Google Autofill doesn't work - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Anyone have any idea why I don't have Autofill on my Mi 9?
I was running the global stable rom but installed global beta today and still don't have autofill.

Autofill doesn't work or you don't have a setting to enable it?

Where does one find that setting?
It has always prompted me on every non MIUI phone I've used

Does the Chinese ROM have Google Password Manager?

Hi there!
I was wondering if the Chinese variant (without google services) has Google Password Manager.
If not, will it come when installing Google Play services on the device or do you have to have the global rom for it?
The reason I'm asking is because I want to order the Mi 10 Pro Chinese version ($150 cheaper). I know I can install Google services on it, but it's unclear to me if the Password Manager is also being installed.
*I know Xiaomi has it's own password manager but I prefer to use Google's.
**The reason I'm asking here is because you guys have more experience than the Mi 10 forum.
Thanks!

If you install the google services (from the miui app store), you will get the Google password manager. To enable it after that, go to the settings, manage passwords, and you will be able to enable the Google manager if I remember, because I left the china version of miui.

Android-Auto Not Working on MIUI 12 EU.

Android-auto stopped working on my Mi9 , after OTA upgrade to MIUI 12. (12.0.1.0 EU Stable)
Tryied the following with no luck:
Enabled USB Debugging
Cleared Cache and Data @ "Google App Services","Android Auto" , "Google"
Updated android auto to latest version.
USB cable change
Anyone experiencing the same issue?
Any recommendation on what could be going wrong?
I haven't tested android auto but I have noticed that eventhou I have Google arcore installed, I can't use view in 3d or Google playground
Android auto works fine here (Finland, MIUI 12 OTA upgrade).
I did hard reset the phone after upgrade (I thought something was broken, but turned out to be one single app incompatible with MIUI 12).
I have the same issue. Also did a hard reset and same issue occurred
Managed to get it working by performing "Clear all Data" from "Google Play Services".
But this is not a permanent fix. After a while, I need to redo the process to get Android Auto working again.
Could someone confirm the above?
Also, how would one report a bug to Xiaomi/MIUI ?
Managed to solve this by Downgrading "Google Play Services" to version: 20.24.14 (from 20.26.13)
Downgrade is not tge solution ?
Having a weird Android Auto issue on my Mi 11 Ultra running EU 12.5.4 Stable.
Wirelessly connected to my factory head unit in my 21' Chevy, almost everything works flawlessly. "OK Google" hot-word works, music, maps, text notifications - all good. The problem is that while I can talk to it, It won't ever hear me when I respond to it.
For Example, I can say "OK Google, text my wife" It will respond with "What's the message?", but then when I speak the message it doesn't hear anything and just keeps asking me to say the message.
Anybody else having this weird quirk? I've tried everything I know to try to fix it, permissions, uninstalling, unpairing - no luck so far.

Hi,
how did you get Android auto to work on MIUI 12 on the mi 11 ultra.
I have one of them running MIUI 12.5.4 running Android auto version 6.3.611324-release.
When I plug it into my Mitshubishi Outlander PHEV it show 3 buttons at the bottom saying use USB for "No Data Transfer, File Transferm Photo Transfers".
If I select the Android auto app on the phone, and purple background screen shows saying enable calendar and contact permissions an I press continue and app immediately closes. I have enabled all 23 permissions on the android auto app.
Not sure what to try next? Any ideas?
Thanks

Using the CN version, I couldnt find anywhere that sold a global 512gb version.
Have you got the 512GB version of the mi11 ultra. Does the EU version support 512GB?
Does the EU version already have google services installed?
Can you provide a link to how I change the firmware?
Thanks,
ST

[GUIDE][venus|star|mars] How to install Xiaomi.eu ROM for Xiaomi MI11 / Pro / Ultra
I'm waiting for my unlock, but doing a bit of research. I think it should be fine, but wanted to ask, if anybody flashed weekly or stable over the CN 12.5 version on mi11 ultra. I'd like to stay on the weekly version, just don't want to brick the device. Anybody did this?
xiaomi.eu
Unlock bootloader - takes 7 days, then fastboot EU version. Just follow the video in this link. Easy peasy.

7 days? not sure but that's how it is with Xiaomi. Start unlock process, wait 7 days, complete it. There's tons of info on how to do this, just search for it on forums or YouTube. I installed Stable. Need to use it for work, can't be messing around with half baked operating systems
Have your experienced any stability issues with the Eu version over the CN version on the mi 11 ultra?
Have you tested the camera app a bit?
Thx again,

None. Works exactly as the CN version did, except without a ton of bloatwear and language characters that I don't understand. Camera functionality the same, as far as I know, they change nothing from any of that stuff. Read through the post in that link I sent, it's full of information and feedback from tons of people who are using this rom
Almost convinced myself to try now. Really want to the use the AAwireless device.
With the 7 days, can I still use the phone in that time?

unfortunately no alternative launcher works on the phone
if you have not already installed the global version on your phone I advise you to install it this could increase the chances of being able to install in the alternative launcher

Do you maybe know how to solve this also? And is anybody else experiencing the same?

Does anyone know how to enable swiping for nova launcher?
Global 12.0.3.0
The right and left swipe work if you install the FNG (Fluid navigation gestures) app, the swipe from the bottom of the screen doesn't unfortunately..

Question MI 11 ULTRA CN NOTIFICATIONS

I just got my hands on the mi 11 ultra, few days back I made the switch from oneplus 7 Pro.
my major concern right now is notifications from Instagram, Whatsapp & messenger.
So far I have tried, Battery restrictions, auto start, lock app from recent taps & active notification (from developer options)
however I am still unable to get instant notifications on idle screen. sometimes the notifications are delayed by few minutes or they wait for my attention (till i unlock the phone or open the particular app)
since I run an ecommerce business these notifications are crucial for me.
Kindly if anyone has been successful do share what worked for you?

Unlock your bootloader and flash global rom. Best rom for 11 ultra.
I switch between china stable, eu, and now global. No bug and great performance
Global Rom is super performing as well as chinese especially if you play with root. Obviously chinese rom is kore advanced as it works under different regulations and also more updated

Unfortunately, I have never rooted or changed ROMs on any of my android phone. hence unfamiliar with the procedure to do so. Just based of my research I think to use another ROM unlocking the Bootloader & rooting is required & by doing so, I will loss out on a lot of local (middle east-KSA) apps which are of essential use to me.

Whatever you do you want get perfectly timely notification in china rom. Just switched to global rom that's only option.
Did you try to give full permission to Google play services and Google services framework? Also allow autostart to it. Check if by doing so whatsapp start working as intended. Afaik whatsapp relies on Google play services to function properly. On Global rom Google play services is a system app on china is a user app, the problem is that

Yes, because dt2sleep option not available on Xiaomi's system launcher on global rom for 11t pro. What U can do is install LSPosed Module named MiuiHome, and u can enable dt2sleep option there.
And many more options to tweak the xiaomi's system launcher using that module.
(ofc u have to install lsposed module first via magisk)

EDIT:
Don't you confuse Stock rom for EU(EEA) and Xiaomi EU rom custom rom?
Which requires unlocking the bootloader for installation.
