Bootloader unlocked not rooted NFC pay not working - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

I unlocked my bootloader just before the pie update s. I noticed my bank NFC pay stopped working around this time. At this time I don't really need the bootloader unlocked. Is there any harm relocking my bootloader? or possible bricking? If I leave it unlocked how can I hide my unlocked bootloader by rooting ?

This is pretty bad if your bank app thinks that phone is 'rooted' just because BL was unlocked.
If you didn't do anything else (Recovery, eRecovery, Ramdisk, Kernel are still stock), you can relock BL, no harm, it will just Factory reset once again (prepare back-ups)
AFAIK, installing Magisk does not hide from apps that BL was unlocked

Thank you for your response. All are still stock. I just unlocked it a while ago to remove emergency broadcast but did it through ADB instead. No need at this time to be unlocked. Thanks again.

Bootloader says relocked

Okay this is a really stupid question, but I unlocked my bootloader last week and planned on rooting it today. When I enter the bootloader, it says "relocked" instead of "unlocked" the way I remember having it. If I wanted to root, would I have to unlock it again?
Also once I root, do I have to relocked my bootloader? What are the risks if I don't?

yes, u need to unlock to root...no, no need to relock...the only reason to ever relock would be to run a RUU (if you're s-on)
Thank you, I'm now fully rooted

unlocked bootloader allows you to flash partition images via fastboot. I have not seen any issues with an unlocked bootloader. Also, update to marshmallow if you can,,,,,cause it has native move to SD if you didnt have it 5.1.1

Le S3...X522 still can't be unlocked?

Still looking for the Le S3 X522 version bootloader unlock, as far as I know it still can't be unlocked, or can it?
Would be nice to have it unlocked.
How does a locked bootloader affect root? I know you can temporarily unlock bootloader, does any of this affect xposed?
Ummm yes... It can be unlocked. I'm running Lineage 7.1.1 on the S3 right now...
Bootloader still cannot be unlocked permanently, only temporary, in other words I can unlock it and flash everything I needed but once it is rebooted it will lock again and in order to flash something it will have to be unlocked again, it has nothing to do with booting into twrp, it might even look like it is flashing but really it will not, maybe some things can be flashed but things that affect system will not.
You don't need to permanently unlock the bootloader. You just unlock it long enough to install twrp. Once you have twrp you can flash whatever you want.

WTF dude.....
You relocked the bootloader with TWRP? You are really lucky to not have a bricked phone.
Unfortunately for you, to replace twrp with stock recovery and get the phone back to stock state you'll have to unlock the bootloader again as we cant do anything with a locked bootloader.
*>Unlock your phone like you did before.
*>Make sure you have twrp installed.
*>Follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
(just don't put image of twrp in the directory since you are aiming to go stock)

I've unlocked and relocked my BL about 10 times with no adverse effects that i can see apart from after relock BL displays 'relocked'. I've also loaded all 3 different versions of TWRP in between and about 4 gsi images. Now back to stock B136 with magisk 17.1 and BL unlocked again with safetynet passing and banking apps working plus google play showing 'certified'. Why does unlocking and rocking BL cause issue? apart from the obvious full wipe required. Isn't it just a software flag getting set and reset? It's a genuine question cause i really don't know.

Boy aren't you lucky. Some guys have a hard time with relocking bootloader.Maybe you are just lucky or they're doing something wrong.
But how did you flash twrp with a locked bootloader?
PS im also having the relocked status in fastboot. Do you think we can make it back to 'Locked'? Just in case of warranty issues.

How to go back to stock and relock the Bootloader?

Hello
i have to sell my device so i want to get it to stock again.
My current Setup:
Bootloader Unlocked, Stock Recovery, Rooted with Magisk, Stock ROM 9.0.0.283
What are the Steps to go Back to Stock and wipe everything?
Ive read that if the bootloader relock again it is not able to unlock the second time? Is this correct? I want to get the Unlock Code to the person who buy it but if its real, he cant use the code anymore..
anyway is it possible to do the job with the Stock E-Recovery in the current state of my phone? Without bootloader Relocked? Or is it necessary to relock the bootloader again?
Thank you very much

Ask the buyer if they want it locked. Personally it wouldn't be worth my time if it couldn't be unlocked again. Better to check first..
If you want to lock (not relock) bl justdownload your adequate firmware from androidhost.ru and flash fw using Usb-otg method.
You can unlock/lock your bl using unlock code anytime you want (provided you haven't changed your mainboard in the meantime).

I thought you wanted to go back to stock. I've already gave you solution to bring back all the way stock.
I m not sure if it's even possible to re-lock bootloader using fastboot when you're on pie.
Bootloader status re-locked still means your warranty is void.

Hey I've tried this otg method but without success
If I try it with the dload folder option and try to force flash the emui updater throws an error.
Even with the dialer code method.. same..
I'm not able to get it to stock.
I've tried the Huawei suite on PC and phone in fastboot mode..same..massage this phone can't be reset or so..
What can I do next?
Current state, halfway working phone that's boot into os 2 times from 10 reboots.
