[REQUEST][ROOT] framework-res.apk from one of the latest versions of MIUI - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hello Mi 9 friends,
would anyone be able to extract his/hers framework-res.apk and upload it?
I'm running Pixel Experience on my Mi 9 and I'd like to check some settings in this file to see if some improvements can be made on Pixel Experience.
Root is needed.
Only if you have one of these MIUI versions:
EEA V10.2.28.0+
Global V10.2.13.0+
China V10.2.31.0+
Xiaomi.eu 9.6.13+
The path should be/system/framework/framework-res.apk
Use the following command to extract:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk %USERPROFILE%\Desktop
If you don't have adb and/or fastboot, download them here
Thank you very much for the help!

No need guys, I found this amazing repo with dumps from lots of Android phones (Mi9 included). If you need the one for the Mi 9, here's the direct link. Hope ROM maintainers/developers will find this useful.

[Help] Issues with installing any ROMs. Mi NOTE (Virgo)

I bought a second hand phone MI NOTE (virgo) and i am new in the World of Xiaomi and MIUI. I can tell that the phone is running a China ROM, specifically ROM version MIUI 16.3.6.0 (KXECNBL) Stable. It contains lots of useless apps and well apps that are fully running in chinese language, so i wanted to flash a different ROM. After some researches and tries, i have failed to flash a stable nor dev Global ROM. The ROMs that i tried are located here en. miui. com/download-262. html#366 (just remove the spaces and add http) . I have tried the System update, Recovery update and the Fastboot update but failed in all of it. I always get the "Install update.zip signature verification failed" in the Recovery update, holding down Volume down (-) and power only power on/off loops the device and not open the fastboot, and in the system update, there are no three dots where an option to update is present. I am now running android 4.4.4. I am from the Philippines btw, first owner said phone came from China. Can someone help me to just flash an android 6 stable and global rom? Also please excuse me in advance if i ask a lot of basic questions.
Here is a forum for the MI Note Pro. You can find a lot about MIUI also on en.miui

Redmi 9 with NFC - which ROM can I download?

Finding the right ROM is confusing as there are many variants of the Redmi 9.
I want to unlock and root my phone but I understand I need to find the right MIUI ROM so I can patch the boot.img.
I have a Redmi 9 with NFC and these are the current details direct from my phone:
MIUI Version: Miui Global 11.0.9 Stable V11.0.9.0(QJCEUXM)
Android Version: 10 QP1A.190711.020
Model: M2004J19AG
The closest I can find is for the Redmi 9 EEA
https://c.mi.com/thread-3225794-1-0.html
Does this ROM support NFC?
If you look closely at the wording in the download link, this ROM is for codename "Lancelot" phones
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V11.0.9.0.QJCEUXM/miui_LANCELOTEEAGlobal_V11.0.9.0.QJCEUXM_239fd3ba13_10.0.zip
However I am a little confused as my understanding is phones with code name "Lancelot" do not have NFC but my model (M2004J19AG) with NFC is code name "Galahad". Can someone please clarify if this is the correct ROM or which ROM I can download?
I have the same device, ive downloaded the last rom version with updater and have used this for root.

Thanks, I was able to go to System Update on the phone and found the option to re-download ROM. I didn't realise you could download the same ROM if you were already at that version.
I found the rom file in the "downloaded_rom" folder in the phone and it has the same name as the one I found on Mi.com (in my original post):
miui_LANCELOTEEAGlobal_V11.0.9.0.QJCEUXM_239fd3ba13_10.0.zip
So this one for the Redmi 9 EEA must support my model as NFC is working.

Since our device still no TWRP Support, i will give you a simple guide how to root redmi 9 using magisk. Original guide is here Big Thanks to N3OMOD :good::good::good: EDIT: NO FORMAT DATA REQUIRED BUT BACKUP ALWAYS RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENT : -...

I saw your post in that thread where you indicated that it worked on your phone. So I tried it and it worked for my Phone. I have Root now.

I use, and recommend XiaomiADBFastbootTools - find it by searching Github.
There are many others but this one is the safest, and the easiest to use (after you have jumped the Java hurdle).

Question TWRP for k40 gaming [china version] [Android12]

I need some help here...
I want a TWRP file recovery in k40 gaming china version [Android 12]
I've been searching a lot but can't find it Because it's unofficial
My device have Miui13.0.7 and rooted by magsik
and thankssss a lot
You can find it on the mifirm website by searching for your Poco F3 GT/Redmi K40 Gaming (Ares) model.
If you mean it's official, it probably won't be, but it should work, in general TWRP still doesn't support Android 12 so don't expect to see internal storage.
If you want to be root user, you don't need that.
i managed to compile the chinese version of twrp which before this can only be used by using a chinese windows program and and i updated the certain files. This version can be directly flashed via twrp or fastboot. This can only be used for android 12, not compatible with android 11.

Question How do I get the Theme store on my device?

My experience with MIUI is pretty bad but I want to cover it up with a new theme because I've heard MIUI is known for out of the world themes. I'm on the Global ROM and I have no Theme store on my device. I tried installing the GetApps apk but that didn't do anything either. Why is everything region locked? Which region do I need to switch to to actually use the Theme store?
settings - apps - uninstalled system-apps

It was never on my device to begin with. I didn't uninstall it. Also it's not in there anyway.

otherwise they made an update of miui 13 global for spes device, because there is more missing in spes-rom than in spesn global rom.

Forget it. At this point I've just decided to switch to Evolution X.
Thank you for the information, though!
To add to the record, some MIUI ROMs, on modded versions, have the Chinese Theme store, that it's not good at all, for a lot of people, even the Global Theme Store has no good themes, it's hard to find one, so actually I'm just using .mtz themes, and apply them with an app like MTZ tester, there are some sites where you can get from, so you won't miss the Theme Store at all.

I just wanted it because there was no way to change the shape of the icons for me. I'm just going to switch to a custom ROM because MIUI has a lot of stupid bugs for me, and the fact that Xiaomi has removed basic features from Android.

I'm pretty sure that changing the region, will work, you could see through out the root system path if the Theme Store app is there (no root needed). Anyway, I also switched to a custom ROM (ArrowOS), it lacks of some features from Miui but the fast it brings, worth it.

I switched from Evo X on another phone to MIUI on spes, and I've only noticed a lack of features. There is nothing in this version of MIUI that adds good features onto Android, in my opinion.
