Hey, still no EMUI 9.1 but after 2 month here we go with 9.0.0.266 for West-EU HMA-L29.

Wow, it's quite late security update in europe region.. Mine already in may since last month

Got it today (C432 Italy)

Hi there,
you can try to 'force' the installation of 9.0.0.266 via Huawei HiSuite.
After installing HiSuite , start it.
Connect your device via USB cable and finish the connection assistent.
Then go to HiSuite's 'Home' tab, then use the 'Update' button.
I got this update that way.
Good luck!
Regards,
Stephan

BLA-L29 8.0.0.127 (c432) OTA is rolling out

It looks like the B127 OTA is rolling out and it's confirmed by a Mate 10 pro (c432) owner from Italy.
Let's hope that my B126 rebranded with FunkyHuawei will also take this OTA!

Thanks for the confirmation! Can you please post a screenshot of the "About" screen (obscuring the IMEI, serial and other sensitive stuff, of course)?
Sure
127a is also available from Funky. I tried it, however, VoLTE and VoWiFi not working for my provider here in Austria, whereas with 126 they worked fine. The settings are there in menu and turned on, just not working.

I know FunkyHuawei also has the 127a,but they said OTA's will work just fine, so i would like to test that.
But so far, still no sign of this update on my device.
I didn't get it yet either. Let's just be patient and hope that it get's to our phones quickly

Not yet available in the Netherlands
Got 127 today in Switzerland, and VoLTE and WiFi Calling both still work.
Just updated to .127 via FirmwareFinder.
I used this one: BLA-L09 8.0.0.127a(C432),BLA-L29 8.0.0.127a(C432) / FullOTA-MF / update via In-App-Proxy
Hopefully .127 fixes the wifi issues...
The update fixes the freezing issue then watching a YouTube video and receiving a message on FB \o/

You got it through OTA ?
Yes OTA. My phone is not rooted.
Huawei hast a miserable update politic.
No one knows how it works and why some devices are getting updated immediately and others not.
EMUI8 should be rolled out for everyone. Maybe your IMEI is not in their system or your phone is rebranded and Huawei won't update because IMEI and region are not fitting together.
You can try Firmware Finder app by TeamMT to update. It works until newer Oreo versions. You can also check Firmware Access in this app, maybe you can update through it.
Or you try to ask Huaweis support, but it's not very good and professional in most countries.

Which of these should i install in order not to lose my data ?
Thank you
Try OTA first, if this doesn't work FullOTA.
There's always a risk losing your data while updating, even with official methods.
If you want to lower this risk try the latest version called "(Full)OTA-PV". This is the public version.
I never had any issues with updating using Firmware Finders files.

Not global, C636 is an Asian version. There are beta tests in some European countries and sometimes Huawei ceased releasing updates completely (I'm stuck on B376 and it's the newest version for my country, even though P10 Lite got 4 more updates and continues getting them regularly).

you're not stuck. change to another region firmware. what's stopping you
@fatjoez You cannot change the region in EMUI anymore, it's determined by your SIM. It's enough to swap it with the one from abroad and updates will show up immediately. It worked for many people, unfortunately I don't have an access to such SIM.
And it's not a bug, Huawei's consultants admitted that by Huawei's decision B376 is the newest software in my country (which is one of the largest for Huawei in EU).
no I mean what's stopping you to rebrand your phone? or force flash another regions firmware?

Yes, look for 'rebranding' in the guides section. You do need an unlocked bootloader for this.

Hi
I got the same model VTR-L29(C636) on eBay from China. Trying to use it in Delhi, but the phone appears to have extremely poor radios. It connects well in areas where the signal is strong, but in weak areas it just doesn't connect at all.
India primarily uses 4 LTE bands - 3, 40, 41 and 5. Band 5 (850 mhz) comes into play indoors, where the signal is the weakest. It looks as if the P10 is unable to use this band, although the specifications say so.
I am interested in knowing what is the connectivity of the phone like in B'desh, whether you are facing the same issues or not.
Thanks.
Hi
Here in Dhaka we have 3G & 4G connection available based on locations in City area. Most of the time my phone connected with 3G and very rare it is on 4G though it is set on 4G.
I have no problem on connection and the speed.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers.
Finally Android Pie official is rolling out, already in China and soon Europe and rest of the world

Haha, its too soon brother. A month or two still consider okay compare to other brand..
The same here C636 (AUS version) has got update this morning, not the 9.1 but April security patch.
Some source says Huawei starts rolling out 9.1 for international variants from April 26 (huaweicentral). But I would expect it weeks after (i.e., waiting for carrier test, etc.).

Ahh, seem a good news. Probably a month to be safe.
Still nothing :/
Normally Huawei will give the new firmware to carrier for the final test before rolling out the update.
For example, in Australia, you will see the status of the upcoming OTA here: www vodafone com au/support/device/software-updates
Unfortunately, I haven't seen any update for Mate 20 yet. So a month at least, I guess.

Yes and it's saying I'm on the latest version (9.0.0.187)
Well, in this case, I would suggest to contact Huawei via HiCare apps or come down to the service center.
As far as I know, this company push update for device according to its IMEI number, so not all devices will be able to update as soon as the patch available.
Did you buy for that country or import for overseas?

Thanks for the tip! I had to activate HiCare, update the app and after that to search for FW updates from the Hicare. There was a 10.11MB update and after checking again the FW updates from the HiCare app I got the Android 10 upgrade.

Apparently all works well in a quick check: gps, nfc, wifi seems to work better, both 2.4 and 5GHz... A few packages got upgraded. Nothing strange in logcat, except several messages per second from "HwKVConnectionPool" complaining that it could not create cache directory "for some reasons", and some other logspamming activity.

Thanks. I have tried that to, but without any success so far. It is worrying that I have missed at least 4 Android security patches, and Huawei won't respond.
Thanks for your help though
HiSuite may be a solution, but it's also a hassle that shouldn't have to be done. OTA updates by design are intended to make the process almost effortless.
But not having an update since last October is abysmal by anyone's standards.
I'm with three UK and have been running 10.0.0.178 for around a month, Security Patch is 1 December 2019, and as we're now almost half way through March I feel I should be on the very latest update.
Huawei definitely consider their home market more important than ROW.
---------- Post added at 03:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:43 PM ----------
I contacted Huawei UK by email about 5 weeks ago... response came day before yesterday ......
A few hours after my post above my device received a new OTA update.
It's now running 10.0.0.186, security patch 1 January 2020.
Although I'd prefer more timely updates I'm still glad I received this latest one.

Hi m8,
According to this post and after talking to @demurov, your device is not a demo unit - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82043915&postcount=529. For you to get latest EMUI 10, Huawei needs to release the update. Whille on EMUI 9.1 could use the dload firmware from C432 (international firmware version) to update your device, things are different in EMUI 10 and you need to flash the same firmware as your actual cust is, otherwise you can get yourself with a softbricked phone.
As i've mentioned in my post, users who have WEC custs CAN TEST (be aware of softbrick, though) using the methods from my post, but there's NO guarantee it will work and still remains the big problem of having a softbrick device whille waiting for a Huawei EMUI 10 dload firmware for WEC custs phones
Also, did you check for an update using HiSuite PC v10? Or maybe using eRecovery? Last weekend helped an WEC user through PM's to get updated untill v9.1.0.260, using dload firmware and HiSuite.

Do you really recommend to use HiSuite PC or eRecovery for firmware update ONLY with Sim-card taking out from the phone?
Thanks

Sometime, your carrier delay your updates, therefore cheching without SIM inside is better than with it (tested by many users from xda) ?
