K20 Pro Mic and Headphones mic not wroking - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Hello dear friends,

Try to disable google now/ assistant, restart the phone and make sure the required permissions are available for your app. This can solve your problem most probably.

If this doesn't work, then do a clean flash of the xiaomi.eu 9.6.27 build. When wiping clean, also wipe system, before installing the ROM.

I suggest to flash official china fastboot rom, then twrp again and eu room.

If this didn't work, then demonntl's suggestion was going to be my next suggestion too. When flashing using the Mi flash tool don't forget that it's default option will also lock the bootloader.
Make sure you change the option in the bottom of the screen to 'Clean All'.
The Xiaomi.eu 9.6.27 ROM seems to be good, according to others, maybe try that after installing official Chinese ROM.
After installing the official ROM and TWRP, makes sure to clean install your chosen ROM.

Can the OP confirm which solution finally fixed it? My Samsung EG920 earphones have the same problem. Can listen to music, but the buttons are a dud!

If you guys have a screensaver (glass version), then this seems to happen a lot.
Remove the glas screensaver and it probably works.
Or stay on MIUI.

Headphone volume too quiet

Is there any way to increase the headphone volume? Listening to music is way too quiet and adjusting the equalizer or switching to a different preset in settings doesn't make that much of a difference. I had the same problem on my Huawei Mate 7, but there you just had to remove a codec file and restart the phone. I will try to install viper4android but it won't help me much with my loudness issues.

It's a modified stock rom with many features and better optimization (I guess especially for Europe, but don't quote me on that). You can download it for many different Xiaomi devices on Xiaomi.eu, hence the name. There is a stable and a weekly release, kinda like Cyanogenmods nightly builds.
Just look whether there are optimizations for Europe, if yes ask in their forums whether it would be ok for someone from your region. I'm perfectly happy with the weekly rom, no bugs no performance issue, great battery life and many (in my opinion missing) features for the phone.
Installation is like most custom roms via TWRP.

This question has no sense.
Nobody know what rom is the best for you. There are several roms for dipper and all are good. Try yourself and stay with the best for you.

Personally I like Xiaomi.EU the best, it is always the most up to date, uses the latest source code and there are no issues with anything, battery life is outstanding. Absolutely there are many great roms, but for me is the most consistently stable.
If you try it, use the built in kernel, and it works fine with the latest magisk Canary.

If you need MIUI than xiaomi.eu is best option, if you need AOSP with extra gimmicks than you can consider HavocOS, if you need pure Pixel experience than PixelRom or Pixel Experience is your best bet. But there are several roms out there you can check but this is my own opinion and you asked for it :laugh:

I had a fingerprint issue with xiaomi eu. Where as soon as an app was launched it would detect ghost touches. Had to move over to lineage OS. Don't know if it was just me or it affected others too.

I have never had that issue. most people that had that issue was when Android 10 first came out. Try it again sometime. Just be sure to start clean with a full wipe.

Tried clean flash, yet no luck. Strange thing is that this issue only occurs with some apps, while others work just fine. All other roms (lineage, havoc and pe) work without this issue. Real shame as I prefer miui.

Without a doubt, one of those custom roms custom roms has corrupted one of your partitions .
You need to use a fast-food ROM and restore your phone, Use Mi Flash make sure the bootloader box is not checked or use Adb.
Note: A recovery ROM will not fix your issue it has to be a fastboot "images" ROM. Images will be in the name of the file.
Afterwards you can flash this ROM and no longer have those issues.

Bluetooth pairing problem Honda HFT MIUI 12

Hi guys, i have a problem with the bluetooth connection between my 2013 Honda Civic and my MI 9T pro running miroom 20.6.18.(comming from aosp)
The pairing process is ok between the car and the phone is ok but the connection dosent stay in time, it is connecting deconnecting, connecting deconnecting ...
I try some other miui 12 based rom, same issue.
Any ideas ?
Did you tried reseting the BT?
I had an issue that forced me to manually connect my device to the car but resetting it did the trick.
I do this each time i change ROM, it works everytime with aosp....
Thx for the reply.

Yoooooooo i literally have this!! I have a 2016 civic with the old radio.
It connects and disconnects!!!
I was on mortalos, its based off of cn beta.
It works on STABLE miui 12cn (i flashed with fastboot), so im on xiaomi.ei 12.0.2.0. Or works on most aosp roms (i tried derp, havok and corvus).
Mortal dev knows and will try to add stable bt libs.
OK thanks, will try this week end

Woahh me too lol
I flashed latest 12.0.3.0 EU and now its connecting/disconnecting again. Same thing in latest beta 20.7.23.
So now have to stick to aosp roma or use older stable, or get new sound system.
I'm running global 12.0.2. and so far the workaround for me was to disable phone capability for Honda HFT and only allow music playback (accessing contacts can be left enabled, it doesn't matter). It still takes longer to connect than on MIUI 11 and I obviously can't answer calls on my car's audio but at least music and maps work. Hopefully an update fixes this...

Sorry but what is Mortal? a rom? can't find it...thanks.
I'm on Xiaomi EU stable rom for now, due to find device closed bootloop bug on official stock roms.
Is there any new workaround for this problem? Apparently, Xiaomi will never fix this.
I tried MiuiMiX, but it has the same issue. I tried ASOP ROMs, but then I lose the camera and a bunch of other stuff.

There are already custom roms but maybe you are talking about AOSP roms in this case you will have to wait between 18 and 24 months to have a stable rom assuming that one or more developers are interested in this phone which has not no equivalent in Chinese version only global market.
With an AOsp rom you lose some camera functionality and in general you will have to root the phone to have a certified play store, the impossibility of connecting to the network manually, etc...

You don't read the posts, Xiaomi Eu is not a stock rom but a custom rom.
you confuse with the roms intended for Europe: EEA
EUXM=EEA Europe
MIXM=Global
TRXM=Turkey
RUXM=Russia
INXM=India
JPXM=Japan
IDXM=Indonesia
TWXM=Taiwan
CNXM=China

Regardless of the version of the stock rom, you will need to unlock the bootloader. Many say their rom is Eu but it is EEA stock rom.

You edited your post #15. It's just to avoid any confusion, when we talk about stock roms for Europe we say EEA roms and not EU roms which are custom roms, that's all.
