This works for me, but is temperamental and doesn't always record. I have the developer looking into it at the moment.

I think I know why it doesn't always record.
check out Protected Apps in Batter manager, keep it protected and it'll work fine.
Other side voice weak or loud recently purchase boldbeast its work well but other side voice is very low or weak.

Many users of Huawei P9 and P9 Plus with Android 6.0 EMUI 4.1 have problems using call recording sw (p.e.: ACR and Boldbeast Call Recorder). It seems that Huawei doesn't support 2 way call recording on the last ROM (see boldbeast forum topic 1214). Is it possible to reach a new solution?
I purchased ACR call recorder . it's working fine . but other side voice is very low . hope huawei will bring back to way voice recording in next update .

Boldbeast Recorder V8.7 is the solution.
We'll release V8.7 within several days. At this moment you can download the test version V8.7d from our web site, Huawei P9, P9 Plus, P9 Lite, Mate 8, Mate S, Honor 8, P8, P8 max, P8 lite, Honor 7, 6, 5, 4 etc with the latest ROM now work great, no root needed.

I installed this two days ago. That record button that's supposed to appear on the call screen, disappeared after the first call. Then again came back, recorded a second call, then disappeared for good and deleted the other recording.

u should include the application in the protected app
total recall (call recorder) works great after putting in protected apps list

Any call recorder apps to recommend?
I've tried Automatic Call Recorder and Call Recorder - ACR, as well as Boldbeast but they are only able to record my side of the conversation.
Previously in my Z3, I could record both sides of the convo.
Am wondering if any of you have call recording apps that you are using?
I suspect you have a settings problem, so try the various options in the app(s) - this article covers the issue & could help:

Call recorder-yellow one- and in settings select MIC 2. Good luck !

Huawei P9, P9 Plus, P9 Lite, Mate 8, Mate 7, Mate S, P8, P8 Max, P8 Lite, P7, P6, G8, G7, Honor 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 etc work great, recorded calls were crystal clear in two sides, even with the latest ROM.
No root needed, just install the app and go.
The built in video stabilizer for the Google Photos app does wonders but every time I save it it says "Unable to save changes".
I'm using the regular Mate 10 and this is very disappointing. Any way to fix it?

Good news, the latest OTA updates for the EMUI 9.0.1 (Android 9) have fixed this issue in the Google Photos app. I can stabilse

Yes, but after last update Google Photo It became markedly worse: the video floats and very strongly visible convex jelly-effect. Earlier such was not...
