Note 8 Sm-N950u1 Network Issue - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Hey... I have a Note 8 Sm-n950u1... It was actually a Sprint carrier phone sm-n950u but after unlocking it I changed its Firmware to u1 as i was not interested In BLOATWARE... Iam currently living in Pakistan and Iam facing some network issues with my carrier in my home... my phone most of time shows NO NETWORK CONNECTION or EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY in my home while the signal strength my phone shows is -126dBm 16asu and sometimes it goes to 0asu
i also have a S8plus G955FD which works perfectly at my home with same sim card and carrier... Iam just willing to ask abt its solution that by changing firmware or by making any software changes This problem resolves... please explain briefly THANKS

WIFI Calling T-Mobile USA

Hello I got this wonderful phone, but no WIFI CALLING with T-Mobile in the US !
Things i tried
TMobile Card USA :
Huawei P10 - NO WIFI Calling (gone frome the menu)
[*]Samsung S8- WIFI Calling there and automaticly active
T Mobile Card Germany:
Huawei p10 . WIFI Calling there and automaticly active
So my conclusion, as soon Tmobile see a certain IMEI number it changes the menu. I assume this is not an information on the Sim card like the APN.
How can i change this menu to get WIFI Calling back ?
Or is this something on the SIM Card i could edit ?
worst case, change the IMEI Number, which i tried already to see what happen, but all the tools i found so far, not working on this P10.
Any Help ? Thanks
Very interesting find. I'm currently trying to get wifi calling menu to show up at all. T-Mobile might never support this phone because it's sold by US carriers

network change firmware

So running the latest software it seems no need to flash firmware for carriers when you place an actual carrier sim in the splash screen and everything automatically switches to sim...I have a note 8 and a note 9 one cricket one metro since note 9 has band 71 I wanted to try metro in it and utilize that but ofcourse finding out metro locks service to imei unlike cricket does where any phone unlocked will work..but although I couldn't use my metro on my note 9 it did change splash screen and showed the wifi calling which I cant use wifi calling but i am able to hotspot again so that's the bonus for everyone on cricket needing hotspot again try popping in a tmobile or metro sim it holds even after restarting...correct me if I'm wrong on the firmware automatically switching cause the note 9 is a verizon bought phone and had been showing verizon splash screen....diagnose further when I buy new sim to tie note 9 to metro since they apparently pair sim and imei...

It's kind of new to me but I guess the take away for anyone is I've lost my hotspot capability on cricket when I switched to note 9 from note 8 cause changing the apn didn't work with new software like I did with note 8....and now i have regained that on note 9 which was bought through verizon also I'm able to utilize dialer codes again where I lost that too...so if your on cricket or something like that and lost those abilities then just pop in a metro or tmobile sim and restart phone then put your cricket sim back in and your good to go with hotspot and dialer codes again....I just wish cricket didn't whitelist phones capable of using volte where I could get that on my note 9 cause 3g calling has definitely went downhill with low to no coverage anymore on it...my real question is this everyone is talking about flashing the carrier csc to whatever carrier you going to so you have the best and all their perks just seems with latest updates there's no need for it like my note 9 has band 71 but while on verizon I'm sure they disable that band because it's not needed so it seems when you swap sims and forced to restart because new sim is detected and you put a tmobile sim in it automatically turns correct radio bands on for its network...correct or not because I want tmobile just need to know band 71 will be activated when I put a tmobile sim in this verizon bought note 9 and I'll be able to utilize their full network spectrum...cause metro by tmobile apparently only utilises band 2 and band 12 which cuts my coverage...sorry for the long read

MI 9/ network problems

Hello everyone,
I have Mi 9 M1902F1G 128gb with MIUI global 11.0.4. I am living in France and using Bouyuges telecom, recently when I come to work my phone loses network connection related to simcard. No calls, no 4G, no 3G nothing absolutely. There is a cross sign sometimes on network bar, then sim card activation process starts but no connection. Even I cannot send an sms. This is a new problem. I have been using this phone with same sim card for approximately for a year.
Thanks in advance

Change job
Since you don't tell us what actions you already have taken the most obvious is to pull out the sim card and clean it. If this doesn't help, contact your operator to get a new sim card. Everything you say indicates that your problem is one with the sim card or the operator and has nothing to do with the phone.

Have you tried with VoLTE disabled?
Also, by preferring network type 3G or even 2G, instead of 4G.
Maybe you recently got some some 4G/3G micro-station at work with the band not supported by phone
Edit: You could also try to inspect by Network Cell Info Lite, Net Monster, Net Monitor or similar apps available from Playstore
