What version of Oxygen? I have the OxygenOs Framework.apk 4.1.6 Beta 10.
I do not know if it will work or work for you, the Apk has a mod of iOS 11 Animations, I will send it to you and if you do not tell me.

All you need is to download the apk and intall it - reboot - and in the dailer enable the call recorder option.

I think if you just decompile apk and migrate to Android 10 (SDK 29) it could also install on EMUI 10, at the moment could not install on EMUI 10

Tried that, it still didn't work, I ended up rolling back to emui 9 then install call recorder then updating to 10 again.

It's accesable without root rights 4 example with total commander or any other file manager
It's possible to download Chinese firmware from firmware finder then use Huawei Update Extractort to extract HwCallRecorder apk..?
Someone with Huawei P40 needs to access this file location, will be so helpful

With the P40 Pro someone shared such apk which can be installed on the international models and activate the native call recording features.

UPDATED! Official Call Recorder for EMUI 10.0, 10.1 and 11.0.
UPDATE: New link for EMUI 11 call recorder added. Great for Mate 40 Pro owners. So sadly the official Huawei Call Recorder app no longer worked if you upgraded to 10.1. It only worked under 9.0 and if you upgraded to 10.0. Over on XDA there is a

Thanks for the hint but this is for older models( with EMUI 10). Mate 40 Pro can't be downgraded because it already came with EMUI 11. I hope someone shares the apk soon.

Unfortunately it doesn't. :/
Only models which could go back to 10.1 could downgrade, install it and then upgrade to 11.
