Hello at all, from 2 Months in every ROM (Oreo, Pie ecc) flash I have this alarm in better battery stats:
WiFiConnectivityManager Schedule Periodic Scan Timer.
I have Redmi 4 Prime, I have already tried to flash ROM without gapps/application, flash without magisk and other things (a lot).
Only in official MIUI there isn't this problem.
Anyone can help me?

Assuming you're mainly concerned that this is happening while connected to your home network. Did you already try to assign a static or reserved IP address in your home network router for your Android device, and in turn to switch from DHCP to static IP on your Android device?

For do this I need to download official MIUI (obv) and extract boot.img, right?

Tried to do it with boot.img flashed in boot partition but blocked at MI logo...

Could be your DNS settings are screwed up and over writing the router's settings. Download set DNS and uninstall it from within the app. This will reset your DNS to the factory default settings.

on JB, but it has a solution on ICS so i went back to J
ICS and it works perfectly. I dont know wich is better :/ but i miss jb camara tough

The changes in my link reverts the driver settings in JB back to same as ICS.
Even though the driver itself might be different in JB, but following the instructions will set the settings identical to the ICS settings. I do not experience disconnections or problems to connect to certain access points anymore. Let me know what happens after you tried it.
Also, the instructions will work only if you have rooted your phone. Keep in mind to mount the system folder as Read/Write

I just received my Mi 8 yesterday and I am getting serious issue with GPS, it's not connecting at all even though I accepted all permissions with several apps!
It's set on high accuracy but won't find my location through GPS (always connecting/searching for the GPS).
Have you guys encountered this issue and found solutions ?
I can retrieve my position with network but not GPS, with Waze for example.

i have miui 10 china developer too, but try this
select gps device only
if you can, locate a-gps settings in the rom, ( in settings, search settings, write a-gps),and select:
all network, msb, server adress supl.google,com, server port 7275 , hot
push more at the botton and save.
reboot your phone
if you cannot locate agps settings,
install gps test apk from play store
open the app and select three point, agps, clear and update
on settings, select datum and select the best option for your country, save and restart the app

I have been reading that some have solved the problem by installing gps reset app from the play store.

I have the same 9.5.11.0 and my GPS is absolutely fine, i would probably look at returning the unit.
Did you ever manage to fix this? I have the same problem unfortunately.

I'm honestly not that up to date with Xiaomi devices, but when i checked it shows MiUI 9.5.11.0 (OEACNFA) Stable....not sure if thats chinese or not.

hello my friend. Could you please provide me with this patch?
I have the same problem with the same Rom. I managed to get GPS signals by rebooting the device every time I really need to use GPS and it works. Problem is that after you reboot it hangs, so then
you have to keep on pressing the power button and it will reboot and Gps will work. Not exactly a permanent solution though.

I have the exact same problem. So I think that is a problem with the Rom and not the phone. We have to wait and see with the new update

Hi Mi9 users
I've tried Derpfest ROM for cepheus and it's running since 2 days really good.
I've flashed dirty (only deleting cache dalvik system) over extendedui 1 with directly restart recovery and installed magisk 20.4
Very good settings in derpquest app. Doze activities can be adjusted, torch on pressing power button while screen off.......
Apps which are not using full screen can adjusted skaled to full screen!
SOT seems to be good and would be more then 6 hours with some adjustments.

I think not
Why is it important for you?
For me it's useless if all is running smoothly with a good standby and good SOT. Over night around 1% battery consumption.

I never used that before 1 month ago in another rom. After that I realized that important for me to block nlpCollector wakelock that improve standby time in my usage.
In my experience by disabling google location accuracy service can much reduce nlpCollector, but some apps force me to activate location service. So it rather important for me.

Best is to make a clean flash with same procedure as extended ui. It should be ok if you flashing xiaomi.eu and then dirty flash derpfest

Which ROM you're coming from?
Try to delete all fingerprints and all security options like pin..
Restart twrp delete cache dalvik reboot and try to setup again.

Hi, I was using pixel experience long back and then switched miui for the same reason- the lockscreen, if is set a pattern, pin or password stucks for almost 10 second before unlocking the phone. Now yesterday I flashed Evolution X, again the same issue. Even the lock settings page takes a lot of time to set up a lock type. Wonder if anyone has faced the same and has been able to resolve. Otherwise the rom is perfect. My phone is decrypted and magisk 20.4 installed.
pls help if anyone has any idea.....

That's probably because of the vendor. It happens so if you're on EEA or Global. Try using Indian or China

Thanks for your reply, All this time I thought I had stable veizon. The only other bug I have is the dialer crashing when I add a new contact.

You can downgrade provided you unlock the bootloader.
EDIT:
I gave you bad information.
You are using a stable Xiaomi Eu rom based on the stock one posted above so obviously the bootloader is unlocked.

Hi Robert235,
I had the same problem with Xiaomi.eu 13.013.
In my opinion I had this issue after I tried super wallpaper.
This turns also off the AOD.
But I not recognized this, because AOD still works.
After I turn on AOD, also with super WP, the issue was gone with my rear display.
Maybe also on your device...

Rear screen is buggy since i use this device, you are lucky it turns off ;-) Here it never turns off after time, and never got notifications...... I'm using latest weekly, but from A12 weeklys till now rearscreen is nearly useless for me.....i remember it works with chinese rom that came with device.
