is video mode supposed to have slight delay? - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

When I switch to video mode and start recording or just looking at screen before I start to record, I dont know how to explain it but i notice a slight delay or lag, like picture is coming late 50-100ms...for example if I move my hand in front of the camera i see its movement delayed.
It happens only in video mode, photo mode and other mods like slow motion, hyperlapse etc. are fine without any delay. Also I tried other camera apps and its fine there also, only video mode in stock camera. I tried disabling video stabilization but no changes. I am on s10, exynos.

Problem with using One and auto recorders like dailyroads voyager/autoguard blackbox

I just purchased the One and tried both dailyroads and autoguard black box. I notice that it gets REALLY choppy when it's dark out. This did not happen with my nexus 4.
I notice that when i'm in the htc camera app, the viewfinder is also choppy when it's dark out, but when i turn on video recording, it's smooth like butter.
It's almost like dailyvoyager and autoblackbox are recording from the camera viewfinder rather than going into the camera's recording mode to record video. Does anyone experience the same thing? Is there a fix?
Try VideoReg. I prefer it over the two you mentioned. I have noticed that often when it starts up the preview will not be automatically in focus for some reason, so go into the settings screen then back out and it works. The developer is getting a One and has a beta that makes the One's HDR video mode available. Should be some good stuff on the way in a month or two.

Dark video recording on 4.4.2 possible fix

Hello!
As many of you have noticed, after updating to 4.4.1 and 4.4.2, a recorded video with stock camera is a lot darker than it was on 4.4. It was done probably to increase framerate at night, but crippled low-light video capability. I have noticed that Camera MX by MAGIX allows recording video with lower framerate in low light, but a lot brighter, almost like it was on 4.4, and in full HD resolution.
Below are two samples
Notice higher framerate but darker image.
Notice lower framerate but brighter image.
Nice find, the 4.4.2 update made the video recording in low light unusable for me really , way to dark

Definitely not a camera sensor issue, since I know and have seen how MY nexus 5 stock camera shot video in low light on 4.4 and how badly it does now on 4.4.2. I reverted back to 4.4 and video in low light is brighter.
There's another repeatable glitch. When switching to Panorama mode in stock camera (not photosphere, panorama) and then to Video recording mode, the image in the viewfinder becomes brighter and stretched, and when you press Record, it reverts to dark video.
Same thing I noticed.
The camera software needs a fix,so as immersive mode bugs.

Front Camera Video Mode zooms itself and its really bad

Hi i noticed that in front camera,
It zooms when I enter video mode. It looks more far from me but it gets very close when i enter video mode.
By doing this it really screws angle of the recorded area.
How can i fix it ?

Mi9 camera issues - 1080p 30fps stabilized video recording freezing.

Hello people, I have my mi9 since 3 days and I really love it. It's a great phone, but today I found wierd bug in camera app. I recorded with 1080p 30fps with stabilization on. After few seconds of recording phone freezes, but audio recording is still going, after a while it resumes. Video like that is kinda unusable. What's more when I'm in camera app on video tab sometimes it freezes just on viewport, without even recording. Does anyone have similar issues? Any help would be appreciated.
Here is a link to bugged videos (I'm new so I can not use link tags yet, sorry for inconvinience):

This may be too late, but I had similar problems with the camera app freezing when image stabilization was enabled at 30fps. In the end I discovered that some sensors were not functioning at all (gyro, magnetic, light and compass); My guess is that at least first two feed info to the stabilization algorythm.
I managed in the end to solve the problem by flashing a xiaomi eu rom from twrp.

Question Video Stabilisation at 10x Zoom - anyone else noticed or can reproduce a "wobble effect"?

With my previous phones (S7 and S9+), I found video stabilisation did more harm than good. With the S21 Ultra, it actually does a very good job stabilising video when moving.
However, I've disabled video stabilisation by default even on the S21 Ultra now. I rarely record video while moving, so there isn't much benefit in my context, and there can actually be a lot of "harm". One example of this is when recording video with the 10x zoom lens - I've noticed significant "wobble" effect when switching to this lens. It's hard to describe, but it's as if the whole picture/video is "wobbling" and distorting when using this lens. This only occurs when video stabilisation is enabled and only with the 10x Zoom lens (I think I may have noticed it on the 3x Zoom lens a few months ago too). When disabled, this issue goes away.
Can anyone else reproduce this? You may need to test in different lighting conditions - I find it's most noticeable with outdoor lighting. A separate issue is what I would describe as "micro-jitters" appearing when video stabilisation is enabled.
Same here, I don't recall having this issue when first purchased.
This was always present for me. And I always thought it is normal...
