K20 Pro Chinese > Indian Firmware flashing - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Hey Folks,
I unlocked bootloader on my K20 pro CN.
I downloaded Indian fastboot 10.3.3.0
Ready to flash, just need to confirm one details.
I know I shouldn't clean and lock. But what do I select of the other two options? Clean all or save user data?
Anything else I should be careful about?
Thanks

Choose clean all since you are switching rom version, and don't forget to backup your personal data before flashing.

Have you modded the updater script. It won't flash straight out of the box.

My Bad ! It's other way around. Flashing CN ROM on Indian Device. Just use the Mi Flash and flash as usual.

Thanks for the fast reply. Guess I'll give up nfc payment to flash the Indian rom . This Chinese rom has too much bloatware to deal with.....
With so many rom floating around , can I know where is the link to the official Indian rom that provide ota ?
And no locking of bootloader once flashed....right ??

Yes, you won't have NFC feature on India Rom. You Cannot lock your bootloader (choose clean all. Always check before clicking the flash button since clean all and lock is miflash default setting).
Here is the India Rom link:

Do it! Absolutely worth it, after dealing with CN rom for few weeks I am absolutely loving Indian Global. Lets hope we will get another global rom with Mi 9t Pro release at 20th where nfc will work as well

The waiting time to unlock bootloader is finally over......now that it's unlock. After flashing twrp, doing that power and volume button ...it keep getting to mi recovery page -_- , what am i doing wrong here.
Problem resolved, first boot after flashing twrp will have to be directly into twrp. Miui UI recovery will overwrite it if you dont do that....and after that, i flashed Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_02.04.2019.
Now everything i do that up Power + volume button , it lead to twrp.

You have a phone that came with an unofficial/fake global ROM. OTA won't work.
Your options are to install an official ROM or a known reputable custom ROM.
Official ROMs will have OTA working, custom ROMs will need you to update them manually.

You can flash official Chinese or Indian ROMs. The Indian ROM is more or less a global ROM, but disables the NFC. The Chinese ROM only has Chinese and English languages, but setting English you will still find the occasional Chinese text creep in. Also it has more ads in system apps.
If you need NFC and want to stay on official ROMs, then it's Chinese. If you can live without NFC then the Indian ROM is a better option, it has the POCO launcher that includes an app draw, you'll not get any Chinese text and there's a lot less ads.
This post has the links for official ROMs, the second post in the thread gives a guide for installing.

Yes you can, if you'll use fastboot ROM DO NOT clean all and lock. Only check CLEAN ALL.

No, you can not change to a different region with stock recovery. You need to unlock the bootloader and flash the Chinese fastboot ROM with the Mi Flash Tool.

Mi9 Transparent Edition question

Hi Guys!
I already searched on this forum and couldn't reach a conclusion.
Never had a Xiaomi device berefore. I bought a Mi9 transparent edition from China, It will arrive next week, but I would like to know:
Can I flash global ROM? It has Chinese ROM.
Can I flash Mi9 standard AOSP based ROMs?
Thanks.

Yes you can, since it is Chinese version it already has bootloader unlocked, so it's even easier to install whatever you want

Don't lock bootloader with global ROM or you will hard brick your device.

Ok, so can I really flash xiaomi.eu/ROS/Globe without any risk? I am afraid of bricking it, I don't think I have warranty support on my country since it is a chinese version phone and I saw that the it is almost unbrickable.

Hi all,
I have à mi 9t pro europian version, I'm always with miui11
So I want to flash the global version into it via twrp

Question How to get back MIUI dialer for call recording?

On my previous Xiaomi phone I had MIUI dialer and call recording was flawless without announcement. On the Redmi Note 12 Pro there's no MIUI dialer but only the Google dialer. I tried to install MIUI dialer apk but it won't even open.
For Google dialer there's call recording announcement and it won't even record the calls from our contacts unless we specifically add individual numbers in the contact list to be recorded which is not at all practical since I've more than a thousand contacts with multiple numbers.
So I'm badly in need of a workaround. Any ideas please? Is it possible to get the MIUI dialer installed and working on Redmi Note 12 Pro?

I read somewhere that China ROMs are not multi-language, I thought of loading the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Turkey or Russia ROM which should be multi-language, I'm Italian ;-)
Hello,
Virustotal says miflash tool has TrojanDownloader.Banload.bqfo which is a banking trojan, I tested other versions and same results, isn't there a tool served by the xiaomi domain?
