Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it!
YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

First of all, thank you koron and 1ndwurm for this beautiful ROM.I hope this ROM will stay updated. It is amazing, but I already discovered few problems on sgp611.
1. There is no sound in games (youtube works fine)
2. Fells a little bit slower, than oreo. Already disabled all animations but I didn't helped a lot.
Do you need dmesg or logcat for these problems?

I noticed first problem. This is sound mixer (Ultra Low Latency) problem. I will check this weekend.
(Probably kernel miss merge)
Second problem is... :crying:

Audio fixed at 20190511 version . Could you try new version?

Thank you for fast fix. In this new version, sound is working fine in games but latency is very big.
To make this tab faster I also tried to change governors, hotplugs and i/o schedulers but neither of them made a lot of difference.

It says: No MD5 file found. Whats the problem there?

Do you have pixel-style gesture navigation enabled?
On my tablet there is significant difference in the smootheness between button navigation and gestures. With buttons enabled the tablet is on par, if not a bit smoother than Koron's AICP rom. Gesture navigation - constant lagging.

Tried the rom yesterday, haven't tested everything, looks clean overall, but feels a bit laggish... I'm not sure we can do anything for this, this is an old tab now.

Same here ...

TWRP 3.3.0-0
New TWRP is ready. Now our TWRP can pie decrypt.
Ver. 3.3.0-0 is built with newer kernel.
It's not compatible with old oreo ROM. FAT (VFAT/exFAT) driver is changed to SDFAT.
If you use this new TWRP with oreo ROM, tablet will crash because of FAT driver kernel panic.
Please be careful.
Download link is HERE.

Z3 series in Pie (and Oreo), Wi-Fi region code is probablity firmware related.
And unfortunately firmware is proprietary and not maintained for now...

Hello!
In trying to install this firmware i've failed.
Device: SGP621
I tryied it with locked and unlocked bootloader - it's all the same.
After flashing kernel and TWRP via fastboot device doesn't start and I don't know how to boot into new recovery.
Perhaps something wrong with the kernel? Or what?

You should get into recovery if you first power off the device, and then hold power and vol down (or maybe up?) until you see the Sony logo, release power button and hold vol button until you see the twrp logo.

I know that, but when I turning device on, Sony logo doesn't appear. When I push power button it became one short vibro and nothing happening.
If I trying to install other custom, it works, but here it doesn't.

Sounds like a kernel issue? Haven't tried this rom, so I don't know how it behaves. Try flash another compatible kernel and see if that resolves the issue.

Q&A - FAQ
Q : Is root access included into AOSP ?
A : No but you can now root with my Boot Bridge and a superuser tool.
Q : Is the ROM suited for daily usage ?
A : Yes completely. OpenGApps recommended.
Q : I see errors during the installation, is it normal ?
A : If it is E:unknown command [log] , ignore it for now
Q : Where can I change the Quick Tiles and Status Bar ?
A : Long press the Settings icon in the notifications drawer.
> You will have access to the SystemUI Tuner from Marshmallow.
Q : The AOSP Keyboard does not support swipe gestures ?
A : Unfortunately the sources for swipe gestures are not available
and Google still requires their prebuilt library to be there for AOSP Keyboard.
Download the following libjni_latinimegoogle.so API 23 from OpenGApps

OP => Q&A
20161112: New release supporting the original RIL telephony stack, hence USSD and stable SIM.
A new release will be coming in the next hours, adding fixes for the Google SetupWizard
on clean installation. Therefore no more permanent crashes from the wizard on boot
and the ability to fully use the Google SetupWizard to configure the phone & have provision.
(access to the navigation keys, the QuickSettings & others features that are locked without it)
The reason behind these issues were that the Google SetupWizard requires a lot of memory
to compile with ART, and 1024MB RAM devices configurations did not expect such a heavy usage.
The fix is here for those interested: https://github.com/AdrianDC/aosp_development_sony8960/commits/frameworks_native
It also includes a small UI change that was requested quite a lot,
I'll leave you judge of that, see the screenshot...
Also includes some improvements I did since the last build for CM 14.1.

No need to say you're waiting a release or an update,
especially when it's mentioned it'll be in the coming hours.

It is suitable for secondary rom?
Why not ?
In fact I use all my ROMs as secondary on MicroSD.
Finished a new project to root AOSP 7.1 on Sony 8960.
Rooting instructions added to the main post.
A new build will also come today.

If I want to switch from CM14.1 to AOSP 7.1.0, how about the data migration? Do I have to revert it, or does this also work on AOSP 7.1.0?
Thanks in advance!

Won't work properly because both have different databases, especially for the telephony
where CyanogenMod bumps the database version to add the support of legacy & irregular telephony elements.
Does this rom support f2fs?

About the release
My Android 8.0 bring-up started in April with my AOSP Master project.
Master being the mainline public Android development, it helped getting
most of the hardware requirements for the next Android release prepared
and ready for the evolution along the weeks. Though 8.0.0 introduced
more hardware changes and improvements, it was ready for about 75% of the needs.
Full details about the initial boot are explained here : #post73504552

About the initial public release - 01/09/2017
I use it as daily since July on Huashan (SP) and Mint (T)
For now, Camera is removed on purpose as I'm working on it. The initialization fails in the middle
Bluetooth worked up to July, and since then the list is empty due to timeouts. Being looked at
Binding with already paired Bluetooth devices like car radio should work but rare user-unfriendly conditions for now
Installs and works properly with MultiROM current release
wow great rom keep up the great work sir

Good job
Nice! big thanks for the development still continue for this O-ld device
great work bro:good:
@AdrianDC
Awesome work as always :good: You have to be deserved of promoted as a "Senior Recognized Developer"
As the XT device is my nieces one and she needs it, I unfortunately can't test it... But I will upgrade, as soon as your work becomes official
This Oreo here really gives me reason to assume @AdrianDC builds faster than his shadow. :good:
How does he do that?
God bless you sir.
Nys work bro.. Working good. But when I reboot my Xperia V, after the booting completes it is showing "Process system is not responding". I just force closed it. But everything is working fyn. When will u release new update with camera support? Thank you for the effort.

Really!?!? Why are you doing this?!? You are the greatest tolerant developer! You can do it for money like others. But you doing it free! Respect! Greatest!
Nice work!
With your help my -at last 4 jears old- smartphone is still "alive"... Only the Battery is a bit out of date
Continue Developing!
Details: I redesigned the DeviceSettings UI
The access is no longer attached to Oreo's new Settings layout System, but instead in Display where it should be
Summaries were added and icons removed to match the surrounding options
The original Ambient Display switch is manually hidden for the moment, will see if it's kept that way or not
The design follows the main Settings design, ActionBar colors match the proper theme, back arrow enabled
Ambient Display now toggled in a switch bar similar to WiFi
Useless first section title removed

One question about the camcorder: What's the actual status of the problem, do you think it is fixable?
Can xperia vc use the LineageOS 15.1 of xperia v?
Can xperia vc use the LineageOS 15.1 of xperia v? please.

hi
I've been installing a version with error 7, but I'm using a multi-rom
I'm experiencing app freezes with the latest build (it's also the first one I use, I was previously using LineageOS 14.1). It seems that sometimes, when a picture has to be loaded and shown, the app freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. I get this problema in apps like Twitter or Feedly, but it's never happened to me with Chrome.
@AdrianDC

These features are disabled in Android Go. To have them back you need to flash Low-RAM Property Patcher for Android in TWRP, but remeber that you will lose all the Android Go optimizations. More features or more speed, the choice is yours. The good news is that you can switch between the two versions at any time simply by flashing the low ram property patcher.

Great work as usual @AdrianDC . Got featured on XDA portal. Even though I've not had this device for a couple of years now, I'm still subscribed to this device forum just because of the work you put into it when I had it. :good:
Totally wasn't expecting this to happen !
Definitely need to check it out.
I'm still using my XSP as a daily phone
Woow this great!!
OMG ...
Thank you AdrianDC for keeping this device alive in 2020
This phone is still my daily driver
I remember asking you if you'd ever stop, to which you replied "never".
Long live the king.
A new release 19/08/2020 is available :
Enforced SEPolicies security with all rules refactored and cleaned up (if anything looks "blocked", please report with ADB logs)
Huashan should be fine, everything looks to be working fine right now with the enforced security.
Please PM me ADB logs if you see anything not working / behaving as it should and explain what you did.
Hi AdrianDC,
first of all a BIG THANK YOU for putting so much effort in bringing LOS 17.1 to our good old huashan. I'm still running several devices and really appreciate to have LOS 17.1 on them. now..
Overall, it looks / runs really really good - so: :good: THUMBS UP :good:
One little thing I noticed: The upper left "back arrow" of the "Lights effects" settings menu does not work (which did on LOS 16.0) ... only standard android back button functionality does. I'll try to grab some logs, but maybe you can reproduce it yourself..
But again: Thank you for all the work you put into LOS 17.1 for huashan

You're correct, it broke due to the refactoring of our DeviceSettings against Android 10 changes.
The back feature was not handled by the new activity.
Please try this patch on top of the latest release and let me know if it's fine for you too.

Good news.
This also made me notice Huashan was missing it's LineageOS High Touch Sensitivity option in displays,
(my DeviceSettings specific Glove setting activity was meant only for AOSP support, the service is common though),
this is now reimplemented for LineageOS and will be there in the next release.
A new release 23/08/2020 is available, on my side, the performance and normal usage have improved a lot :
Migration to userspace Low Memory Killer daemon (LMKD) instead of the old kernel LMK
Massive kernel updates against upstream, especially LZ4 and ZRAM (257 commits)
Additional SEPolicies updates
After some testing, i must say: this release really kicks ass! I'm really amazed, how fast my devices now performs...Even the one, which suffers the "write amplification effect", is running much better now. Adrian, you are sooo awesome! I'm deeply impressed by the effort, you put into the development for this device! I cannot say that often enough!!!
Wow, I did not expect to find a 17.1 build for a device that old.
Good job!
As I'm using my Xperia SP basically 99% just as a backup for my 2FAs and stock-ROM does not support Google Authenticator 5.10 which introduced the "Transfer codes"-function, I'm very much looking forward to update.
But as I run into troubles with the camera-support of 17.1 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (bad resolution, couldn't read the big QR-Code) I want to shoot up a question before doing so:
Is the camera-support good enough to read complex/big QR-Codes?
Thanks in advance for any report on one's experiences!

- it seems that the screen on/off animation is missing. There was a post in earlier lineageOS thread with details how to enable it, but i cant fing it
A major thing may be connected to phone deep sleep - i've had a situation after enabling the alarm, that it would ring only after lighting the screen up with power button. I will investigate this further as it does not happen every time.
Thanks again for the updates !

Thanks for the report, FM Radio is now resolved with an incremental patch release for the 23/08/2020 release.
Patch regarding SEPolicies for FM Radio support and sensors detection
Regarding the screen on / off animations, this is due to the Android Go (Low RAM) configurations,
if you want to restore the related features with a bit of performance losses, look at my "Low-RAM Property Patcher" linked in the OP.

Probably not anytime soon. I don't really see any advantage from making it official.

Dirty flash from previous build is fine if using the vanilla build, if you want to switch to the gapps build then a clean flash is required
Clean flash guide:
- Install the latest custom recovery
- Format data
- After formatting data, you may have to reboot again to recovery
- Wipe system & data & cache & dalvik cache
- Install ROM
- Reboot

thx! I had using this rom, feeling so good!
Amazing Rom, work very fast and well.
For now the only thing I found is : is you phone is power off and you charge it you don't see any animation about the battery levels... Only black screen.
The levels of bright is not working well.
To slow in automatic change.
For gaming I tray CALLOFDUTY and work very well.
I love this ROM.
Thank you
Is this rom good as a daily driver?

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into the problem with automatic brightness and the offline charger.
Carl
I found an issue in my daily use...
after switching the dual sim cards data using, the newly using sim's data become very very slow, about 50kB/s
so I have to switch the card's APN setting to reset data's speed
In my evoX rom and officail MIUI using , I never experienced it.
I found some wrong with the app Pinterest.
All ways ask for user name and password.
Then every time that I click to see some image apen the WEB browser.
I tray to download Pinterest from differents sites and is the same issue.
. .......
Other issue is when you write to fast or move your home screen to much.
I'm getting screen LAG and some times just won't work well.
.....
I'm testing games with this Rom
CALL OF DUTY : working perfectly with high settings and MAX fps, I get my phone warm but perfect. Better than MIUI EU BETA....
PUBG : is not working well, to slow with any settings. Is impossible to play like that.
Real Racing 3 : work well, no issues.
Gear.Club : no issue
Sky : work well to.
Genshin Impact : Perfect with MEDIUM Settings.
I'm gonna continue testing.
I use more than 100 apps
Thank you, for this fast ROM.
Will be any Updates in the Future ?
Thanks ª!~
I found issue with FULL screen gestures.
Some times the gesture BACK won't work.
With any app or game.
So any update? Or something?
Thanks
I found issue
When I pull down the status bar, FPS is very low.
This problem has been bothering me all the time
