Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
Include your OOS base versions in reports. (Eg: 9.0.8, OB17 etc.)
Mention any and all Magisk modules you might be using along with the Magisk version
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Which TWRP do I use?
A: Use only latest TWRP from HERE
Q: Which GApps do I use?
A: I recommened OpenGApps. Any Android 10 compatible GApps should work but I will only be answering to issues where OpenGApps is used.
Q: Do I have to wipe data if coming from another ROM?
A: Yes, I will not be providing help/support to users that haven't wiped data when coming from another ROM.
Q: How often will I be getting updates?
A: The plan is for weeklies, if unavoidable circumstances come up, please don't spam the thread. I will release a build as soon as one is ready.
Q: Does VoLTE/VoWiFi work?
A: Yes, I have tested on Jio in India and it does work. VoWiFi seems to be broken based on the 2 reports I've had, I can't test this personally since India doesn't have this feature.
Q: I ended up on CrashDump mode, how do I get back to my system?
A: Theres a valuable thread HERE which can help restoring your system, you WILL LOSE ALL DATA and I will not be blamed under any circumstances.
Q: Is the ROM official?
A: The ROM is an early Alpha build, I am the Official maintainer for OP6T AOSiP but the ROM is too early in the cycle right now for it to be tagged as Official.
Q: I use Telegram, where can I find help on that platform?
A: There is a common AOSiP Group Chat for all devices, the link is HERE
Q: Does SafteyNet pass and is the SELinux Enforcing?
A: Yes, SafteyNet does pass with Magisk and SELinux is Enforcing.
Q: What OOS Base firmware do I use?
A: OOS 10.3.0 is the recommended base firmware right now.
Q: I'm having high idle drain, please fix.
A: I'll need more data from you to figure it out, Install BetterBatteryStats and let me know about what it tells you after 3-4 charge cycles. Please do not report issues when having apps like Greenify, Naptime, Wakelock blocker etc.
Q: My phone is stuck on the "Bootloader is unlocked" warning page, why isn't my system booting?
A: Since there are a bunch of scripts being executed when the device is sent a power on signal, it might take some time to boot. Don't panic, your system will boot fine after some time. All builds are personally tested by me and a few testers.
Q: When I'm updating via OTA in the Updater, do I have to reflash GApps and Magisk? Will TWRP stay after I update?
A: When updating via OTA, GApps and Magisk will remain intact. Have a look in /system/addon.d/. Anything that is present inside that folder will stay after the update.
TWRP will not stay since A/B devices don't have a recovery partition for it to actually stay. You will be reverted to the stock recovery.[/QUOTE]

If I'm already on open beta 17 do I still need to factory reset on TWRP and follow method 1? Our can I flash directly over beta 17? And what is the difference between twro.img and the twrp installer.zip? Why needed to flash installer zip if TWRP is already my custom recovery? Not too clear on that..I know I lose root when I do flash that zip. Thx in advance! ?

Known issues says you tell me, does that mean the FOD works? Considering the nature of these ROMs and the FOD, I figured I'd ask

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we are now based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the GZOSP team, if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't GZOSP supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 28.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure might vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
The root solution can be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update).
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 17.2 don't usually require to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time.
Unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Attention! You'll need a vendor partition!

GApps is always optional because some people want them and some don't. If you read carefully, on LOS 15.1 is the same.
I have heard Android Pie got GAPPS inbuild and i believe that because google dont want microg users. So its not true...

Why should I mention other stuff if I already provide a working bootstack. Why would I give a download link for Gapps and add the the optionally tag, if they would be build in.
thnx @OrdenKrieger and all others involved :good:
Nice build - working smooth, no lag
DT2W ok
Used bitgapps as a starter
At last NO echo and incall volume adjustable
FP working
Hotspot OK
camera pics ok, recording crashes when saving - on both pics and video lag on movement
usb preferences work
afaik there is no way in settings to reverse softkeys so i used mine : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=3700668719832237510 (be sure to be rooted and mount system/vendor)
Notifications work - on lockscreen and leds ok
EDIT : after testing a bit, definitely more heating and i mean a lot, more cpu load (f.e. as on the PPR1 img )..... could not stabilize temp on cpu 92C ! Only after applying powersave in EXKM...definitely something to look into (only Wifi on, no BT, no specific apps running....only the basic stuff to test your build )
EDIT2 : fast charging way more heat on battery - also battery drain too fast even with no cpu load
Will test further
Has anyone tried recording a video using the camera on a clean flash? Does the camera app freeze or crash?

yep, tried recording now and crashes when saving. Also lag on movement.
I try to flash but brick.
I download the bootloader and modem and Twrp and install them.
TWRP from OP did not see vendor Partition.
After flashing the Rom, no Twrp booting, no System booting...just fastboot working.

So, the OP says "FOR NOW THIS BUILD ONLY WORKS ON DEVICES WITH A VENDOR Partition". Did your device have a vendor partition before flashing this one?

Hi mate!
You shouldnt have used another BL nor twrp if you were on Nfounds and twrp3.2.18.Just flashed this rom and rebooted would have been fine.
Try to revert back to where you came from, at least flash his twrp3.2.18 and do a restore if you can.

Thank you very much, I am on the other LineageOS again.
Flashing Nfounds Twrp through fastboot, than O Bootstack again and I could restore my backup
Maybe they should point on that in the OP here.
I will try again in a minute and report back.
Thank you again!

That work's just fine.
I just tried this new build now, but it's just the same as the build you posted earlier today.
The only difference in this build....
Device information now shows Axon7 U
Same small bugs as in the other LineageOS 16 GSI plus wifi bit bugy
Signature spoofing is broken
Not worth it jet setting it up all new again.
I went back to my backup again.
Thank you again.
Edit
Of course, it's easier to flash because Post 1,2 and 3 are "included" now.
So it's quicker to flash.

Not quite. Mine was derived from Redmi Note 4. It looks the same for sure but devs have done some adjustments as to ECHO, dt2w working, notifications, ....
BUT my LOS16 build had no heating, nice CPU load and no battery drain and no heating when charging at all but had the annoying echo as we know it on other gsi builds and no dt2w, no notifications working on lockscreen, no led...
So there are definitely pros from this build and pros from mine.
Hope they can manage heating.
Also back on AEX as the heating (in my case) was too heavy. Dont want to ruin anything now

With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*

A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
Google Playstore to work), GApps are already included for some a/b devices.
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

I have to feed back a bug: Many applications can't download the local data needed to run it. For example, Google Translate, Google Translate can't download offline translation files on this ROM, I hope you can fix it. In addition, the localization of this ROM is incomplete, I hope this can be improved. Thank you for your work.

I found that the default browser using this ROM could not successfully download any files. No other browser except the Chrome browser can successfully download the file. Even if you confirm the download, the file will not be downloaded to your phone.

I tried to solve the problem that I could not successfully download, I used the adb command. The reason why I succeeded was because Google in my country was blocked by the government, so the results of the captive test were not normal. I fixed it with adb. The previous problem may be due to the system thinking that I am not connected to the network.
Thanks

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
Include your OOS base versions in reports. (Eg: 9.0.8, OB25, 9.0.7, etc.)
A: Use only latest mauronofrio TWRP: IMAGE | ZIP INSTALLER
Q: Which GApps do I use?
A: Use the "Gapps" variant builds if you need Gapps. They have Gapps preincluded and provide the best Gapps experience.
A: The ROM is Official.
A: OOS OB25 is the recommended base firmware right now.
You will be reverted to the stock recovery.

My OnePlus 6 is now my backup phone so I better learn how to take logs so I can help because I can flash anything it doesn't matter if I brick it lol preferably just a soft brick though Thank you I really like aosip it's a great pie ROM. It was my daily driver. I tried just about every other rom but they weren't even close to how nice and polished and stable aosip is
Yeah, this rom works wonders for me. The only 'issue' I have is the signal strength, but it's more a cosmic thing right?
If we're already on AOSiP 9.0, do we have to clean flash or can we dirty flash? Sorry for noob question.
Please excuse my strong words but this is fu**ing amazing.
Using LOS17 for a few days, i was pretty happy, but this is on another level, this is faster, more polished, seems very stable, and all this in a first build, i'm really blown away to be honest.
Nothing to complain about, all the things i had problems with on LOS are not present here (Most importantly, video issues with GCam and Digital Wellbeing crashing).

I subscribe 100%. Lads, this is amazing work on such short notice sort of speak. I am someone who tried all roms for my OP6 and I mean ALL OF THEM, 20-30 times over. Illusion is the only one maturely stable no issues whatsoever. And today I flashed Q. It is crazy fast, moves slick as a fox, stable so far, all it's missing is the customizations but that's to come, no worries, very much understandable, it's an alpha. I have tried DP3 from OP back when they released... disaster. I have no words for your work, literally speechless.
Lads, you're severe geniuses.
First post suggests to use beta 25 as the base. For good reasons I imagine.

OnePlus mistype OB25 to OB28, but it's still same OB25. Also, this is not first time OnePlus typo on their OOS name.
Oh Boi..
Here we go.. XD
Let Android 10 ROM's rain like hell.. XD
Yup, it's a real signal strength. Most roms fake it to avoid dealing with this issue.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
*

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name.

Try TrCamera.V5 or Bruial 7.2.10. If not working change the kernel. Iam on AICP Q unofficial from April, this cameras works great.
Great, good job now official. AICP my favourite rom. EAS is still supported? The unofficial roms before have a very good BB with some EAS kernels. Iam not a gamer and don't found a good HMP with very good BB for AICP Q.

Was using eas before, while it does improve smoothness and UI performance, it unfortunately causes some really nasty freezes, so I swit he'd back to HMP, you're free to use a custom kernel though

This good to hear, I will try. With OLK-reloaded-V5, Papermoon 3.7 and Notkernel EAS I never had freezes with AICP Q in daily use (5weeks) and very good BB. Papermoon no. 1 smooth, than OLK. But I never tried games.
Hey. I have a headset problem. The volume change on the headphones does not work.. when I press the button, the volume goes up or down. does anyone have the same?

I use headphone with volume control and both work. The volume control of the headphone and volume control of the smartphone. Driver from ViperFx. But I am still on aicp_lavender_q-15.0-UNOFFICIAL-20200412. Tomorrow I want update to the official one, after testing SyberiaOS. But I don't think they change the sound control in the official one.

In lineageos there is also a problem with the volume of the headphones. It's probably a kernel bug. Mokee rom and Pixel experience is ok. they have a different kernel, so they work Hmmm....

BB is good, but depends what kernel you use. You can change kernel and have 1-2 hours more. Cameras I installed TrCamera V5 and Hypercam (gcams) both works great.
