How to Update to MIUI 11 - China Beta | Officially - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

What do you get if you use a MIUI China Beta with weekly OTA updates?
Built-in AdBlock browser, Mi secure keyboard, nice interface feel - just the Chinese ROM only works quickly and smoothly. Another plus is the built-in root and weekly OTA updates
So there is not much reason not to update now MIUI 11!
The beta version is very stable and can be used perfectly in everyday life.
You also earn weekly OTA updates...
-----------
I want to mention that I made a dirty flash on the last beta of China ROM | 9.9.3
And I had no problems. Built root works, Magisk work and etc... Everything is perfect.
After the update to MIUI 11, check for a new update ... Currently the latest version is 9.9.26 | Beta
-----------
How to do it:
1. First install WeChat

Can you confirm if this build have the api 2.0 enabled.
its the only thing that put me away from miui since all the builds for this devices is not api 2.0 enabled
also i tried using magisk on eu roms and official builds and editing the build.prop manually to activate the api 2.0 but no luck.

What do you mean by "api 2.0"? If you mean Camera2 API - yes, it's active... I shoot mainly in RAW format.

2. Install and click on the above option in green - Permissive
3. Now trying to open the Gcam application...
If you do not want to install Gcam, you can start the stock camera directly after flash of the module with Magisk, there in the settings of "Video" you will find the options for UHD 4K / 60fps, as well as FHD 1080p / 60fps...

Or just dial *#*#0610#*#* for api 2.

Hi, By installing this, whether my banking app's stop working as this got inbuilt root?

Advanced Camera2 API Enable
Camera2 API is a framework that allows developers to access camera features such as exposure, focus, or ISO, which they will customize and optimize for their custom applications. This API which is the successor of the previous Android API provides direct access to camera hardware.
Camera2 API was introduced 6 years ago Google I/O 2014 which at the time coincided with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Third-party developers can use the Camera2 API for full optimization of manual control via cellphone sensors, lenses, and flash in order to better frame rates (60 fps burst mode), RAW capture support, HDR+ other control features. This can be seen in the Google Camera application that processes complex algorithms and AI functions in capturing stunning photo images.
Magisk Module to activate Camera2 API for devices that do not support it, and adds a few improvements to this module.

Parrot, BSG, HyperNext, etc, work on AOSP 10
Is this ROM specific? I tried it in LOS 15.1 by e/ foundation and it didn't work. Not even manually modifying build.prop. Magisk 20.3 with Chimaera kernel.

hello... i installed it on a Mi Max 3, but nothing happened.. still LEGACY level
has anyone tried this one Redmi Note 4 (Mido)?
does this method work for exynos processors, like rooted samsung a50? it has camera2 enabled but no raw support
Doesnt seem to work on Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018, karnak) with LineageOS 16.0 and Magisk 20.4.
Will testing it on my other devices.
Hold up your work!
Argh, where is the file/user gone???
It was fine here...until another update broke something. Now I have to reinstall and it is gone.
Any suggestion where to find this file? Can someone pls reupload or send me a link/file please?

I just need to point out that this link has nothing at all officially to do with Magisk. And since all files seem to be hosted on their own website rather than from the original source I would suggest that no files should be flashed without first verifying that they are doing what they say. I know, basic internet-downloading-installing safety stuff... But it doesn't hurt saying it again.

This module is not working for me. It is quite old and not at all from this topic. The version is 1.0.0 and all files inside were created in 2008.
I would really appreciate original file from this topic.

Found some major bug even if i followed the procedure.
1 - SMS tooks 1 sec to send, which is good, but tooks like 20 mins to reciver, or eithr a reboot.
2 - Android 11 auto detect every apn, but the one for my operator is wrong, since MNVO need to stay on IMSI and the value at 22220x, but the system forced another one, which is resetted every reboot.
3 - Even if i updated both Google Play Services and Android Web View, i was unable to download more than one app in 180 minutes.
4 - When downloading, the phone become unusable due to the heat in the upper left part (back).
Alternative installation that I have done working and without overheating
-Once the rar has been downloaded and the files extracted
TWRP installation: OrangeFox recommended
-Wipes Dalvik/ART Cache/System/Cache/Data/Storage(optional)/Format Data
-Reboot again in TWRP
-Flash Firmware Lineage 17.1 lineage-17.1-20200908
-Flash System.img as system image
-Restart system
-Once the system has started, install the apks included in the rar and restart the system
-Finish the pixel configuration (do not open the play store until you have done it) with your email and voila, you can open the play store and configure to your liking
About a third of the applications I use don't work
I gave up it's a shame, too many worries.

Oh hello... Going to give this a go
Already doing it
Good update.some reports battery life improved.
The notification mal alignment is corrected for music apps.
Auto brightness button removed and only bar available in quick launch status bar.
Updated straight from 12 with the local update APK.
Just disable Magisk modules first, if you don't and you can't get by the initial set up.. just reboot to safe mode then continue, it should work as expected from then on.

Question Should I go with rooting of Mi 11 Ultra?

I'm from India and have been using the Mi 11 Ultra v13.0.5.0 (SKAINXM) since November 2021. However, I'm disappointed to learn that the MiUI14 update is not yet available for the Mi 11 Ultra (STAR) in India.
I understand that rooting a phone has many advantages, but I'm unsure whether or not to root my Mi 11 Ultra. Could you please suggest some Magisk Modules and APKs that can help me get the most out of rooting my device, including improving the performance of the Stock Mi-Camera and Leica Camera for rooted phones?
I've already submitted a request to Xiaomi to unlock my bootloader, and timeline of 168Hrs has passed.
I would appreciate any advice you could offer.
You can use Miflash and install a stock MIUI14 version or a Xiaomi EU rom(better than stock)Stable or Weekly.

These roms are stock based and do not add or remove bands.
I recommend a Weekly rom (latest Xiaomi features. updated every week).
Hybrid rom, installable with TWRP or with a PC.
The first installation requires formatting the data with the TWRP or using the First install.bat file included in the folder extracted from the zip.
Back up your data before. (MIcloud for example).
Then the updates will be done either with OTA+TWRP or the Update.bat file with a PC.

I rooted by MI 11 ultra but unfortunately PayTM & BHIM UPI banking apps are not working anymore even after tagging them on Magisk. I don't have any other wayout except unroot my phone. I am presently v13.0.5.0 SKAINXM flahsed patched boot.img through Magistk in fastboot mode.
I want to know how to unroot the mobile so that I can use banking apps. I have factory reset by phone but that didn't changed anything and my banking apps still showing rooted phone.
Kindly help.
Unroot with Magisk then delete Magisk and the Magisk folder(s).
If the bootloader remains unlocked, banking apps may not work.

Xiaomi Eu rom remains the best alternative.
Here you can see how to bypass Safety Net with Magisk. No need to unroot because it may not solve the problem.
SafetyNet is deprecated!
Wallet and other apps (particularly Google apps) use Play Integrity API, make sure to pass BASIC_INTEGRITY and DEVICE_INTEGRITY
There are threads with instructions and everything on XDA
---
Playstore, Settings, About, tap several times on the version number until you become developer
Then go to Settings, General, newly unleashed Developer options, Play Integrity - Check Integrity
Thanks a lot dear friends for your suggestions.
