Nice to see AEX here!

Excellent work, this is running extremely well on mine.
No issues at all to mention.

@killcmd thanks for giving us crack-flashers yet another solid and stable rom to add to the quiver. ?

You're welcome, honestly when that guy put up the POSP it peaked my interest in compiling again. Happy to know someone besides me is using this.

I have tried searching with no luck, but is there any way to get games to use the entire display including the notch area?

If you have Magisk, download and install the zip file https://drive.google.com/open?id=1b1tPqPR-pL_3oSDw7p6omSXJdZhFEeCY
Then go to Developer option, display cutout and select Notch Killer.

Yeah, one of the reason I switched to custom roms. Credits go to him.

Thanks a bunch for that recommendation! I lied...lol.
I loaded the module, rebooted, module is enabled, but I don't see Notch Killer in Dev options/Display Cutout.
However upon testing, there is a new option "Double display cutout" which seems to enable it for everything which works fine for me!

Small FYI, init.d doesn't execute scripts in the init.d folder.
Otherwise, excellent work!

Was just going to download an older version when I saw that you had updated with the may patch. Thanks @killcmd ?

It's Permissive but I've never had a reason lately to run it enforcing so I'm not sure if it will cause problems. I would say setting to enforcing is probably fine though.

Always My Favorite ROM
Tried stock rooted, AOSiP, Liquid, and Resurrection Remix, and all were great. But I keep coming back to AOXP, both on this phone and my Axon 7. It's always rock solid, everything works, and it has good customization options. Thanks, devs!

Does this Rom have notch settings?

No, but you can try notchbarkiller.

Does it come with gapps ? Aside from wiping dalvik/cache, etc. You know the normal routine of moving from ROM to ROM ? I'm coming from stock rooted.

no gapps, install rom and twrp installer zip, reboot into rom, -reboot twrp. flash gapps, and magisk, reboot.

Root doesn't seem to be working, went in to superuser and tried flipping it disabled and then back to app and adb with no luck. Flashed the latest SuperSU in the meantime. Otherwise so far so good, and it is probably the fastest/most fluid rom I've tried ART on so far.
LOL, and it put me back to stock recovery... Ahh, not sure if you meant to leave it in there, but stock recovery is in the rom zip.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Interesting about the root and stock recovery. Anybody else having these issues? I had a look and found the same source tree after compilation than in my Hammerhead folder....did you open a Terminal and executed $su to see if the superuser is working? I usually do and found no issues. I will check and see what other users say..
Hi, updated one line in the Android.mk for the Superuser. New version is up and can be downloaded. Hope improves your issues on SU. I have none on my Hammer.....
UPDATE - SU is not working. Just compiling new version. Give me 30 minutes.
How is the battery life on this? Are you using stock kernel?
CaN this be run on dalvik as I'm using xposed modules

Stock recovery is still in the zip file, unless I'm totally off base here... But it did put me back to stock recovery again.
And I still get a Sorry test failed, feature cannot run on your device when I try to activate Root access in things like ES File Explorer.

Hi, nevermind on the recovery. You will stay on what you had before. For the root, did you download the latest version? I can compile from scratch in case the modification was not implemented. I am just puzzled since I had 0 problems on my Hammerhead build (and old Mako 4.2.2).

No, in terms of recovery, when I flashed the rom it also flashed stock recovery. So, it got rid of CWM and put me on stock recovery. And yes, I downloaded the latest rom and still had root issues.

Hi, I do not know how to help as I never had recovery problems on my ROMs. I also re-compiled and flashed on my Hammerhead and recovery remained TWRP...hope other users can report something. I also pm'ed you to get more information. I recommend you flash Googles 4.4.2 factory image and then TWRP and my ROM (or any other ROM). Then the baseline should be ok. Head up, it can not be a big issue...

I have had no issues with my recovery being wiped. I am using milti-rom though if that makes a difference.
Great rom by the way. I love the smoothness.
It just feels slightly smoother than other roms when scrolling in google+ and the xda app, and I havent switched to art yet.
Hey sir I've been trying several Roms all of them fast but this one has a slight advantage, I am liking it very much, will you add any more features that won't sacrifice the speed, is cm theming possible on aosp?

Oh I failed to mention there is one issue that I'm having, my GPS won't locate locations, so navigation is not working, but has always worked on other Roms, anyone else experiencing this? Is it possible to include LTE to permanently stay and is it possible to change the 4g icon to LTE

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. First of all, does the embedded superuser work?
I will look into the location problem......
Update: Checked location on my Hammerhead and works. Since we use the same source tree, I suppose should work on Mako too. If really not, I need to change the vendor files.
I think it may not be working because I can't use root access on file manager, as far as GPS, it worked when I was outside so it may not be an issue but it normally works when I'm inside as well

[APP][ROOT][7.1.1]QuickSettings Flashlight fix for all nougat roms

What is this ?
I've been experimenting with flashlight and I have been able to make this flashlight app which could be used as a flashlight tile replacement in quicksettings and also as a standalone torch app, this should be very helpful for nougat users since we have a very buggy default flashlight tile.
How does this work ?
First my friend Shayan gave me the idea that we should toggle flash light from flashlight led brightness nodes, then I decided to try implementing in the native quicksettings flashlight toggle, first I started by writing a small torch app for this then hichaam helped and converted it into a tile service, it took few hours but I successfully managed to make it working without any visible defects or bugs.
Does this have any limitation or glitch ?
Only concern is that you must provide root access to the flashlight and then your flashlight will work just like any marshmallow rom, just edit your notification panel quicksettings and you will see a new flashlight tile is available, just remove your old flashlight tile and add this new one.
How to use this ?
Just download the app from play store, open it and provide root access, add the tile in your quicksettings and enjoy !

Does this have any limitation or glitch ?
Only concern is that you must provide root access to the flashlight and then your flashlight will work just like any marshmallow rom, patches will need updates whenever there are any changes in your rom's Systemui, so if you flash roms everyday then this might not be a comfortable solution for you.
How to use this ?
Just download the patch specific to your rom and rom build date and flash it in recovery, toggling flashlight first time will ask you to grant root permission, do that and you are good to go, quicksettings flashlight is fixed now.

[ROM][7.1.2_r36][Customized LineageOS builds][13-02]

I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead sdcards, explosions, nuclear wars, alarm applications getting failed or any kind of damage to your device, please read the first two posts carefully before deciding to flash this rom, any questions which are already answered in the first and second posts will be ignored.
What is this ?
This is my custom LineageOS based rom which I initially made just for personal use, some users requested me to share it, so I did that. This is a minimal rom with only those features that I use and I really don't like to add too much. If you have some requests then sure, post them but don't keep high expectations that it will be added, I am always reading your posts but will add only those features which I like or which seem very necessary. There are no useless optimisations here, these builds are compiled with stock toolchains.
Does it get updates ?
Usually I update this once in a week, sometimes I could update it in 4 days and sometimes in 8 days, there is no fixed update period but since this is my daily driver and I don't like to use outdated stuff, so this rom will be updated whenever necessary. There is no inbuilt updater app, If you use it, you have to download full builds from here only.
Short feature list -
Full oms support, install substratum from play store and use themes
Network meter in statusbar is available with hide arrows option
Options to customize quicksetting tiles rows and columns
Volte icon is available, can be toggled if you don't like it
Wakelock blocker is available in customization menu
Option to turn on/off fingerprint authentication vibration
Option to allow unlock at first boot with fingerprint
Killed some lockscreen animations, makes unlocking faster
Easy toggles for wifi, bluetooth, data are available
Built with inbuilt los root, removed the # icon permanently
Option to add screenrecord button in power menu
Option to disable screenshot shutter sound
Default gallery is old los gallery because I don't like new one
Cpu info overlay is available in development settings
Killed lots of logging and failed to acquire lock spam on touch
Kernel used is radon latest, always with balanced setting
Many new qs tiles like reboot, screenshot, hw keys toggle, sound
Some other info -
This rom is rooted by default, to unroot, just download official los unroot addon and flash it.
You cannot flash official los over it, verification will fail and it will not flash, better go for clean flash.
Both kenzo and kate users should use firmware from official los thread post #2.
Kernel Info -
This rom uses latest stable version of radon with following settings - balanced performance, quick charge off, selinux enforcing, new thermal engine, warm enhanced colors.
You can easily change these settings without rebooting with my Radon kernel control app or you can just re-flash radon kernel to change these settings in installer itself.

Installed - good ROM, very light.
Most needed things are there.
What I (personally) am missing is - the possibility to have more columns in QT menu - but it's minor thing.
I am testing the battery stats, etc.
Any kernel suggestion from developer?
---
It is now available 11.2 version - when installed 11.1
Just install the 11.1 version go to settings/about phone/system updates and when fail to download OTA the link will be presented in the bottom of the screen.
Version 11.2 secures Blue Borne issue.

Tried the ROM, it's really stable and better than all ROMs I have tried for Mi 9, even Battery is performing like stock firmware, Good Work
No bug until now
I'm trying the new construction and it looks great; Is it possible to have the torch on the power button?

9.8.1 is recommended!
Is there a way to get Pixel style navbar icons instead of Xiaomi's?
Thanks for the development. I am using it since 1 day and I am quite satisfied. Everything works fine (including dt2w) and the ROM seems stable so far. Battery idle drain is around 1 to 1.5 % which is okay, but I will check during the next days to get a final conclusion. Again, thanks.
Do the screen refresh overclocking mods work on this?
Do you have more information about the OP gestures? Trying to get this to work.
I spent some time to flash COSP BUT i still rolled back PE+ with Los kernel base. Some reasons here:
1.Security is outdated.(It' still in Sep-2019)
2.Phone and message app are outdated as well and cannot be changed into black theme.
3.Cannot install Dolby sound mod.

Yes, battery is good. I was on 0,72% overnight.
@RuinWMD666 Thanks a lot for building this rom. Its clean, fast, easy to use. The clock with notifications in it is very nice, did not know that it existed.
Two minor things:
- Android Auto will cause trouble. Disable hardware overlay in developer options fixes this. This is a problem on every AOSP based ROM.
- Charging in my car is very, very slow. This is also a problem with all AOSP roms. On MIUI charging is faster. So, when i'm in my car it seems that voltage is turning down by AOSP rom.
Is there a fix for charging?
