Today I unboxed the oneplus 7t pro mclaren edition and i have to say the box looks premium in the black carbon fibre look with subtle McLaren branding on the front.
Opening the box the first thing you see is an orange pocket which houses an invitation letter and some pamphlets, under these we have the beautiful powerhouse the oneplus 7t pro mclaren edition which borrows from the supercar aesthetic of the limited-production McLaren Speedtail, resilient carbon fiber imparts a track-inspired appearance and ultra-premium feel, finished with a subtle accent line in McLaren’s hallmark papaya orange racing tint.
Hiding under the phone is the orange braided usb c charging cable which again looks and feels very premium. At the bottom of the box is the 30T warp charger under a never settle branded flap, it is finished in a matte black and orange colour way which looks much nicer than the white chargers you get with other oneplus devices, and not to mention this is OnePlus’s fastest charger capable of charging your phone to 68 percent in 30 minutes.
Under the box is a secret orange panel which once removed reveals the case, which incorporates classic McLaren design elements, this precision-crafted signature protective case is accented in carbon fiber and Italian-made Alcantara®, the same plush fabric that adorns the sophisticated interiors of McLaren’s luxury sports cars.
Taking a closer look at the OnePlus 7t pro Mclaren you can see that special subtle carbon fiber effect that dances as you tilt and turn the phone, also around the camera module you can see that famous papaya orange that Mclaren are famous for and with hints of it along the edges too.
The metal frame is in a glossy black finish with the alert slider being in a metallic orange again helping to break up that stealthy black frame. Looking at the front of the phone you can see an uninterrupted 6.67 inch, 90hz, QHD plus panel which looks stunning because unlike many other devices there are no notches, punch holes or water drops making for a very immersive experience when viewing content. This is thanks to OnePlus utilising that pop up selfie camera again.
And That was my simple OnePlus 7t pro McLaren edition unboxing, overall I love this device and the premium presentation that it comes wrapped in, it will go on sale on the 5th of November priced at £799.

Nice video. I'm considering getting it myself. But a question that hit me. What if you flash this with a custom rom. How do you go back to stock mclaren branded rom? I'm guessing the phone does use the same images as the regular oneplus 7t pro?
I know it's basically just cosmetic but I prefer being able to revert back to stock and having a special edition that means special edition stock

Pulled an apk from from root/OnePlus/app/OPwallpaperresources but it's 400MB, can upload somewhere if you can confirm it's the file you're after?
Not actually sure if this will give you what you want but it's the most relevant file I found poking around the root storage on my McLaren edition
The McLaren wallpapers themselves are attached in this zip including the live wallpaper though

Thank you very much, but still the OPWallpaperResouces apk can't show the mclaren live wallpaper on launcher, it seems like OP7T wallpaper with OP7T live wallpaper, maybe that exclusive feature for the OP7T mclaren only.
Would you mind if you share the bootanimation of Mclaren on your system folder?

If the Gear is ordered from Phones4u in the UK with the "£100 discount when ordered with a Note 3 Deal", you only get the watch in Black. No other colors available.
I wanted Rose Gold and was diss appointed when I learned I must have a black one, unsure if my post was the one you are talking about

I think anything other than the color we both pre-ordered is gonna be a bit much. Black will hide its bulky appearance while keeping it classy. I wouldn't mind taking it out to the golf course with me or wearing it to work. Now the brighter colors draw too much attention and define the lines to the point the bulky appearance stands out.

Basic black always goes well, I always get phones in black, cases for them always used to be in black (it was my stealth method from hiding my very frequent device changes form my wife) but now I use colored cases.
But on a watch black is always nice.
I was confused between mocha grey and black but later confirmed on the black.

So after another full day of measurements and trial-n-error ... I finally got a finished product, well a few actually ... well a finished product with a few options lol.
Right now I'm rocking the Black skin on my Gear Gen.1 and it looks awesome! SO clean and sleek looking with just enough chrome to set it off with an expensive luxury look, but is now fully protected on all of its sensitive spots. The clasp protector was originally made because as a graphic designer, my wrist settled and was banged on a desk basically 8 hours a day, and that was my cure to keep my watch looking brand new. The full face idea came just for the option to change the color of my watch, the stainless steel looks great and all, but gets played out and sometimes just looks too much ... But I dealt with it, not really having any time to sit and work the schematics for a full face protector. Then it got to the point where I had to hang a towel over the hand railing of the treadmill because every once in a while I would accidently bang my watch off of it while doing my cardio at the gym, luckily the steel has held up well and I've always had one of my screen protectors on it, so it hasn't really been a big deal.
Now with a finished product in hand and on my wrist, I'm just kind of pissed I "back burnered" this project for so long! lol. As I stated before, I know everyone has kind of moved on to the new Gear 2 and the Gear 1 is kind of old news, But I still sell GG1 Screen & Clasp Protectors on a daily basis so I know there's still somewhat of a market for stuff like this. Regardless, I'll have my hands on a GG2 here soon to play around with and while doing so I will have a chance to get the measurements for this type of product for the new Gear 2 and possibly Gear Fit, neither have a speaker in the clasp, But I know the Gear 2 has a stainless steel clasp, and speaker or not, that thing is getting banged up ugly from daily use. So all the GG2 people, stay tuned because that project is just around the corner.
Since I originally dropped the GG1 Screen & Clasp Protectors at the end of last year I've seen a boom in people selling products like it on web-stores and places like eBay & Amazon, I'm not saying in anyway that I invented these, But when I made them, the Gear was fresh on the shelves and I couldn't find anything to protect the exposed/sensitive parts of my $300 investment, and once sold to the general public they really took off! and I thank the people here at XDA especially for being my "Beta Testers" in a way and hopefully the people who bought them here were completely satisfied! It was extremely shocking that something I made for fun/necessity turned into an actual marketable successful product and doing it literally as a one man team was a bit much at times, but awesome! ANYWAYS! the difference between what is currently being offered when it comes to full face protectors for the GG1 and what I was able to put together is, my skin covers the ENTIRE front of the gear, As far as I've seen on the net, they only cover the top and bottom portion of the Gears stainless steel face (If I am missing any out there by all means piss on my parade lol) mine are designed to cover the entire front for full protection as well as the option to change the look of the Gear all together. Pretty cool I think.
With all this being said, the only real challenge I faced upon finishing the design was getting the skin onto the Gear and on correctly, the material used for the skin is very flimsy and hard to maneuver, kind of like putting a screen protector on a phone, but worse! lol.
BUT! within a few minutes I had a solution, which was actually a perfect solution. Not only did it do the trick of being able to easily handle the material while putting the face protector on, it made it extremely easy to keep the skin perfectly straight and allow the installer to line everything up perfect for a perfect hassle-free installation (when done correctly) so I am pretty excited about it, and when these become available to the public (Very Soon!) that installation material will be sold with the protectors.
I've also decided to scratch selling the Clasp Protector by itself now that the Face Protector is done and they will be sold as a set, overall less confusing for the customer and myself when it comes to filling an order and just makes more sense. But now that I have a few color options available (more coming very soon!) I think I would be willing to mix and match colors/patterns with the Face & Clasp Protectors if anyone asked.
On that note as you will see in the pictures I currently have 4 color options available:
- BLACK (Jet-Black)
- PURPLE (Deeper Purple, Almost Plum)
- GRAY (Storm Cloud Gray, somewhat close to the gray color offered by Samsung on the Gear 1)
- GREEN (Darker, sort-of hunter Green)
COLORS/PATTERNS I PLAN TO HAVE VERY SOON:
The original Chrome/Steel color I offered with the GG1 Clasp Protectors which seamlessly matched the stainless on the GG1.

Hey Guys, I know in my last post on the "Galaxy Gear Clasp Protector Thread" that I said I kind of gave up on further development for the Skin Protectors for the Gen. 1 Gear ... Well I kind of got a second wind on it today and actually sat down and got to work on it, and its a pretty big undertaking as expected, way more variables involved in the front of the Gear than on the clasp ... But I got pretty far on development today and got a few pictures of the first mock up.
They are in Black, That's the original color that I wanted to do all this in to give the watch more of a subtle/played-down look, in my opinion the way Samsung should have originally done it or at least offered the option instead of all the chrome, and I believe the Gear 2 Neo has the full black-out look.
Obviously once this is fully finished, the color and pattern options are endless. One problem I came across while putting this together was covering the side chrome of the watch face (See pictures) which isn't a huge issue to me, gives the watch a little bling and keeps a little bit of the luxury look, this my no be everyone's cup-o-tea, and I may try and play around with a side flap option, problem is, just like the clasp protectors, this can only be able to be achieved with fold cuts. And obviously the Clasp Protector will stay the same because I think I got the best result I can on those, and with any other color besides the original chrome I offered, you can see the Protector is present because of the cut outs and the unprotected chrome areas of the clasp.
Either way, the progress I've made today alone are pretty substantial in my opinion and think I'll have a solid product ready for the public by the weekend. I know the Gear 2 is out and has taken off in popularity, But I plan to stick with my Gen.1 until it dies or they release one that blows my mind, and I can only assume there are still people who feel the same, so hopefully all of this work wont be for nothing, but we'll see.

never dealt with Amazon, don't really know what that entails to be honest ... but I'll def look into it! And I hadn't worked out a price yet, but for a face Protector and 4 clasp protectors probably around $10ish.

I found out this new brand on Instagram called Skin Tech. I had been using dbrand for my phones uptil now. I saw that they sell skins for Oneplus 3 and they say that they are made of 3M which is supposed to be the same material dbrand also uses and it was cheap at 499Rs. (7.5$) so I decided to give it a try. Apparently they're based in India. I ordered a teak wood and a matte black.
I got the skin and you can't really tell the difference between this and a dbrand's skin. Also came in a nice packaging with a cleaning cloth. I've applied the teak wood right now. I had a matte black one from dbrand for my Nexus and this is the same matte black material not bad considering the price and it took 5 days to come. But they only ship to India.

I talked to them via their Instagram dm. The have a few options more which aren't there on the site. They said that they're adding about 5 new options this month.

that would shurely make the brand shine in india.
My honor 7x Blue color is now marbelized with the skinnova skins. The marble pattern on the skins looks so real. The skins are very precise to fit into the ports. Some images below.

there are skins for smartphones for the borders to if u understand me for top and bottom in front of the phone

No it doesn't covers the front or the notification light are. It covers up to the side metal.

Have been using dbrand skin with coloured X on nexus 6P, it was the best ever look. Ofcourse has to pay too much import shipping fee and also wait patiently for 40days to reach India.
Unfortunately dbrand skins not available for 7x
But now skinnova provides good skins in close range of Asia, I applied skin to Redmi 4, as I ordered leather one finishing at cutout’s we’re not good as for leather lu look too much corrogoation(leather one doesn’t seems good) but wooden and sandstone versions are awesome
But skinnova doesn’t provide skin on front face for recent mobiles earlier they use to provide may be feedback on issue on handling phone covers.

I ordered a skin from gadget shieldz but i waited for about a month now and it still haven't arrive to me yet and to make matters worse tracking isn't available for country outside India. such a disappoinment. the skin i ordered is the black marble i think.
Sorry to hear that, did you try d-brand.. even there I faced same issue when I ordered on dbrand to ship it to India, no tracking and 40days it took.
In India from gadget shieldz, I got it delivered in 2days in all my last 2orders, they do ship fast seems rest all depend on logistics seems....

You just need to send the image (2:1 proportion) and they will print in the case. The quality is great, not perfect, but for the price i can't expect more than that. The case is better than the stock case and give nice protection (its similar to mofi case, but not too strong)

Exactly. They had the respect of not removing my name from the art, but they did not ask me the authorization to sell cases with the art. They don't care about copyright or something like that.
