I think they disable that option because it wasn't "smart " enough to detect if you were driving, a passenger or even on a train.
There are two options to enable DnD (do not disturb). None is a native option. First, like I do, install android auto and set the bluetooth device. The second one is an app named driving inspector.
Hope it helps.

It is possible to "copy" the native options from my S7 edge?
I want this function because I use it every day with no other app installed :/
PS: I searched "driving inspector" on google and play store but I can't find it.

Google Now - No App for notes

When I'm in Google Now I should be able to say "Note to self" to make a reminder in the Todoist (or any other note app).
I have Todoist and Google Keep installed but everytime I try making a note, it tells me that there is no notes app installed.
The command itself is recognized correctly.
Any Ideas?

Working fine here. Possibly you need to change your google AND system language to english (us)
Okay I just changed my languages to German and tried it, I couldn't reproduce your error. See Screenshot. My last idea is that you have to be signed in in your google apps or establish some kind of linkage between now and keep.
Okay problem.fixed: gmail app needs to be installed (god knows why)

I just fixed this error by going to Settings -> Security -> Apps with usage access, and enabling Google Play Services.
This appears to be linked to an app being open that does something with system sound. I get this error occasionally and if I close apps in memory it goes away.
I have noticed this error often when I am using Google Maps for navigation, the phone is "off" (screen off, phone locked, still giving directions - you know), and I say "Ok Google.....Note to Self blah blah blah". Google Now will sometimes show "No notes app installed". But if I immediately say the same thing again ("Ok Google" trigger phrase or pressing the mic button then the "Note to self....") it works without issue. Any suggestions?
A little more info: I'm running Android 6.0.1 on a Nexus 5X on Project Fi
I know this is an old thread, but it shows up in searches...

Same problem, with Wunderlist.
Fixed by going to Security -> Google Services and Preferences -> Sign-in and Security -> Less Secure Apps -> Turn on.

Sound search integration with search bar

I've searched around and haven't seen anything about this. Does anyone know if sound search natively integrates with the search bar and if not is there a way to do it? I'm using Shazam right now but I would love to be able to say "okay Google" from anywhere and tag a song. Thanks!
Are you trying to use Ok Google to tag using the Google Sound search, or use it for Shazam somehow?
Not sure if this will answer your question, but Google Now offers "Ok Google" detection from any screen.
Open Google Now, and visit the Settings.

Go into Voice.
You will have to train your phone to detect your voice to recognize the hot phrase from any screen, including your lock screen.

I would like to use it with either Sound Search or Shazam but I figured since SS is Google it might work easier. I already have okay Google everywhere
You can ask google now "What song's playing?" and it will tell you, and add the result to your sound search history.

Kindle Fire HD 7 2012 version Launcher Debug on startup

Hi
I know mykindle is old but my autistic son uses it and he cannot handle change thus still using it.
I have no idea how this has happened at all. BUt now it seems when I reboot the device, the notifications bit has a notice saying "tap to access launcher debug settings".
When I tap this it takes me to those settings (which I have never seen before in any of the settings area) and I can quit out of it.
Why is this happening and is it a sign of a bigger problem?
Just to be clear, while I do have ADB enabled (in case I brick it and need to use kindle-unbrick in the future) nothing else is unusual. It is not rooted and I have never put a custom rom/system/launcher on it at all.
I can only guess that this change has accurred because either a game I have installed has tweaked something, or, a particular tablet-crash has pushed this into being.
So is it a problem? Can I stop it? Why has it happened?
Any thoughts would be massively appreciated please.
Thank you.
Alex
Hello. Sorry for the late reply. Anyways, I'm happy to help you. I also use a Kindle Fire HD 7 2012, so you can expect the best results. IDK the reason of the problem, it appeared in the same way as yours. But the fix is so simple, take a closer look at it:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Long-tap at the notification (some program appeared at the top, don't pay attention to it):
Tap "Manage Notification", as the arrow above suggests.
So, you must have the same screen, applications may differ. Tap the "Off" toggle in the right corner after the "Launcher", as arrow suggests, and go to the home screen. When you will look at notifications, a message must disappear.
If you experience any further problems, let me know. I'll try to respond in my free time.
And thank you for posting the question, without it I couldn't solve it (really).
Have a nice day!

It's works! Thank you very much!

You're welcome. It's a cool apk that uses almost no power.
This is one reason you buy Samsung, customization. Hundreds of free themes and icon packs too. The stock launcher is faster, more stable and efficient than any of the 3rd party ones... plus very customizable.
iPhones are such plain Jane's
Yes, you are right. Anyway, I solve most of the customization with gravitybox and firefds modules, since I have root.
A little plus information for EU users: The Good Luck app is not available in the Galaxy Store due to region restrictions.
If you still install the apk from elsewhere (eg. apkmirror), it will display an error message after start.
The solution: install a free vpn app (eg. protonvpn), remove the sim card from your phone, force shutdown and delete data + clear cache in the galaxy store app (+ and if you have already installed it in the Good Luck app), set up a vpn connection via wifi to make the connection target US.
Launch the Galaxy Store and now you can find Good Luck and use it!

Yes, you can easily disable it within the Google app settings. Follow these instructions.
Open the Google app.
Tap on More at the bottom right.
Navigate to Settings > General.
Turn off the "Discover" toggle.
Congrats! Now it shall be disabled.
Also, please use the English language as it will be much easier for people to understand your question and help you. If you're unable to post in English, use an online translator.
I have Discover turned off and the tab continues to show up
Ah, I think you mean that Google is showing up if you swipe left on the home screen past page 1.
This is how to do it for most phones:
Tap and hold on your home screen and select "Home settings" from the pop-up.
Look for the "Show Google App" toggle and disable it on the next screen.
Pretty easy, huh?
Unfortunately, I don't have that option. If someone had or has realme 8, please advise me on how to get rid of the Google window by swiping to the left

Bro just use any third party launcher from playstore. Or disable/uninstall Google app by your pc using adb shell.
