RP2 & ARCore - Razer Phone 2 Questions & Answers

AFAIK, RP2 is whitelisted for ARCore, so why isn't it available?
I can find the APKs fine elsewhere, but none work.

It's not listed in Google's official list of supported devices, so I don't think it's going to work without rooting your device.

I didn't realise there was a way of enabling it post-root, link to method please?

Accessing field test application with dev access

Is it possible to access the field test application in lumia 520 in the new amber update? I found from the internet that it should be possible with dev unlocked phones which I now have but I have no idea how to proceed from here.

Just look at my Diagnostic Apps thread in my signature. Its ##3282&call or just ##3282#.
It might be disabled depending on your device and provider. I'm still missing reports on many devices on it.

I've obviously tried that. ##3282 + call, used to work but after Amber update it doesn't. I really need the feature and if you have any ideas, please help me out.

Then you need to install the Native Toast launcher. You will need a Windows 7 (64bit edition) or a Windows 8 Pro (64bit edition) computer.
If you need more specific instructions, you can follow the FAQ in my sig too.

It still might be disabled, but you can always try. Its a completely blank page on the Lumia 928, so your mileage might vary.

How to remove Malware (without root)

Hi,
I found this guide on zukfans to blocking the chinese apps on the official china ROM.
https://zukfans.eu/community/threads/how-to-block-any-bloatware-like-liuliangbao-without-root.1127/
Unfortunately I cannot register there, I never receive the registration emails, is anyone able to host the ADB-Win_New file that is attached in the first post please?
Cheers

I have only found 2 processes but no spyware (amazon and other one i dont remember), but my phone isn't rooted. I suppose that it must be rooted if you want to see more processes...
Other important thing, you must unzip this in c:\program files(x86)\Debloater\Debloater\tools
Cheers.

These methods do not work. I do not think the writer has tested it on the mate 10.
First, this thread i not in the right section.
So moved to Guides, News & Discussion
Second, OP @rjan22 could you please clarify if you have successfully rooted your device by this method?
for the legit part, I will come back to give you the ANSWER.
Thanks
This didn't work for huawei mate 10 pro.

None of them work. You have to flash a pre-rooted ramdisk image. I'm not sure if flashfire can do this, but none of the methods in OPs link can.

Has anyone tried booting the Android Q GSI on the G6 yet?

https://developer.android.com/preview/gsi-release-notes
Would be interesting to know if it even works. Although IIRC the G6 doesn't have 64 Bit support.

It won't work. 64bit is the problem. There is a way to get 64bit working, but the guy who figured it out, took down the information and I can't find it anywhere. I can find the thread about it just fine, but the links he posted are all dead. Essentially all that needs to be done is,
*Make an arm64 compatible twrp.
*Modify some system processes to always run as arm32. (Vendor edits I think.)
*Add some Motorola specific 64bit libs.
I've been wanting to work on this for awhile now. I just need more information.

Sure, here you go. https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/dev-64bits-t3708091/
I did get a response from Vache about it. He said all the G5 Plus trees are 64bit now and that I can find the changes in any of them. I looked, and they are all 64bit, but it hasn't helped me find the changes that were needed in the first place. So, I'm still at a loss right now.
