No. I'm not. What's it to you?
It pisses me off to have misleading posts.

This is both. Good thing I don't own this device, else I'd care even more.
Now go troll along while I report this thread.

Hey, I was reading your pet peeves. How about when people say "should of" or could of" instead of "should have" or "should've". That one gets me.
Sorry off topic, not like there's much to add to this thread when the bootloader is locked. BTW, has the bootloader lock been officially confirmed?

how much does it cost? Apparently you need to purchase a pack of 30 "setool2 credits". The price for that is $90 USD.
https://support.setool.net/showthre...Y-SETOOL-AND-SETOOL-CREDITS-LIST-OF-RESELLERS
But the unlocking process only requires 2 credits ...
I am interested to buy a "3-pack". Is it possible to purchase smaller packs?

It's the setool website, but the tool itself is called Ntool which is developed by the_laser, who gave out the 100 free unlocks for testing pruposes.

This thread was meant for users that are familiar with the unlock process. In short to unlock the phone you need to use the ntool, but during the unlock process this tool charges "2 setool2 credits", which is roughly $6 USD .
That price it is acceptable, and I am trying to find a way to purchase those credits. However, I can find only packs with 30 credits (roughly $90). But I was (am) hoping somebody found a way to purchase those credits in smaller quantities ("3-pack").
But I am already giving up hope, and thinking about buying an unlockable Moto phone instead (thinking about getting the z3 play).

It's not. Unlocking process is still under confirmation process for our device. I haven't seen anyone who did this.
Also, author of TWRP topic clearly writes that this isn't confirmed to work and further discussion in that topic shows that even more.

Is there any working method (free or paid) for unlocking the bootloader of P20 Pro?

Hi everyone!
I am wondering if there is still a way for unlocking the bootloader of P20 Pro.
Basically, as you might already know, Huawei has removed the "bootloader unlock" page from its website. The paid service (DU-Unlocker) also does not have the device listed in its supported models.
Is there any working method now in 2019 whether it is free or paid or as a service that can unlock the bootloader of this device?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
I used this guy on eBay:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/fonzdirect
It took him a few days to do it, but it worked great!
Cheers
Steve

Hello, pardon me for inquiring further if you truly meant bootloader unlock code for p20 pro from "fonzdirect" on ebay, the seller you mentioned, as he does not provide bootloader unlock codes. His service only unlocks the SIM card to be used on other mobile phone carriers outside of U.K. "02 network", Vodafone, and perhaps others. I did not find his store to provide the service in which this thread is referencing. For the sake of accuracy, might you be conflating the two?
I have paid MinistryofSolutions the 30Euros on Christmas Day for the p20 pro bootloader unlock; however, that was the week his unlock services went down. I was refunded my money that same afternoon and have noticed the website reflect his no longer being able to provide the codes. I cannot justify paying a cent more for FunkyHawaii for what I will use it for. I simply want VoLTE and VoWiFI to be enabled on AT&T through property flags. Cheers.

Anyone tried HalabTech?
I've never dealt with them before and I don't want to risk paying to mess up my phone.
I'm not allowed to post links but googling "halabtech p20 pro bootloader" should get you there if you feel rich and brave.

Coming from rooting Samsungs, this seems all confusing and difficult for me.

Up to you. I'd at least buy the code now if you're thinking about doing it in the future, as they might become unavailable again.
If you do decide to unlock it and are worried about voiding the warranty or whatever... you can always just flash a firmware via USB method. This automatically relocks the bootloader and no one will know it was ever unlocked. I've tested this myself.

New MI 9 Bootloader Unlock and first steps Recommendations

Hi All,
Its been a while since I have seen a need to unlock a bootloader on an Android Phone. I have just managed to snag a good deal on a MI 9 128gb via eBay. So pretty chuffed with that as the Spec of the Phone looks good.
My understanding is that I need to register an account with Xiaomi to get the bootloader unlocked. I have seen several people on here saying there they have tried different ways register their account and their devices.
What is the proper way that gives the least amount of time to wait ?
I think my device will have the Global Rom. Is this best one to stick with as I am based in the UK ?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks, in advice.
