The black rubber (adhesive) started coming off at the side of the screen - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi everyone!
The black rubber (adhesive) started coming off at the side of the screen of my p30 pro through normal use.
Is this just normal? Will this affect the "waterproofness" of my phone? And does anybody here has the same situation I have?

It's not really that big, I'm just a bit worried maybe this could no longer fully protect my phone from dust and water anymore.

I'll just type the url of the photo manually:
postimg dot cc/8syrVzt7

I read it doesn't matter, the seal is much bigger on the inside.

Thankss... You lower my anxiety level

I wouldn't be happy with that if it was my device. These are flagship, expensive phones. Warranty job I think.

Yeah, it's quite disappointing. Maybe I'll just send my phone to the service center just to be sure.

Adhesive coming off the bottom of P30pro screen
Hi Tony,
Any update on what the folks at the service had to say on this. Becuase I too have a similar situation with a adhesive like portion coming out from the bottom of the screen.
Thanks

Same problem. Black rubber coming off the edge of Huawei p30
I bought Huawei p30 less than a month ago and the black rubber is coming off the edge.
It's screen cracked badly after it fell of the bed once.
Disappointed with its quality.
Any suggestions about what can be done?

[Q] Scratched Phone

Hello xda-developers,
I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy mini. The problem is that its screen is scratched (I really don't know how did this happen). Does anyone have any idea to make them disappear? Here is a picture of my phone.

Thanks for your replies.
Hello guys,
Thanks for your replies. I realised that I need to change the front cover of my phone. I can find one from ebay but the problem is that I don't know how to do that. I heard that it is dangerous to damage your phone. Can somebody suggest a site where I can get more information about that? Thanks in advance.
any mobile accessories shop owner will replace it
It costs too much!
Well I went to the samsung service and he needs 50 euros! It's too expensive can you suggest any other idea?

i'm sure that google will help you with finding needed info
according to Indian price it should only cost 2-4 euros
I think I'm going to fix it by another way.
I asked another service about it and he needs 35 euros. Well it's still expensive and I am afraid I will not fix it. If you guys can tell me another idea otherwise I'll give it up.
I really hate those scratches, they are so annoying.
just use some whitening toothpaste and microfibre cloth, rub small amount of toothpaste on the scratch in circular motion. it will take a lot of time, but i assure you that it will work. and it have to be microfibre.
Hm I'll try that but will this do any damage on my phone's screen?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
It didn't work.
I tried to remove the scratches with toothpaste but it didn't work.
I am gonna do that by myself.
I am gonna risk it and change the front cover of my phone by myself. I've seen videos on youtube on how to do it so I think if I follow carefully the instructions on how to do it I'll succeed.
Thanks for your help guys!

Hello forum
I am a Google Nexus 7 user, who accidently dropped the gadget and now the screen is broken. I can see the function inside working all well, no discolouration or tilt or anything else, but the touch is not working anymore. Anyone can suggest a fix ? Because I got it imported in India, so the warranty probably is not applicable in India, besides I don't think hardware damage is covered under warranty.
Any help would be appreciated.
I already miss this amazing device, an ebook reader, a gaming console, a perfect friend.

The smooth back matte panel can easily get damaged, a case is a good idea on this phone, but the most annoying flaw, and I'm guessing its hardware since the GNEX had the same issue and it did not get fixed with software updates. Compared to the N4 is quite noticable.

Am I reading this right? You were expecting the easily damaged back panel of the GNex to get fixed with a software update?

Smidge on camera lens. How to fix this?

Hello all,
I just noticed a dark spot when I'm taking a picture. First I thought the lens was just dirty but after cleaning it is still there.
Anybody experienced something like this? And more importantly how to fix this.
Sadly, I have no warranty so I cant send it to Sony.
You can change the lens, which means changing the back cover, which means you'll loose waterproofness if Sony doesn't do it.
The lens is plastic and can't be fixed, you can also remove this plastic lens with a needle apparently and continue using the camera, though this will also compromise the waterproofing.
This has been discussed in another thread if you want more details.

Yeah i've seen the other threads but those where more spots in the lens. I naively hoped that my situation was different. Oh well there goes the waterproof part.

You can buy some third party stickers to glue the back cover to the phone. They look like this:

}
I'll also glue mine with silicone gel along with said sticker when the time comes.

Oh wow never heard of that. Thnx for the tip!
This is unbelievable, I changed the whole backcover and the smidge is still there see http://imgur.com/XbUDQsA
Edit: I opened the phone again and took a picture without the back cover and it appears that the actual camera lens is causing the smidge.

S View cover for galaxy note 8

Hello everyone,
Do you know if there's a compatible S View cover (window cover) for our phone?
I know that the last phone who officially got one was the galaxy S7

It's amazing what a search in Google brings up https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/m...ote8-s-view-flip-cover--black-ef-zn950cbegus/
I have the blue version and it's great! OK it doesn't have the cut out window but you can see the screen through the cover.

I think you got me wrong... I know about the official cover like the clear view cover and the led view cover, and I did a lot of research to maybe find my answer but I got none. That's why I'm asking my question here in the hope of having an answer.
I know that the cut out window brings a lot of fonctionalities.

You can try with unofficial ones (if they exist) but from Samsung, no ones are available.

All I've been able to do is answer/decline a call from the outside. Sucks, but I wanted the screen coverage, in addition to a screen protector. I've had S View cases on every Note since the N3. Hate this. Also hate having to perform magic just to use S Note (and avoid Samsung Notes).
Really don't understand dumbing the Note series down as far as they have :/
