The Zenfone 5Z (ZS620KL) is officially in the Android Q Beta program from now! This means Android Q Beta 3 is now available for the device.
This update doesn't have ZenUI! This is pure Android Q Beta! When final version will be released later, it will include ZenUI 6 on Android Q!

SD cards with exFAT format are not supported.
There is no beep when the volume up or volume down buttons are pressed. The beep still works with other functions.

Step 1: Please ensure battery level is higher than 20%. Hold down the Power and Volume Up buttons until the device reboots. Upon reboot, you’ll see Fastboot Mode appear on the fourth line on the screen. Then connect your ZenFone 5Z to your PC via a USB cable.
Step 2: Decompress the Android Q’s image file. Double click on “update_image.bat,” and it will start the flash image command. Do not unplug the USB cable and ensure a stable connection between your ZenFone 5Z and PC during the flashing process.
Step 3: When the flash finishes, a ‘Download Complete’ message will appear on the terminal. Hit the Enter key on the keyboard to restart your ZenFone 5Z. If a ‘Update image failed’ message appears on the terminal, the flash was unsuccessful. In this case, please try again or report the issue.

So I flashed the much hyped Android Q Beta 3 on my AZF5Z and here are my findings:
1. VoLTE doesn't work (a big bummer for me).
2. UI inconsistency, recents panel is unorganised and apps screen aren't visible (refer the screenshot for details).
3. Rest everything is working pretty normal.
4. No gestures (standard 3 button navigation only, no options to change it).
All the above mentioned problems are reported to the Beta big tracker.
Could someone upload the firmware on a different file sharing site. I can't download the file from drive. It shows an error saying "try after 24 hours"

Haven't tried it. But theoretically you can root it becayse Magisk 19.1 natively supports Android Q.

It will make things a bit accelerated. But last year Mi Mix3, Vivo X21 were part of Pie Beta, but OEMs rolled out updates on their own timeline only.
Let's just keep our fingers crossed.

Just get props config module for magisk and change your device fingerprint to Pixel 3 on android 9.
Might need pix3lify module as well.
This might break fingerprint reader. Not sure (I change a lot).

1-Redesigned UI for launcher settings
We’ve simplified the Settings options and added another gesture to get to them quickly, a pinch motion from the homepage of your launcher.
2-Notification denoising
This is to allow priority levels to be assigned to peek notifications and will let you grant only the most important apps and their notifications the ability to interrupt you. This feature can be found under Settings>Device>Notifications
3-Gaming Do Not Disturb mode
This allows you to lock the capacitive and home buttons while gaming or in other apps where it’s easy to hit those buttons buttons unintentionally. This feature can be found in Settings>Advanced>Gaming Mode
4-Automatic Night mode
You are now able to set Night Mode to activate and deactivate at a certain time or according to a specific cycle of day and night. This can be found under settings>Display>Night Mode
5-Secure Box
This is for all files (including pictures and video) that should not be easily accessible to other people. It can be set up with its own pin, and once items are moved (by long pressing and selecting “set as secure” in the settings option) they can only be viewed in the secure box portion of the file manager. This can be found under Apps>File Manager>Secure Box
6-Quick Pay (India primarily)
This will allow users to set up a QR-based quick pay feature that can be quickly accessed while the screen is either on or off with a long press of the home button. This will only activate right now if one of the following apps is installed: Paytm, Wechat, or Alipay. This can be found in Settings>Security & Fingerprint>Quick Pay

Probably because it's available only in India, due to legal restrictions in other countries.
There's now no difference between oos and h2os. Just little pros of h2os still stands, such as in call sound recorder. But I consider if oos ob 13 has such a great battery life like h2os?

Magisk v11.1 works fine. Running it now
Flashed full rom with twrp 3.0.4-1 followed by super su.
Now I have dm verity msg again during boot. Although root is working properly.

Tip for downloading (from original link served via amazons cache: http://oxygenos.oneplus.net.s3.amaz...OTA_035_all_1710131629_83503ca929ca4b82.zip): Try restarting the download a couple of times to see if download speed increases. For me it went from 5 hours to 10 minutes on the third try...

I'm on Lineage and Omni Oreo builds since weeks and I guess they are more stable than this first Oreo OB
I'm getting an error 7 while using TWRP and when trying to sideload using stock recovery my command prompt says * cannot read '.\OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_035_all_1710131629_83503ca929ca4b82.zip' * what am I doing wrong?

- The first bug i noticed was about the notification sometimes the notification doesnt display correctly
- The second bug i noticed was about the battery drain is displayed incorrectly..for example i played pubg for and hour and half and the battery drop was shown only 5% XD..but in actual i charged my phone upto 96% and after almost 1 and half hour of pubg the battery drop was about 16 %.. check the pics..
-Now we can play pubg only on low and medium settings
-Not getting airtel volte
- The charging speeds are little lower with the stock charger..
now some of the best things about the pie update
-It,s snappy as hell..super smooth
- Getting more fps in pung using gfx tool and the server reconnect issue is also solved
- idle drain was 0% as my kept my phone at 76 % at night and in the morning it was 76% only :heart_eyes::heart_eyes: was more see in the pics attached
-transitions are much smoother as compared to oreo
-Speakers sound better

Before installing rom. Install moro kernel v5.2 or below or maybe tgp kernel.
Bec the rom doesn't install any kernel. So the already install kernel is not supported by the rom so it reboots again and again.
You can install it after the rom but then you have to manually flash the magisk v18

It has the exact same features that other roms have, even less, normally developers give some personality to their roms, e.g close to stock, performance, custom UI....

His previous rom was called lite. So afaik this rom is also lite. And i really like it and using it

I've been trying to locate Magisk 18.2 and have been unsuccessful!
Does anyone have a copy or a link?
Usually when he chooses to use older firmware, it's for a reason.
I debloated this ROM with an Aroma Installer/Titanium Backup and this thing is not only blistering fast but I've been able to squeak out 8 hours of SOT. However, I can't get a couple Magisk modules to install so I need to reinstall it to get this ROM working perfectly!

What I meant was- Delta update. Smaller zip file. Anyways nevermind downloaded the complete rom.
Smaller over the air update will be released, once asus starts to deliver this update to device.

FOTA Update will never be released for this version, as it is a developer image.
This version is only for WW SKU device that with Android 9 OS WW-16.2017.1910.059 & WW-16.2017.1912.060 version.
What's this? Most of the users are on 063 update, they won't downgrade now!

I was on .063 version and installed it.. Everything works as was described by asus.. I didn't encounter any problem right now besides low screen brightness, but all in the desceiption was implemented.. who now is fool?

Asus recommends the device with Android 9 OS WW-16.2017.1910.059 & WW-16.2017.1912.060 version, because the Developer Image has been tested for these devices. Not surprisingly, no problem, the original ROM is completely erased. Fools are people who consider the update to be STABLE.

Like i said, all of the things that asus listed as fixes worked for me no problems. Yeah its beta, and beta's aren't the most stable ones but they fixed if not all the previous problems that people complained about. There might be some more to fix to make it more stable and declare it "stable versikn". And mind you, not are "stable" roms are deemed stable. You know that. Everyone has his complaints.

Let ASUS decide what's "Beta" and what's "Stable" and I believe it's just too early to say things about the build.

Hahaha. Got it. Maybe asus realized they forgot to change the target SKU's anyway, where it was the target on their very first Android 10 build. The latest beta 2 was for .063 and .407 after all.

Working as stable doesn't mean it's a stable version update, lmao man developer builds are always beta or even alpha depending on how many bug fixes were made and in which channel they were released. But as you wish you can call cake as pie what do I care.

Can you elaborate that brightness slider bug?
I am following on the zenfone channel somewhere where i am seeing posts from chat with ASUS representative where ASUS constantly claims this release as Stable.
Looking at the issues I guess THEY are the ones who are not yet stable

Brightness slider bug is that approx. 0% to 60% brightness is almost same. After approx. 60% brightness increases like it has to.
Means brightness of the screen does not increase or decrease normally according to their %
