Welcome to COSP, your new future Android Operating System.
Our goal is to have an Pixel-like android ROM that isn't spying on you and uses as few system space as possible. Also, we provide the option to go completely without GApps using MicroG support.
Why us?
We are focusing on stability and performance, having an debloated ROM is essential for that. Also, we want Users to decide what kind of Store they want to use, either F-Droid or the Play Store.
Also, we take User requests serious. To suggest something, contact us on telegram.
Features:
1) All systemUI tuning elements
2) An handy Network indicator
3) Charging Information
4) Lawnchair and Quickstep as default
5) Quick Settings mods
6) Signature spoofing

If I do a fresh installation, is this the correct order to install this ROM?
- install ROM
- clear cache/dalvik
- install fix
- install opengapps
- install magisk
I've been testing it since yesterday.
The performance is average and the battery drain is massive I installed the Kernel Adiutor, and I saw that the CPU is running 1.2-1.4 GHz all the time (performance governor), even when idle (I don't mean "deep sleep"). So I changed cpu governor to conservative + some battery optimizations + cpu min. freq 200MHz and max. freq 800MHz... but I don't know if it's worth it, I mean, the cost of performance.
But it doesn't matter.
At the beginning it seemed to be great, the ROM was stable for the first few hours, on every other Pie ROM I tested, I had a lot of problems right away, from the first minutes. I thought I finally found a reasonably stable Pie ROM, but... but the phone reboots every few hours, sometimes every few minutes. Everything else works fine, no freezes, no errors, the apps work OK, everything is fine.
I couldn't install "go mode" from the TWRP ("error 4"), so I installed as a Magisk module. It's been enabled (it works), but nothing has changed, the phone still reboots itself
Once again, I am convinced that (for me) the Pie's too much for that phone.

[ROM/DEV] Unofficial CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 "GalaxyMini" Port

Note: This port is 100% built from source, heavily based on my "Galaxy5" device sources. The reason why I have decided to develop/release this ROM is that I prefer to use a vanilla CyanogenMod build (with no customized/extra apps included), and I noticed some issues with all existing builds (e.g. FM radio, audio device routing, native CyanogenMod USB tethering) which I have already fixed in my Galaxy 5 port.
I don't actually own this phone, but I will offer support in my free time while I still have the device in my possession, and sources are provided.
CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 "GalaxyMini" Port
Latest release: v1.2 [26 January 2012]
Latest Google Apps package: official: 20110828
Hey folks,
This is a port of Cyanogen 7.2.0-RC0 (based on Android Gingerbread 2.3.7) for the Samsung Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570) phone. The current port status is stable - most hardware is working correctly, but see post #2 for known issues.
Thanks to all who have contributed/shared code from the Galaxy 5 port, as well as coolya, tj_style and teamhacksung for the kernel patches and reference Tass device configuration.
Pre-requisites:
Your phone must have a Gingerbread bootloader installed (as it uses the 2.6.35 kernel & Gingerbread proprietary files).
Any version of ClockworkMod that supports EXT4 partitions. Unfortunately, the build supplied with ROM Manager doesn't seem to be compatible.
Recommended: ensure that you have a backup of your current ROM and user data.
Installation:
Note 1: you always need to re-install the Google Apps package after installing a full update package.
Reboot into ClockworkMod. You can do this via adb reboot recovery, or by choosing the Reboot -> Recovery menu if you are already using CyanogenMod.
If you are upgrading from a stock or custom ROM, you absolutely must perform a data wipe: Select wipe data/factory reset and confirm the operation. Note that you will lose all of your user data, so be sure that you have performed a backup. Otherwise, skip to the next step.
Choose the option install update from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard. You will see the two (or three) .zip files in the list.
You must install the two (or three, if you have a hotfix) files in this exact order:
The base package named update-cm-7.X-GalaxyMini-vY.Z-MADTEAM-signed.zip
[If exists] The latest hotfix package for the same base package version, named GalaxyMini-vX.Y-hotfixZ.zip
The Google Apps package, named gapps-gb-DATE-signed.zip
Once all packages are installed, you can now reboot.
Installation (hotfix update only):
Note 1: hotfixes are cumulative - this means that you only need to install the latest hotfix, because it contains all the fixes of previous hotfixes.
Note 2: you don't need to re-install the Google Apps package if you are only installing a hotfix update.
Note 3: only install hotfixes that match the full update package version (e.g. v1.5hotfix1 only matches release version v1.5).
Note 4: hotfixes do not require a data-wipe.
Download the latest hotfix package and transfer to the SD card.
Reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery.
Choose install update from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard, select the hotfix and confirm installation.
Reboot.
Latest Changelog:
Note: "Data wipe?" only refers to when you upgrade from a previous version of my ROM - not anybody else's. For every other case, follow the guidelines of the Installation section above.
v1.2 [26 January 2012]
Data wipe? Only if you experience problems.
Updated CyanogenMod source.
Now includes ICS transition and rotation animations (merged officially into CM7.2).
Fix for rare issue where notification area items can get "stuck", causing notifications to malfunction.
Kernel: removed Samsung's drop_caches code in order to prevent periodic cache flushes that can reduce performance.
Wifi: disabled combo scan due to problems with reconnect from idle; tweaked TCP buffering to improve performance.
Bluetooth: improved configuration (enabled HFP support, increased max BT connections from 1 -> 3).
libaudio: updated code & removed proprietary liba2dp.so.
v1.1 [20 January 2012]
Hotfix 1 [20 January 2012]: Improve wifi connectivity (changed from ar6000 -> wext wpa_supplicant driver with combo scan enabled, enable ssid scanning in configuration to fix hidden networks); add missing FM Radio application; updated proprietary files with newer versions and added some missing files to fix keymaps.
Data wipe? Only if you experience problems.
Updated CyanogenMod source.
Kernel: fixed charge reboot issue (thanks to squadzone for tip).
Kernel: patched bma_accel_driver.c to enforce minimum poll_delay threshold. This fixes all Google Maps 6.x issues, and will probably also fix lag issues in applications that try to excessively poll sensor data.
v1.0 [15 January 2012]
Hotfix 2 [17 January 2012]: Framework: reduced LatinIME key height in landscape mode (.25in -> .23in). Kernel: tweak smartassV2 CPU scheduler to make better use of the Mini's available CPU frequencies; removed SCHED_HRTICK kernel tweak due to instability/random reboot issue; update CPU & AHB overclock code (CPU overclock up to 864Mhz, but 844Mhz seems to be the maximum stable frequency for my phone; AHB now overclocks at frequencies higher than 400Mhz instead of 480Mhz). Once again: overclock frequencies are not activated until you enable them manually, and you do so at your own risk.
Hotfix 1 [15 January 2012]: Framework: enable purging of unused assets by default. Kernel: enable "veno" TCP congestion protocol to improve wireless reception, configuration changes to help battery usage, several stability & performance patches (see github commits), enabled CPU overclock to 768Mhz with 50% AHB overclocking (thanks to kalltkaffe). Note: the kernel will always boot at the safe frequency of 604Mhz; you must manually enable overclocked frequencies in CyanogenMod - Performance -> CPU. I accept no responsibility for damage as a result of using overclocked frequencies!
Initial status: everything appears to be working correctly (but I may have overlooked some issues).
Based on latest CyanogenMod source (Android version 7.2-RC0)
Patched: wpa_supplicant_v6 ar6000 supplicant driver
Patched: swap volume control buttons at 90 degrees orientation
Patched: enable bcm2049 fm radio & better seek support
Kernel: based on teamhacksung's android_kernel_samsung_msm, with additional patches: BFQ IO scheduler (default), interactiveX, smartassV2 (default) cpu schedulers, fix for CyanogenMod native USB tethering, replaced ramzswap driver (for CMParts/compcache/rzscontrol ioctl compatibility).

Kernel: https://github.com/psyke83/android_kernel_samsung_msm
Device: https://github.com/psyke83/android_device_samsung_tass
Further Information
Not working / TODO:
SIM Toolkit (menus will display, but options/commands do not process properly when selected).
Battery drains: CyanogenMod doesn't report the battery status properly. Please read this post.
Not working / WONTFIX:
Kies. Don't expect Kies to support any custom ROMS.
Before you ask...
I have no interest or intention to further "mod" the ROM with any kind of hacks or customizations (like custom apps, themes, Swype, etc.). My only aim is to have a 100% stable port of CyanogenMod code. Any such requests will be ignored.
Reporting bugs
You must follow these instructions exactly, or I will ignore your requests. Provide the following information:
The version of the ROM you are using (to confirm that you have the latest release)
Report any customizations you have made to the ROM (themes, system apps, etc.)
Describe the problem clearly, including steps on how I can reproduce the issue.
Provide a logcat from your system taken just after the issue has occurred. To take a logcat, you enter this command from your PC: adb shell logcat -d >c:\logcat.txt. Copy and paste this log to pastebin.com, and provide the link.
If I ask you to re-test the issue after a data-wipe, do the following: reboot into ClockworkMod, perform a full backup, then data-wipe, reboot and retest the issue, giving a new log if necessary. You can then reboot into ClockworkMod and restore your data backup.
Reserved for future use...

I tested squadzone's RC4 build - it was nice, but I noticed some problems that I already fixed in my galaxy5 port (the hardware is very similar). I already mentioned a few of the bugs in the blue text of post #1. I also don't really like when Google apps or other third-party apps/customizations are bundled in a ROM - my CM7 build is as close to an official build as possible (no added apps, themes, modified effects).
My kernel is quite simple, based on teamhacksung's source with patches to fix some bugs related to USB tethering and just the best IO/CPU schedulers added. Overclocking is not added to my kernel, but I may add it later on, once I've had time to test overclock stability on this device.
If you don't care about "purity" and you like all the extras included with squadzone's ROM, feel free to continue using it . It's nice to have more choice, I think.

I like you bro..
And I'm pretty sure I will like your work also..
much much better ... more power.
Btw .. I like that word... "Purity" = "Cleanliness"
i`ve tested it , and hard to say..ITS AWESOME !!!
Pros
Density fit for our phone
clean UI
apps working great
no more scatter video
Cons
a bit laggy dude
can you make the kernel and make it more smooth ?? i really love your ROM
Could you upload screenshots? I really want to see how this turns out.
Thats not fair.
I loved cm7 rc4 rom from Squad. But as you mentioned there are still to many bugs. For example camera has not sometimes, it has always wrong oriantation. No radio, etc.
Therefore I went to emanoN v3. This rom is really good. Now emanoN has an update and cm7 comes back newly and clean programmed.
I will give it a try. Thanks for your time and support offering us this rom.
Grettings from Ruhrpott http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruhr
the best cm7 build until now
but i have i question: the lockscreen seems not working, i think it's turned off because i can wake up the phone only with home or power button, and i'm on home screen immediately without unlocking
i checked in cyano lockscreen settings and there is no lockscreen on/off option
however, on the one hand it's good too because in my pocket it's impossible that home or power button gets pressed
so it's a bug or feature?
and big thanks for this clean cm7 build, i appreciate your work
Actually i find this post the best...
Only ... the problem is...
can you return the density like tj_style density of cm7?
its hard to get over with... a change in density i mean.
looking forward on your next update!!!..
i love this !! were getting cm7 updates...

[ROM][UB] February 10: JAGUAR SIRIUS LP 5.1.1 OFFICIAL HARDENED

October 17. Rom fixed: boots and works fine on Xperia Z3, which is like Z2 a Shinano device.
This is the Official Jaguar rom for Honami, which is based on AOSP with some flavors from Slim and Dirtyunicorn. The main difference from other roms is the emphasis on security and multiple features. With that in mind , let's see what Jaguar has to offer:
1. Hardened Kernel, modified M5; hardened rom built with HYPERTOOL 5.4
2. All ciphers enabled in kernel instead of just a few
3. Hardened/Fortified Bionic and Libs
4. Fstack protection strong to resist buffer overflows
5. Many System apps and processes are made read-only, to reduce elevation of privilege
6. Selinux replaced with Tomoyo Security, Yam security
7. Disc encryption, keymaster to 256 bit AES instead of 128
8. Latest TWRP with working brightness and ability to decrypt Data
9. Random number generation mixed hardware/software, as recommended by Linus Torwalds
10. Options to randomize host on every boot
11. Option to have a separate password for lock screen and boot
12. Qualcomm's Time Services disabled due to leaking on early boot (set time to automatic to get it from your carrier). Forget it. Jaguar now has Sony TimeKeep ported from MM/Nougat that sets the correct time locally without the internet or GSM signal. So, even if you are in Airplane mode, the time will be right on each reboot. All you need to do is to set it right once on a live device
13. WIFI Background Scanning disabled to prevent leaking
14. Internet disabled for both WIFI and Data until Afwall is set and activiated (Afwall included in download, install as regular app)
15. The phone is VOLTE ready and you have all network options available in Cell menu (not just LTE/WCDMA/GSM)
16. GRsecurity features, such as Sidechannel implemented
17. Some Pax Security Features
18. Option to deny USB connection: denied always; denied when locked; and allowed always
19. Hardened webview with Google and other "interesting" IPs removed
20. Prevention of bruteforcing screen pin: the phone will reboot upon 3 unsuccessful attempts
21. Perfect_Event_Paranoid ported from Grsecurity: now third party apps can't use other apps including system to elevate privileges
22. Camera hardware button works to focus, take pictures and start video recording
23. Option to disable writing to Tombstones (a lot of private info is dumped there if there is a crash)
24. Option to disable continuing writing of logcat
25. Option to disable device cameras: back; front, both or none
26. Always latest Google Security Patches
27. Always latest Code Aurora Security Patches
28. Changes ported directly from Google Android Gerrit, so most of those in MM and even N are in this rom
29. About 80% of kernel changes are ported into Jaguar kernel from 3.10 and 3.18 (not Sony AOSP 3.10 that has Down Syndrome, but Linux/Google/Code Aurora one)
30. Rom is odexed to significantly increase boot speed (under 30 seconds) and application start
31. DNS_Crypt that gives you a native option to have numerous Dns providers all encrypted (in Settings/Security
32. Seccomp/secure computing implemented and enabled in kernel
31. Many more security features ported from Linux and Copperhead OS
Other features include: Layers Theme Engine; Native Call Recording with interface integrated in Dialer with no restrictions; Privacy Guard; Native Wakelock Blocker; Native Black List; Global Menu; Slim Recents; Traffic Indicators; Advanced Reboot; Slim Pie; CPU Info on Screen; Ram Bar in Recents; Open Source Superuser included and integrated in Settings; True Offline Charging with Screen Off; Kernel Adiutor included (unzip and install as a normal app) and integrated in Settings; FM Radio and Recording plus more
Things users need to know to have smooth experience:. These are not bugs, but rather an explanation of some features
1. If you want to do data encryption, keep in mind that unlike Android, Jaguar uses 256 bit encryption. If you were encrypted on other roms, you won't be able to decrypt. So, wipe encryption and then re-encrypt on Jaguar. Also, keep in mind that if you ever did factory reset on official TWRP 3+ for honami, your data partition is screwed and have to be resized to enable encryption. This has nothing to do with the rom, but rather with the official TWRP itself. Fastboot my unofficial TWRP 3.0.2, which, by the way has working brightness, as well as ability to decrypt and mount data
2. Jaguar contains a script running on early boot, which cuts the internet access to both WIFI and Data until Afwall is running. This is done to prevent leaking, as well as having all your internet traffic routed through some interesting number of servers, including this IP: 26.147.196.22. So, install Afwall and activate it, otherwise, no Internet for you
3. If your system language is different from English and you want to make changes in Phone/Cell Network settings, switch to English first, make the changes and then return to your language. The changes you made will hold. If you try to make the changes in your language, you will have com.android.phone crash. Localization takes time and is virtually impossible to implement in Jaguar, which is a one-person-rom
4. Sony TimeKeep, which is ported from MM/N, now sets the correct time on reboot without the Internet or GSM signal. All you need to do is set it once and TimeKeep will save/recalculate/restore the same on each reboot
5. GAPPS: if you use them, you need to flash them right after the rom (or each update) and before reboot. Flashing after reboot will result in multiple f/c
6. Due to Volte implementation, you will need to flash (one time only) stock LP or MM baseband, but only if you have no GSM signal
Download: All updates and change logs are in Post #3
Instructions:
1. Be on LP, Have TWRP (fastboot my unofficial version), unlocked bootloader and root
2. In TWRP, wipe data/factory reset, then wipe System/Data/Cache/Dalvik
3. Flash the rom
4. If you use xposed, flash the latest installer
5. Reboot, install Afwall and Kernel Adiutor as normal apps; activate Afwall to have Internet
6. Enjoy the rom, say thank you, donate or do both
Warning: If your device and/or anyone in the immediate vicinity dies, don't blame me: it is all China and Russia's fault.

Development update as of February 16 and some Screenshots
February 16: I broke my Z1 screen again and am not in the mood for after market screens. And I am sick and tired of Sony crappy treatment of development community.
I am now looking at Lenovo Zuk Z2 or Z2 pro. Both excellent phones with the latest CPU and made out of metal and glass by Motorola which they bought from Google a couple of years ago. Zuk is friendly to developers and their blobs don't dumb down camera and they don't seek to "unify" bugs for all their devices. I no longer wish to support a fat bastard corporation that can't make a good phone, but thinks that just by putting their logo on the phone would make it worth $700.
RE Jaguar. I will continue to maintain Jaguar mainly with security patches... for a while, but my main work will be concentrated on Zuk. There is a lot of work to be done cleaning Android N and implementing security and other features from Jaguar...

The issue on Shinano was that kernel compiled with UBERTC 5 and higher wouldn't simply boot...
I have now published a fully working Jaguar for Z3 and Z3c...
Is shinano and sirius shares same components?
Wouldnt flashing shinano rom hard-brick sirius?

Oh, please. Both Z2 and Z3 use shinano platform, but the roms are different for each device. This one is made specifically for Z2-Sirius... So, you won't brick your device if you flash it...

As long as you have TWRP and do a clean wipe: system/cache/data, you should be OK.

You do know that you have to long press on screen and then do copy/paste? On some apps copying doesn't work, but on most it does...
hi bro,
great work! this is so light and smooth in use
i liked minimum pre-apps on this ROM
but as you know copy/past texts not work at all! (copy function works very well but past doesn't work)
have you any solution for this?

thanks again for this awesome ROM , bro . everything is perfect.
and just a few more questions...
1.is Fast charging active in your kernel?
2.i've get bootloop when i flashed xposed(arm-sdk22-v86) in twrp.
Is this ROM not compatible with xposed framework?
where is your unofficial TWRP?
I want to use AES 256 encryption on your rom.
In your post, you recommended using unofficial TWRP when i use encryption.
But I can't find your unofficial TWRP for SIRIUS.:crying:
Can i have a link?

[KERNEL][HI6250] Veno Kernel [2017-05-22]

Veno Kernel for Huawei HI6250 devices
Note: I'm waiting for Huawei to release new kernel sources with Nougat, until then I'll focus on fixing any bugs people find. New features will come with Linux 4.1.
The goalTo provide better battery life and more smoothness to your everyday experience, but without sacrificing one in the name of the other (so no +smooth/-battery tweaks and vice versa).
Maybe some extra features? I don't know, I hate unnecessary bloat that provides nothing to everyday user (or even developer).
Okay, so what's in?
Based on latest Huawei VNS sources from January 2017
Turns out newest sources are unstable, I rebased the kernel on 2016 release
Patched to 3.10.105 upstream
Built using Linaro 6.3 toolchain
DM Verity disabled
UKSM 0.1.2.6 (backported from Linux 4.0)
BFQ I/O scheduler
ROW I/O scheduler
Thunderplug hotplugging driver*
Dynamic Fsync
AnyKernel2 package! Compatible with any ROM except stock newer than B336.
For full list of changes see here.
* - Thunderplug is out for now, as it made the device unstable
Installation
Make sure you have TWRP installed
Create backup of your current boot
Flash the zip package (it will modify your boot instead of flashing entire boot.img)
Reboot and enjoy! Look below for how to use additional features
THAT'S A LOT OF CHANGES, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M READINGA quick ELI5 then:
Patched to 3.10.105 upstream
Newer source = less bugs and better kernel in general.
Built using Linaro 6.3 toolchain
Kernel has extra ARM optimizations and phone is faster/has better battery life.
DM Verity disabled
Big brother won't know that you have fiddled with root.
UKSM
More free RAM and less CPU load, so MORE RAM, PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE.
BFQ I/O scheduler
ROW I/O scheduler Schedulers
With default settings phone will run smoothly even when you're playing FLAC music, compressing 10 archives of 5GB of music and banging your gf (I can't actually know that)
Dynamic Fsync
When you're using the phone, it cares more about your smooth experience than writing data to disk, so the system seems more responsive.
AnyKernel2 package
Can install on top of anything, Huawei is upgrading to kernel 4.1 with EMUI5 though, so flashing might be going backwards (this is 3.10), at least until they release new sources.

20170406
Rebased on older, more stable Huawei sources (from 2016, everything else is the same)
Removed some of the debugging stuff from the kernel
Enabled Huawei hotplugging driver (it appears to only control big cores tho?)
20170405
UKSM patched to v0.1.2.6 again
Enabled/Disabled a lot of stuff in defconfig
Disabled mostly debugging stuff, which should result in slightly faster kernel.
Enabled a lot of USB drivers (so most stuff should work with Host Mode, if anyone ever uses that)
Enabled some missing Huawei code from older kernel sources, which I believe caused lowmem killer to go haywire, causing heavy apps to randomly close (I tested this one a bit, apps like Snapchat seem to no longer close, can never be sure)
20170404 - BUGFIX attempt
Rolled UKSM back to v0.1.2.3, should help with apps closing without any error
20170330
Removed Thunderplug, as it was causing freezes and bootloops (Huawei HMP doesn't like to have cores offline apparently), system should be stable now
Hotplugging will most likely return, with different driver or when Huawei releases 4.1 kernel sources.
My birthday release, yay, have a stable kernel everyone
20170329
Fix multiple lcd_notify calls
Protect against some hotplug race conditions
Run Thunderplug in per-core mode by default (gotta save the energy!)
Dynamic Fsync (ported to lcd_notify)
Fixes to backported UKSM (possibly fixes binder errors, apps not opening until reboot)
20170325

Yes, I'm running it on LOS 14.1 right now.
If somebody could test it on stock and EMUI5 ROMs (just for the heck of it, keep backup) I'd be grateful.

Installed succesfully on L31 running Resurrection Remix nougat. I will try for a few days and report back feedback
Will try it on EMUI 5 as soon as I have time.. very happy to see our device is getting devs' attention, keep up the good work!
Good afternoon. Your modification will work on EMUI 4 ?
thank you
upd.: on EMUI 4 it worked

Hello
I have tested on vns-l31c636b361 (nougat), it does not start blocking your device is booting now ....
(I think I forgot the root)
I will re-try with but I get it with dload c636b170.
New try, l31c636b170 (emui 4) + twrp meticulus, ok :good:
Flashed it more than a day ago, working great on LineageOS 14 (VNS-L31), yet to find any issues...
Wat does it really do haha? Saw "whats in" but dont really know what that means hahaha.
Are you planning to add other CPU/ GPU governors?
uspy said:

It's something I'd like to do at some point, but there are very few governors which are properly adapted to octacore devices and none so far worked out of the box with Huawei kernel. I'm keeping my eye mostly on ElementalX and Impulse, but they'll need changes to even compile.
For now stick with interactive, next release with thunderplug enabled by default will bring better battery life.
Sent from my VNS-L21 using Tapatalk
It's really nice to hear that you are working on it. Thanks for your reply.
20170329 release
New release is out! Note that I wasn't running on a new build for very long, so issues might still surface, keep a watch on this thread.
Changes:
Fix multiple lcd_notify calls
lcd_notifier call was implemented in wrong section of Huawei LCD driver, oops.
Protect against some hotplug race conditions
Stability fixes mostly, based on ThunderZap kernels.
Run Thunderplug in per-core mode by default (gotta save the energy!)
Due to how scheduling works in Huawei kernel, it might keep one or two big cores up after heavy load, but should be fine once the screen is turned off.
Dynamic Fsync (ported to lcd_notify)
I moved Dynamic Fsync (thanks faux123) to lcd_notify to avoid kernel bloat from powersuspend or earlysuspend (which are not present in the kernel).
Fixes to backported UKSM (possibly fixes binder errors, apps not opening until reboot)
My derp in commiting changes might have caused critical fail in Android Binder, which resulted in random reboots and new apps not opening. Tell me if anyone encounters it.
Overall this release should bring much better battery life and smoothness to the system (mostly thanks to dyn fsync).

Settings crash, dialer crashes when dialing any number after flashing latest release.
Anyway to unflash, or fix this? I didn't do a twrp backup prior to this, but I did do a cache/dalvik wipe after flashing.
Will a factory reset fix this? Or maybe just wipe /system in twrp?
I'm running stock b170 on vnsl21, meticulus twrp, rooted with magisk. I also have systemless xposed installed, maybe there's a conflict?

So then, would a fastboot flash boot boot.img work to uninstall the kernel?
edit: I was just about to instal catlog to provide logs, while going for another round of dalvik/cache wipe and guess what - it seems everything is ok now. Will keep you posted if any issues arise.

Yes, that's how you flash kernel images. Also keep backup next time.
Sent from my VNS-L21 using Tapatalk
Also a question if I may. Would this kernel provide any benefits over the stock one if I don't install Kernel Adiutor and change any of the settings - basically just flash it and forget it?
edit: 2 questions if you could be so kind as to indulge me.
Does this modify haptic feedback? As it seems to me - either that or I'm crazy - that keyboard haptic feedback is different after flashing this. It's weaker and a little strange (?), however, navbar haptic feedback and other vibrations seem to be the same as with the stock kernel.
Thanks for your time
further edit for feedback: The fingerprint sensor is a bit iffy now. It's considerably slower sometimes, and generally slower and doesn't always vibrate on unlock, like 9/10 times it doesn't vibrate.
I flashed today's build and I noticed that only one core was active, and I can't turn on more than 4 cores so I can basically use 2 little and 2 big cores. Is this as it should be expected?

[Kernel] SMF-KERNEL - RR/AICP/LOS/AOSP - 8.1

Hello!
I want to introduce my first custom kernel for the Essential PH-1. This is based of several sources, I cherry-picked commits to make improvements to the stock LOS kernel. I'm not a developer, but i really like to port stuff over .
Kernel is suitable for AOSP based ROMS such as RR/AICP/CARBON/LOS etc... If you want to request for specific features, let me know and i'll do my best to bring them over.
Special Features:
Updated to lastest LOS Stock Kernel
Added a few governors like: cultivation / impulse
added a few IO Schedulers: Maple
Kcal Color Control driver
USB Fast Charge - pending will be added in R2
SafetyNet Patch (Bypass bootloader unlocked check)
Dynamic Fsync control
a little Overclock - will be added in R2
Motorola Quickwake - Will be added in R2
and manny other small fixes (you can check the commits in the sources)

Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you use this and brick your device or if your device blows up, implodes, flames start shooting from it or it kills your neighbor's dog. Flash at your own risk. I am not responsible.... It was the other guy... I swear....
Latest Release: SMF-Kernel R2
Known issues:
05.17.2018 - CPU Freq don't always stick, known issue caused by other drivers. Phone will eventually set your frequencies, dont' panic.
Installation:
Obviouly you have a Unlocked Bootloader since you're running a custom rom (make sure to never lock your bootloader in this state)
Boot into Bootloader (adb reboot Bootloader)
If you want to root flash the "Magisk" version of the kernel, it's been prerooted with the latest Magisk Beta available.
Code:
fastboot flash boot SMF-Kernel-R1-Magisk.img
reboot
If you want to manually root, first flash twrp, then from twrp flash the 'non magisk' version and after that flash the magisk zip.

I found Cultivation to be really great in terms of perfornance. It's a little bit agressive with the CPU so you get buttery smooth experience with Screen On but it may cost a few % on battery at the end of the day. The good thing is that it has specific tunables and you can set a low cpu freq for when the screen is off.
Specific details from its developer:
-based off of caf 4.4 commits
-uses per-pcu timers
-use state_notifier for screen off timer
option to set different timer rate when screen off
-improrted fastlane with threshold from blu_active
In regards of vibration control. It should be there. I'm using EX Kernel Manager and i can see the vibration option under "Miscellaneous"

Thanks for the info on cultivation, I don't mind trading some battery life for butter so I'm using it now
For the vibration control, it doesn't actually work/stick. I've tried kernel auditor and EX Kernel Manager. To be fair, so far it has only worked on LOS and I think invisiblek may have rewritten the stock controller or something so no worries if it isn't a high priority haha

I'll take a look at the latest commits but I've used the latest los kernel base so I'm not sure why is not sticking maybe it needs rom support too (not sure honestly) hahaha
I've been testing R2 since yesterday. Will update after y he weekend!
Just out of curiosity, was anything involving the camera done to this kernel? I am now able to record videos without the bug, on any of the affected ROMs, with this kernel.

[DISCONTINUED][ROM][9.0][SM-N935F] Lightheart OS [30/10/2020]

Lightheart 1.0 - The key to speed.
Hi everyone. My name is Skulldron and for those of you who do recognise me, know me as the creator of Project Pixel, another one of the greatest ways to emulate the Pixel Experience, whilst keeping all the benefits of using OneUI and its stock optimized drivers as its base. Today I'm going to introduce something, different. Over the years of working on Touchwiz based ROMs, I've learnt the description of every little apk, every little permission, what it accepts and what it rejects, its pros and its cons. As a result of this experience, I have one of the best debloat lists out there, with each item on the debloat list, being tested, through extensive testing, and it goes over every file and every partition known in the OneUI OS. This exact same debloat script was used in Project Pixel, which has received positive review after positive review for how efficient and how lightweight OneUI became after the debloat. Today however, I present to you Lightheart OS, a new project that I will be building myself and updating monthly. Today I showcase Lionheart, the Lineage OS to my Cyanogenmod.
Key Features:
1. Heavily Debloated System: The debloat script that was made by me, has over 250+ debloated permissions, apks and other files.
2. Better Battery Performance due to Efficiency - With the removal of an incredible amount of bloat, along with better performance and lesser services, you should be looking at better SOTs and better standby times.
3. Kernel Power Control: With MTweaks and Magisk, you will be able to control your device’s clock speed and be able to force higher GPU and CPU Clock, when doing more intensive tasks such as gaming.
4. Better Kernel Performance - Due to the deepness of the debloat, the kernel now has more RAM and more space to be more efficient and allow it to focus on less threads at once.
5. Current October Patch with the promise of updates every month - Every month an update is released, the ROM will be updated along with it, with a time frame of 1-2 weeks.
6. Restored some stock Google Permissions - Some stock google framework was restored, such as the default setup wizard.
7. All Essential Samsung Features have been kept - All essential OneUI features have been kept alive, for the sole purpose of necessity.
8. Completely Deknoxed -The ROM has been Deknoxed and FRP lock measures have been disabled
9. VoLTE Supported
Individual Features:
1. AdAway
2. Eleven Music
3. Files GO
4. GBoard
5. Android Pie AOSP Emojis
6. Lightheart X Boot Animation
7. AOSP System Sounds
8. Samsung Gallery (Stripped Down and lightened to improve performance)
9. Samsung's Stock Camera with HDR parameter changes, debloated and additional video modes
10. SystemUI Tuner (Provides battery stats along with other useful customizations - Check QS icons and add it to QS Panel to view)
11. YouTube Vanced (Ad-free Youtube)
12. Mtweaks (Has Hardware Control - Similar to Kernel Adiutor but more tailored to Exynos)
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: (Backup everything, including contacts etc.)
1. Download the zip and download the latest Magisk (ROM will not boot if Magisk is not flashed due to encryption procedures)
2. Wipe System, Data, Dalvik Cache and Cache
3. Flash the zip and flash Magisk.
Notes:
- To view Battery Stats and Storage, pull down the Quick Settings Panel and on the top right click the three bubbles button and then Button Order. Then move the new Battery and Storage icon to the Quick Settings.
- Set Trebuchet as default launcher, for better battery savings. OneUI Home was only included for its app switcher.
Changelog:
1.0 - Initial Release
If changes are made, they will be highlighted in the next post.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

Really respect what do you do. keep moving bro.
Can you add samsung account to restore data from last rom.
The op promised monthly updates. It's been two months, and he/she still hasn't replied to the request made 6 days after this was posted. This thread should be considered abandoned and locked. I've about given up hope for this phone, been waiting for a long time for some real activity in the custom roms - it's apparent that's not going to happen.
Cyanogen sucks for this phone anyway (no offense intended to the devs that spend the time trying to give us something better, just stating a fact), it takes all the features away that make this phone stand out. What you end up with is a Motorola that says samsung on the front.

Edit::: this isn't cyanogen. I must have got mixed up with the last thread i was reading. I've been reading note fe rom threads for a few hours now, it's all starting to blend together...

Edit::: it IS cyanogen!! I'm going to take it for a spin anyway, maybe this dev got it right.
Props for giving us another option. I wasn't a fan of project pixel, but that's only because I don't like pixel. You did good work there. I'll post for others what I find.
stabil and good working... THXX
Hi, are you thinking new upgrade?
Sory for my english is bad
Call recorder work but volte and edge panel isn't work
great ROM
This ROM is now sadly discontinued, due to a lack of time and due to the fact that I no longer have time, nor own the device thus making my job that little bit harder. Thankyou everyone for using it though, and hope you find a better one. Link to the ROM will be left up however, for whoever needs it.
