Hissing Sound from Earpiece in Mi A2 - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

I am experiencing a high frequent but low volume hissing sound from my earpiece. Especially at night, when the environment is very quiet, it is noticeable. I guess it is somehow related to the proximity sensor, when I cover it with my finger the hissing stops und when I release the finger it starts again. But it can also start/stop completely randomly. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? I am on most recent software (August 2019) but the issue is present since I have been using the phone in June. (Phone is completely stock, bootloader locked)

Strange speaker issue

My mi3 is only 5days old . it's running Android 4.4
MIUI version 4.12.5(beta)
When I'm playing music from the speaker it makes a strange buzzing noise. Even the ring tone makes same kind of noise. But if I play music with power amp it's almost unnoticeable. If I turn the speaker on while on FM radio also the buzzing notice becomes unnoticeable and sound is clear. Wonder this is a hardware issue or software issue. Anybody else facing the same issue?
It was found out to be a blown out speaker. I got a replacement with the warrenty.

Oneplus 3T changes volume (normalizes) during gameplay

Hi,
I have a weird problem with the 3T where while playing games the volume (on the speaker) fluctuates every once in a while, it looks like the OS is trying to normalize the volume with louder noises, so it will turn it down to the point when you can't hear anything and then turn it up again so it's loud enough that I have to turn it down manually.
Does anyone else have the same problem and has a solution?
It's rooted with OxygenOS 3.5.3
No sound modifying apps installed etc unless some of them do it 'undercover'
I noticed this too while playing Ingress. The sounds that play when ADA speaks to you were fluctuating in volume, but only for specific lines. I haven't noticed it anywhere else yet, but it was 100% reproducible.

Ear speaker issue

Hi, I'm having a problem with my newly purchased A2. When I make a call the ear speaker does not work, I activate and deactivate the loudspeaker or headphones and there the ear speaker works. The problem happened in Oreo and Pie. I wanted to know if something else happens to someone else or is the hardware that is wrong.
Thanks!
Yes I am facing the same problem, after the OS Update, the earpiece of my Xiaomi Mi A2 mobile has stopped working.
(ignore, upon closer reading the issue appears to be different -- the earpiece starts working upon toggling the loudspeaker, something which didn't happen in my case)

very low volume in earpiece after Sept/Oct Pixel 4XL update

anyone else experiencing this with their Pixel 4XL or Pixel for that matter after updating to the Sept and Oct updates? prior to this, making calls the max volume for phone calls was nice and loud, however after updating to Android 11 with the Sept and Oct updates, the max volume is not audible at all outdoors. if I switch to speaker, that's fine. any suggestions?
yea noticed that too... I hate it when google plays with that...same happened on p3xl always too, often had the problem that earpiece went much quieter...then back to nearly normal again... then again an update with less volume on earpiece
