on P30

It may depend on a country you live in but mine doesnt have it.
Not even an transparent basic case
My Mate 10 Pro had both. So there is a slight dissapointment there... Basic protection right after unboxing should be standard with all flagships.

Still waiting. I bought Pipo W2Pro which is using Teclast firmware and now regretting because of there is no any update after outdated Android 5.1.
Next time I will only purchase tablet, etc from Trusted brands like Samsung, HP, etc but not from any Chinese company.

I think huawei did a great job with the build quality and safety for this phone.

Yes, Huawei is good at building an excellent device. Huawei Mate 10 pro is even better waterproof.
Mine got small scratches on the screen just by putting it in my jeans... Without anything sharp.
My 3 year old umi super doesn't have those....

I basically use the search every time I open an app or make a call.
So coming from a Mate 10 Pro, it bothers me a lot that the P20 Pro dazzles me with the white interface every time i pull down the search.
This is on a P20 Pro CLT-L29 on EMUI 8.1.0.128 (same behavior also on 8.1.0.120 and 8.1.0.109)
My Mate 10 Pro remains dark, see screenshots attached
Is this a bug or does someone have a suggestion on how to fix this?

Pie has AOD for the mate 10 but it's kind of a battery drainer
Current AOD on Mate 10 Pro is mostly useless since it doesn't support any 3rd party apps.
All AOD apps in Play store work as an overlay, since they aren't system apps and so usually need an extra step or are just inconvenient.
hopefully Huawei will release this AOD update for Mate 10 series also.
