Unlock OEM without internet? - Moto G7 Plus Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have the model XT1965-2
I was wearing a custom rom, so I went back to stock. I put it, blocked the bootloader, and started the system, but the wifi and mobile data were not working, so I unlocked again to reinstall the rom, asked to unlock in Developer Mode >> OEM Unlock
But there was a message saying that an internet connection was needed. Ideas on how to solve?
Thanks.

you need to go to the motorola bootloader unlock website on an internet enabled device and it is pretty easy to understand.

I already unlocked it once, when I was using custom ROM, on motorola's website, and now I tried again, but I always ask to enable the option (Developer Mode >> OEM Unlock) and I ask to connect to a wifi or cellular data network, like i said, i can't access the internet on my device,

Okay, let's go.
In Fastboot:
fastboot oem unlock (email code here)
(bootloader) Check 'OEM unlocking' in Android Settings > Developer
(bootloader) Options
OKAY [ 0.022s]
finished. total time: 0.022s
Now in: ' OEM unlocking ' in Android Settings > Developer
Says: "Connect to the Internet or contact your carrier "
Screenshot: imgur.com/a/sBgWsvh
But how will I connect to the Internet if WiFi and mobile data do not work?
No problems unlocking via Fastboot, is in cell phone settings

you will probably need an internet connection to enable that option.
did you try the fastboot command after enabling usb debugging?

i don't know then. i searched online for a bit but didnt find another option. maybe try flashing stock stock again but minus the bootloader line to see if you can get wifi working. or use a different device as a wifi hotspot or bluetooth tether

The message that appears on the bootloader "Flashing locked"? because if it is, I have the same problem!

@Coxinha2139
No, that's definitely not the same problem! Your message "flashing locked" means you have a locked bootloader. To unlock it visit Motorola's support page.
But to fix @Feelipe Mashiro problem see this thread:

I stayed with my device like this for a month, today I contacted Motorola and they asked me to send them to an authorized person who would perform the concert, even with the bootloader unlocked on the site.
I tested all possible software to perform the repair, recent rom's, but the only way is eMMC / JTag repair.

Here is a general instruction for this tool
https://github.com/Genymobile/gnirehtet
The tool itself cannot unlock the bootloader on your device! It's a "reverse tethering tool". More information about how it works:

Hmm, maybe we have to disable the T-Mobile Sim unlocker then it'll prompt on other Sims? Disable this app, reboot and try again.

You disabled the very application you need to use to unlock your device. How do you expect to ever do this when you have the application disabled. Re-enable the application access it from your app drawer and follow the on-screen instructions!
Since this is a tmobile device, its setup to be unblocked through T Mobile's method. You could try pushing a new default XML with a generic SKU instead of T Mobile's and perhaps you would get a traditional unlocked menu but as long as you have a tmobile SKU, you won't.
See here for more information:
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-14011
The point is i want to unlock the m9 with out the apps. I already did what you said. Enabled the apps and unlock via the app but it was failed because its a new device and im not eligable to unlock the phone.

Friend, I explained it quite clearly in my post above. Your default XML has set your device with the tmobile SKU. there is no way to unlock the device outside of T Mobile app with that sku. it is designed this way on purpose! You must modify your sku and I'm not going to walk you through that process. just as you said you are INELIGIBLE to unlock and that is why it won't work for you. You're trying to trick your way around and frankly well you're going to need a hack for that. Sunshine version 3.1 will support s-off as well as GSM network unlock. maybe look into that but as long as you don't modify your sku you can't unlock the old way you want.
guyz any update on unlocking the t mobile htc one m9 without the app. ???

I'm afraid that this is the direction Tmobile is going. The HTC One M9 is the second device they use the unlock app, instead of the unlock pin code like before. First it was the Samsung Avant, and now this phone. Have any one tried to see if the Tmobile Galaxy S6 is the same?
Thanks

Okay guys. I was able to unlock the phone with the unlock code (which purchased online). You don't need the phone to be S-OFF, but need to unlock bootloader (at htcdev.com), and flash the TWRP recovery, make sure you download and flash the latest beta TWRP 2.8.6.4 from Captain_Throwback.
Once that's done, need to download the Android Evolution HD 4.1 from HTC One M9 development forum, and flash it. It will ask for the unlock code with SIM card that is not Tmobile
I will try to flash back the original stock ROM to see if it still asks to unlock the phone with the unlock app, but so far it works great.

Like I said in my first post you don't need to do any of that. You need to unlock your device root your phone and change your SKU in default.xml from tmobile (11) to any other
You flashed an international based ROM so your sku is likely set to 6
It didn't work. I also tried to remove freeze the Tmobile unlock app, but the phone would not ask for unlock code. Have not tried other rom, but Android Evolution rom did ask for the unlock code.

I never said anything about freezing the app
I didn't say you did. I said i tried your method which did not work, and I ALSO tried to freeze the unlock app. Anyway, i don't care at this point because I have found a way that works for me.
Thanks
I flashed the phone back with original Tmo RUU, and unlock appears to stick. It works with AT&T 4G LTE, and no snag screen from the annoying unlock app.
Hope that helps, good luck

Nexus 6 unlocked without "Enable OEM unlock"

I did "oem unlock" on my new Nexus 6, because i wanted to upgrade directly to the newest image of Android 6.
However after that, i discovered, that i had to "Enable OEM unlock" in developer settings, to "oem lock" and "oem unlock" the device.
But I didn't had to do this the first time.
So is this feature not implemented in the first firmware version of the Nexus 6, or is my "new" device not realy new?
Looks like it was already unlocked when you got it. Usually you get a few messages about unlocking the phone to warn you and tell you the device will be wiped aka factory reset.

No, the developer options were not enabled. I got into fastboot mode, made sudo fastboot oem unlock, clicked yes and it was unlocked. I flashed the Android 6 image manually and after that i couldn't relock it. I had then to activate the developer options to relock the device.

Ok, this is strange, the Device was new and the package sealed. I mean, could realy someone have somehow re-sealed it? Someone at Nexus Help Forum suggested, maybe someone at Motorola made a mistake in the final preparation process, so there are just some devices affected.
https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!msg/nexus/ZoVKdHn-cM4/xwaB-b8MAQAJ
So, do you think the Device is safe to use(regarding the devices firmware (bootloader etc.) isn't altered/ some sort of maleware embedded)? Or should I return it, if I can?

mistakes do happen. ive seen people buy a n6 from tmobile but receive an att version, with all the att trimings. if you want to check if locking it is possible, you probably should. but, i think it probably is safe to use.
Theoretically someone could have bought it, opened it, unlocked it and did what ever with it, somehow reasealed it and returned it to the retailer(you have the right to return something you bought online in a 14 day period in germany).
I noticed something there are two numbers which are each 11 digits long, one on the the bottom and one on the side of the packaging.
(I covered them on the pictures, but marked where they are)
The two numbers differ at my packaging, Is this normal or should the two numbers be the same?

[GUIDE] Unlock Bootloader for Mate S CRR-UL00 [Middle East Version][No Chinese ]

NON GUIDE STUFF :
I upgraded from The P7-L10 Version ... it was a single sim internation version (widely Available) ..... there were many guides to achieve root and bootloader unlock and recoveries and stuff ..... but for the mate s mostly people have the L09 not The UL00 so i decided to take it upon me to guide those with the UL00 model .... so lets Begin .
******************************************************************************************************
GUIDE STUFF :
Requirements :
DO this stuff before beginning .
1) Install ADB and Fastboot and Your Devices Driver and also enable usb debugging in ur device and also enabling OEM UNLOCK
2)Open Notepad and Write Down all of the following stuff ( can be found on ur device's box or inside settings --> abt phone--> status. ...... 1)S/N . 2)IMEI 1 or if that doesnt work try IMEI 2 . 3)Phone/Product ID ( can be found by opening Dialer and typing *#*#1357946#*#* ..... Copy this all onto a notepad and save it .
*******************************************************************************************************************************
Go to this webpage You would need to sign in using your Huawei ID ..... If you dont have that then you can login with facebook .
Next a webpage comes with the terms and stuff ..... just click on the i agree stuff and move on to the next page
There the phone model is asked in the first blank .... it should be typed as follow HUAWEI CRR-UL00 .... Alphabets should be capital .
Next fill in all the details with the stuff you saved in the notepad
then type in the security code and click the confirm button .
The Unlock code will be displayed at the bottom .... copy and paste it someplace safe
*******************************************************************************************************************

The website link is not of chinese website .... have you logged in to your phone using huawei id ??
Tried to.
The mobile does not login because I do have a German Sim-card or a german IP Adress.
Both blocked because it is a China-Mainland Mobile.
Edit:
I made a complete factory reset on the mobile.
Then I was able to log in with my Huawei ID.
Now I am going to try again in 14 days.

is ur bootloader unlocked ??
I read to tech Forum this: The official Huawei website no longer provides the bootloader unlock codes for your devices !!! For several weeks the official website of Huawei to request the code (unique for each terminal) returns an error message that says the ID register with Huawei to Cloud and wait 14 days, but who says he expected to receive this error message and also the Subscribing to this service Chinese I find it impossible from Italy. I tried to contact all the way Huawei but I do not want to provide the code, they are also overwhelmed by demands on their official forum but do not answer to anyone. For those who buy one today Huawei (including Honor 7 as I did) you can forget the root, recovery model and whatever else!

Change USB Mode to "Manufacture Mode" with the steps shown in DC-Unlocker.
Then set:
Manufacture: Huawei Phones
Select Model: Auto detect
then, if you press detect phone and it finds your mate s, you can find the "read bootloader code" unter the menu "unlocking"
ive set my Mate S to manufacture mode, drivers are installed, ran the dc unlocker app as admin on Win 10, but it still says phone not found... what am i missing here (apart from a brain...)
That´s how it looks if i follow the steps from my previous post.

Easy way to relock bootloader?

Hi All,
Just wondering, is there way to relock the bootloader on the exynos Note8?
I see lots of guides to unlock and root but none to relock the bootloader. Any advice please?
Many, if not all, Exynos models on the Note 8 have an unlocked bootloader by default so unlike other Android devices, Motorola for example, there is no ADB command you can use to lock it.
If you want to provide more context, I would be happy to assist further.

Hello.
Thanks for replying. I have an Australian Note8 with Vodafone.
I went into developer settings and toggled the OEM Unlock/Bootloader unlock option. That is the only action I have taken.
Next time I went to use Android Pay it told me my bootloader was unlocked and it will no longer work.
I went back into developer settings and there it is, bootloader status is unlocked! Is this normal for Samsung devices?
All I want to do is relock the bootloader so that I may use Android Pay again.
I have not rooted the phone. All other apps pass safetynet.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's the really strange thing. Secure Folder, Samsung Pay and S-Health all still work.
Only the toggle has been done in dev settings, nothing else.

What happens when you turn the oem switch to off and reboot? Might have to wait a bit.
Have you tried doing a factory reset?
Or reflashing the stock firmware? (Make sure oem is turned off first. )

Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to wait until OEM unlock reappears as I reflashed the stock VAU firmware only yesterday hoping to fix. It didn't.
But before that I did try FR from the settings menu and from recovery. Same problem unfortunately
So a few things:
Knox should only be tripped if you introduce a foreign element to the device; flashing recovery to obtain root.
Turning on 'OEM Unlock' would do nothing to the device concerning Knox as it doesn't touch/alter the container reserved for Knox.
Thus if you were going to root, you would certainly need to have 'OEM Unlock' enabled to flash recovery.
This explains explain why Secure Folder, Samsung Pay and S-Health still work; the Knox container wasn't altered and the fuse not blown.
My suggestion is now that you have reset your device, don't bother toggling 'OEM Unlock' again unless you plan to root.

I basically had similar experience,( as you.) with toggling OEM toggle etc and it showed me that it was unlocked.
However a factory reset, should sort everything out.
My OEM showed after factory reset, that it was locked again.
Just wait the 7 days and check. Should be ok.
on a side note,....
I see even in my Google Play /Settings /Device
certification, it showing... Certified.
When my OEM was unlocked it showed
something like not verified / not certified or something like that.

Thanks man, I guess I have to wait a few more days until OEM unlock reappears and I can verify the status.
All I can say is that right now, android pay is telling me the bootloader is unlocked and from within download mode, OEM Lock = OFF

Ok thanks. It usually takes 7 days for the oem unlock toggle to appear in the developers options. So wait another few days (make it 8 in total to be safe) and then reboot. See if you have the toggle at that point. In the meantime, read through the oem unlock thread for more details.

General Progress/How to in modding(rooting, recoveries,etc)

Hi!
As you may know Honor is pretty restricted in modding.
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS/BRICKED DEVICES'
THIS JUST GIVES AN IDEA ON WHAT TO DO AND IF YOU SHOULD BUY( I don't recommend for modding)
EDIT: IT SEEMS LIKE WE CANT UNLOCK THE BL
There are no recoveries yet
So we need boot.img to root with magisk
But Honor/Other websites does not provide firmware
So we need to dump firmware(which I have not done yet) to get boot.img using mtk client or unlocktool (idk if unlocktool is legit)
Then patch boot.img and flash

Hi! Thanks for requesting this page!
For anyone considering buying this phone, just like OP said, DON'T buy if you want to MOD it in any way!
Also, if anyone has any information on this phone, like the firmware, exploits, etc. PLEASE share it since this device is not even that known in XDA.
Sad update, I backed up my Linux computer to install windows and use many apps to retrieve stock firmware for rooting and when device gets bricked, but no success, and I installed Linux again. I did not dual boot because of storage issues
Our hope is not fully lost.
We could flash a rooted GSI.
But I just don't want to risk it as there is no way to return back to the stock firmware if something goes wrong or some features don't work(that's sometimes how GSI's are

That's only an option to allow the device to be unlocked, but it doesn't unlock it per se. That's done in fastboot mode or similar where you enter a code to unlock it, but Huawei/Honor stopped giving those codes years ago, that's why it's so difficult to do anything to these phones...

Hi!
Do you know any way to check if the bootloader is unlocked other than the phone and fastboot method(those don't work for me). I think I did unlock the bootloader, here is what I did:
1. I typed "fastboot flashing unlock"
2. THAT BRICKED MY PHONE
3. I booted into recovery and did a factory reset
4. Did my usual setup again
5. I just went into settings(developer options) and the OEM unlock toggle was enabled without me touching it!

You can check by entering fastboot/bootloader mode and it'll say if the phone (bootloader) is locked or unlocked.
You can enter the bootloader by using adb and entering "adb reboot bootloader" and after you get restarted into the bootloader it'll tell you the status on the bottom of the screen.
I have that OEM unlock toggled on and as it still says "Phone Locked" in the bootloader, just as I said that toggling that option doesn't actually unlock it.

While I did not make any progress, atleast I found out I wasted my time "unlocking" the BL and still nothing happened. Just to confirm that the phone locked thing does change when BL in unlocked, I checked a yt video on someone flashing a GSI on an older honor device and it does say "phone unlocked" for them.
Let me explain a bit more on what happened on the BL unlock attempt:
1.I did fastboot flashing unlock in adb which should unlock the BL
2.It put me in a menu which had an option to unlock the bootloader and it did say it will void warranty
3. Then it said it was a sucess and then went into another menu asking what to do next (fastboot mode, reboot, and something else) but it glitched and clicking hw buttons did nothing so I rebooted and the device was in a bootloop so I had to reset the device using the recovery
4. In fastboot mode, it still says phone locked
In short: There is a bug preventing BL unlock. I am not sure if Honor devices still need a code to unlock the BL since you said they stopped providing them

Being an Honor device, it most likely needs a code to unlock it. So I doubt we'll be able to do anything with this phone.
I could try and do a backup before trying what you did to see if it was a just a bug on your phone or if in fact it can't be done at all, which honestly is the most probable case.
I'll try later and let you know if anything happens.

And yeah I decided to try it anyway and it happened exactly the same as your case. I had to factory reset it to exit the boot loop. Fortunately, I did a backup just before trying it so I was able to restore it and not lose anything; but yeah, things seem to have come to a standstill.

So, unless some miracle happens and someone discovers an exploit on the processor or something that allows us to decipher the unlock code, there is absolutely nothing than we can do...
You can only unlock the bootloader on the new Honor at the Honor office. But this is only possible if the Honor employee is your friend.
