Yes it is, but sometimes the same game ISN'T available on both devices. Then you're in a pickle! Lol. I did that today. A game wasn't available for the note, I installed it on my SGS2, saved the APK and copied it over (and Dead Space works perfectly No errors, banding, or anything!). Almost all my purchased applications show up, too, directly on the note.

Hi.. Im using this on the note 3 and i bought the app through play store, but what i noticed that this mod is made in a different dpi than note 3 stock dpi which is 480 can you please clarify on that, changing the dpi to 410 or 340 will fix it but it will impact my s-view cover

T Mobile RCS messaging

Is anyone able to get RCS messaging working on their T-Mobile Note 8? Read receipts, see other person responding etc?

I only get RCS when using Samsung stock Messages app. Otherwise, like with Textra, it's just the usual text message.

I'm not even getting it on stock Samsung app. I can't send group messages either, it's really odd

i'm on att prepaid, they dont even offer that. it' only for att post paid. but i getting 6gb data each month with rollever for 36$ a month, i cant complain. 45$ for 6gb data, 5$ off with autopay, buy the prepaid email card at callingmart dot com and get 10% off.

what changed? what did you do to rectify ?

The issue was hat I had ported my number over from Verizon and it wasn't fully ported over. I called the support and they finalized porting the number. Once that was fixed it worked

So a couple of questions.
Would you see RCS working in Android messages too? I dont use the Samsung version but assume it should all work given JIBE and RCS are google initiatives.
Does it work on Verizon? Does it work cross carrier right now?
Does it interoperate to iMessage at all? What about IOS users

It seems it might have some rcs features. You can send your location, live messages /gifs, video up to 10mb.

Does not work on Verizon. At least for the person with the note 8. If you are on TMobile and you send message to another TMobile user on a Samsung device it definitely works

Has anybody been able to disable RCS for Samsung Messages? I'd like to be able to use Pushbullet to send/receive SMS, but messages sent through RCS don't sync on Pushbullet. There don't appear to be any setting for Advanced Messaging or VoLTE anywhere, so the normal ways of disabling this don't seem to be available.

Couldn't I just install the default messaging APK from a TMO note8 on my unlocked version?

Replacement contacts & dialler

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good replacement contact/dialler app for the phone.
I've testing the following but still undecided. The app must support the following
dual sim (prefably also support different ringtones per sim),
must allow ad-free at reasonable price,
must work independently of stock dialler and on a stock unrooted rom.
Must work with smart view case
Has continuing development
Slowly narrowed it down to following choices (no specific order), but has anyone used theses and if so can you provide feedback on then and whether or not the paid services are worth it.

Google's one works pretty well, but usually requires root to work.
I remember Truecaller being handy due to its spam protection. It was also fairly clean.
Don't forget to get a call recorder. They're good for customer service calls. Etc in case you forgot some detail or need to cover your ass. ACR is good for that with Dropbox sync.

Drupe had the vulnerability issues where it was pulled from store, it is back now as they say fixed but still not sure about the app

Tried version other day and it wouldn't install. Just tried latest stable, it installs but seems to have issues so not risking it.

I read that google's dialer now has better spam call filtering. I'd love to use google's dialer, but playstore says its not compatible with P20P.

I read your guide.
I believe you have the China model.
I will be getting the Global Model soon.
I always use Nova launcher. So I have to follow your method to change the launcher or cannot be done by itself like any other phone.
I never had to go through all those steps before when using Nova Launcher.
Also by disabling Asus launcher I may have problems using the other services in the phone, which I don't want.

this method only works for CN version 28/8 or lower
on ww rom you can install launcher and use it no problem, but when you open armory gate it will restore stock launcher as default. you need to select nova as default in setting-applications every time you open armory gate

Honestly using the armory crate is useless. You can activate x mode through settings and or just use the game genie feature without using it. It has some options in there but honestly I've never once used them in the app that I couldn't launch from the left swipe of the screen

Armory crate is far from useless. It has some deep customization settings for the CPU, GPU, IO Scheduler, etc that are usually only available via rooting and a custom kernel!

I tested a demo global unit today and installed Nova launcher.
I made it the default launcher but as soon I launched Armory Crate and exited it, the ASUS default launched returned.
