Gcam Help!!. - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Good Afternoon, Group. Inquiry!!
I Have installed the Havocos 2.4 and with it Magisk, I install the Gcam, probe with the Arnova Advanced but this gives me problems in each photo you take is stuck in applying improvement of HDR +.
Question: What Gcam recommend for this Room and with which config?
EDIT 1: In the option of Arnova load the configurations that the same developer put for the Xiaomi MiA2 and still gives problem.

HDR+ works for me. It sometimes says processing if I open photo immediately after taking it but that lasts for two seconds tops. I'm on latest havoc with stock kernel.
Try deleting cache and app data.

Camera error
Can't connect to camera
Hey come on! Some one please help with this! I just want to know is it hardware fault or due to rom.
Arent you using semaphore x.x.xS version which is dedicated for hugemem config eg. slimroms?
Just normal, not s version
Two option
1. Try clearing gallery app data from settings->app
2. If the above dont work then go to recovery wipe cache wipe dalvik and fix permissions.
It will work...
The problem could be for many reasons - hw or sw.
What change did you make before it stopped working?
If above recommendations don't work:
1) Turn off your phone, take the battery out, and wait for a few seconds, then put it back in and turn it back on -- May fix simple hw glitches
2) Try another camera app, such as fxcamera, camera 360, etc -- To see if its the default camera app
3) Do you have other apps that use the camera? Like mirror or flashlight apps or something? It might be interfearing. Actually it could be other apps interfearing too. I'd make a back-up and start uninstalling suspicious apps.
4) Go back to stock rom, and see if camera works. If yes, then root and re-install custom rom. If no, then take to a repair store? Can't think of anything else.
Good luck!
Thanks for your help guys! Now got it working.
Glad its working bro!
Just curious, what was the issue and how did you fix it?
I don't know what was the issue but i rebooted my phone because it was a bit laggy
and i noticed that the camera works.

Problems using Google Camera HDR with Camera2API

Hello, I've been trying to get Gcam working and not getting the results I want. I used a that enabled Camera2api and came with a Version of GCam modded by @Arnova8G2.
I can't make HDR+ work, I tried installing newer versions via apks, version 3.4 had all the crashes the original had when trying to enable HDR+ in all setting I saw mentioned and tried.
V3.8b can't be installed, it says the file seems to be corrupt. The Gcam app can't be uninstalled because the zip I flashed made it a system app. What should I do?

You can use a root unistaller. I used this before https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp&hl=es_419
Gcam worked fine for me on miui, the only problem with the latest versions of miui is that stock camera stop working when you enable camera2api.
Check if this version with manual focus work well for you. This version it's the best in oreo, since it can take photos in portrait mode with front camera, but I'm not sure if this can be used also in miui.

GCam port to MIUI is always bugged and even if it works, once you get an OTA there is very high chance for it to break again. Why not install a Custom ROM and experience the true power of your device.

I don't really feel comfortable flashing a ROM without much support behind it and that's not gonna happen until Xiaomi gets its **** together and release the sources. Eventually I guess I'll get some more free time and I'll start to try every ROM under the sun.

I've found a working GCAM MOD for Xiaomi Redmi 5 (Rosy).
REQUIREMENTS:
Redmi 5 (Rosy) with
Bootloader unlocked,
custom recovery TWRP installed and
rooted.
Build prop editor app to edit build.prop file. (Search on play store)
PROCESS
Open build prop editor app and search for the code below.
Press Edit button and add the code line at the end in build.prop file if it is not already there, if the code is already present make sure it's value is "1" (1 stands for enabled, 0 for disabled)
Save the file and restart device.
Code:
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
Download and Install GCAM MOD.
GDRIVE LINK
GCAM 6 (New Version)
Older Version
Have fun.
WHAT WORKS:
Night Sight (New Version)
HDR+ mode
Portrait mode
Lens blur
ISSUES:
120FPS slow mo video (Not Working, app crashes every time)
Front led flash not working but screen flash is working.
Stock/default camera may not work after modifying build.prop file. (Mine stopped working)
NOTE:
I've not developed or ported this mod, I just found it on the web and tested it on redmi 5 (Rosy).
It may also work on Redmi note 5/redmi 5 plus, as the camera censor is the same. Try it on your own risk.
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device or loss of data if you try this MOD.
If the post helped you don't forget to say thanks.:good:
Slow motion doesn't work
i can't find that prop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
Thanks buddy. Works like a charm for portrait and HDR+
Doesn't work anymore on miui 10 developer Rom please fix it
Can you post camera samples?
Is it posible to disable google photos sync? when i try to open a taken picture it goes to google photos and not the gallery. thanks
Please update the link. I remember get apk from this link and work well for the back camera. Front camera crashed. It was noted that for Redmi 4X

Do you have any update?
Or just install it anyway?

If you are on official MIUI then you have to edit the build prop file, but if you are on a custom ROM then you don't need to. Just install as a normal app and it will work.
This app works well on Miui 10 EU, but crash in Slow motion mode on Pixel Experience, similar to Gcam ver 6 slow motion mode

Le2 X522 5.8.021S - "Scale view" locked in "Zoom" mode

After unlocking the bootloader, installing TWRP and installing SU I can`t change "Scale view" to "Standard" mode?
I`m currently on stock ROM.
Any working solutions how to fix this problem?
This happened to me too however I simply went to settings selected normal view and instantly again switched to zoom view and closed settings.
Then I switched off my phone and after 5 minutes turned it on back and it went to normal view however in settings it still shows that it is on zoom mode.
Note: I am on build 19s
This might be a pure luck or some bug that caused it or may be some security tweeks by leeco.

Hi Ezio_003, thanks for your reply!
I tried your method several times, but unfortunately did not have any luck.
When you closed the settings, did you use the back button or closed it some other way?

I simply pressed back button and then closed from launcher.
Another solution you may try is to reinstall EUI
But then twrp might go away
I tired this way and also to switch off the phone in the scale view menu.
Yes, It seems I will have to try with another ROM
I like the stock ROM but I needed root to remove some preinstalled apps.
At first I did not even notice the screen was in the zoom mode until I saw that there was a little space on the home screen.
Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

How to?
Can someone share the modified Xiaomi.eu-APK, so I can test it via ADB Sideload?
I asked xiaomi support and this is their response
We at Xiaomi value your trust and we apologize for the inconvenience. Rest assured that we'll assist you on this.
To ensure our users have smooth system operation and the best using experience on MIUI12, this feature/function is not supported due to SoC (System-on-a-Chip) and RAM.
However, we will record the case and forward it to our concerned authorities. Also, I would request you to submit your demand through Feedback & Suggestion (Settings >> Feedback & Suggestion), and wait for the future update.
