Nope, that's not likely that extracting a single apk file will do the work.
Try go launcher and install Touchwhiz theme. It's almost same. Use different Themechooser themes too, if you are on cyanogenmod.

it should work on all devices...

You should also search touchwizzedb cm7 in the market a great theme who lokks like the s2 for cm7 i like it

With last stock firmwares and no root, you can not install non Asus themes.

Now that Asus has allowed third party themes I was able to finally get this working on my phone... amazing job!
I just have one tiny issue to pick on with the bluetooth button in the pulldown... when it's off it doesn't follow the same visual theme as the rest of the buttons, which lead to initial confusion as to whether or not bluetooth was actually on.
Otherwise, I'm extremely impressed with all the work... Keep it up!

Well the Verizon system dump is already out . that's why I thought may be someone could do the needful . a version for g3 is already out ported by a member

The launcher is working out of box ish none lg phones. So it can be ported easier to sprint g4 and work better since most stuff is broken on non lg phone

Can you tell how this has to be used.
I do t wish to be rendered without a launcher if at all anything gets messed up.
So ideally would like to backup my current launcher and then Install or push the new one, as you ll suggest

You can download another temp launcher from market just to make sure.
And rename old launcher to lghome.apk. it will disable the old apk and make it "not installed"

It's just a layer, install and reboot. Go to menu>settings>display>nav bar>select apply current theme.
