Pixel 4 XL Hardware Manufacturers? - Google Pixel 4 XL Questions & Answers

Does anyone have any information on what companies manufactured various aspects of the Pixel 4 XL's hardware? Specifically, I'd like to know who manufactured the screen and who manufactured the battery. Or are these things actually manufactured by Google themselves these days?

I'm hoping Samsung made the screen. Which would be quite ironic, considering none of their devices have 90hz.

Just read a post where someone said the screen is made by LG. If that's true, that sucks. There's already a considerable amount of various screen related complaints.

Also seen a similar article stating the XL was Samsung and the smaller 4 was LG.

Looking at this iFixit teardown video, the label on the battery in the video shows it is made by Sunwoda Electronic Co.
EDIT:
And according to this iFixit teardown step-by-step;
".... the result is interesting: this display is manufactured by Samsung! "

Would work better if it was bigger
You are correct. Plenty of usefull info!
This is the biggest i could find:
Edit: Ahh, it's not the same one, but it's still blue!
Conclusion: Do not **** with a whale.
I probably should have specified that there wasn't a clearer/bigger picture available. I also googled for one for 5 minutes or so. The lack of a better image available kind of supports my point further, but it's just not as funny.
Looks like someone realized that the Triceratops wasn't a very relatable point of reference for most people and did some tweaking XD

They should have just said "no animal is as big as a blue whale" lol
or "whales are big".
actually, it looks like the original image was from an educational app/website that compared the blue whale to other large things, selectable at the bottom bar. The second image is from the same thing.
Joke ruined. Oh well =P

Nexus 5

LG’s G2 have just officially announced for European markets, but already it seems the Korean company may be working on another Google’s nexus phone, the Nexus 5.
Tinhte reports that the Google’s LG Nexus 5 will sport the Snapdragon 600 chip, 2 GB of RAM and 10 megapixel camera. It will probably cost you $299 for 8GB version and $349 for 16GB. The LG Nexus 5 is said to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, may be October, November, or December.
Google and LG has yet to formally announce the new device, leaving full details unclear. So if these rumors do turn out to be accurate, we’ll likely have to wait a little longer to get our first glimpse of the LG Nexus 5.

Do me a favor a don't copy/paste stuff you found on the internet and post it on XDA. It's bad manners toward the site youre doing it to and it clutters up the boards.

Nexus 6 display after 3 days

So I got my nexus 6 this week, everything is running fine & smooth as expected from N6.
After 3 days of normal usage suddenly a vertical line appeared on the screen and it appears every where while browsing, app drawer etc.
I was hoping it is a software issue I tried factory reset but unfortunately it seems that it is hardware issue.
Anyone has any idea on how to fix this? or my nexus 6 display is just defective?

It sounds like it's hardware related. Have it ever went away then came back later? Possibility in a different location? Where was it purchased?
-Zero Night
Get it replaced.
Defect. Send it back in for a replacement

Ugh, that sucks. Sorry man. Definitely sounds like a hardware problem.
Where did you order from? I don't know about Motorola, but Google has been pretty good in the past as far as sending advance replacements.

If only that were true - I got a Nexus 5X earlier today, which was totally unexpected (I had a faulty G2 which I sent off to repair, the shop lost it and gave me a store credit to replace it) and I don't yet have a USB A-C cable, so I can't!
That's definitely a first world problem but I've never owned any Android device, let alone a Nexus which wasn't rooted/running a custom ROM by the end of the first day I owned it :crying:
Clearly, I'm a rootophile!
Wow, well i have rootophobia, or maybe are brickphobia.
I've got a binary disorder, Rootophobia. Causes massive RAM consumption and migraines.
And here I thought rooting was instinctual.

Don't buy the fast wireless charger with S/N RF7J30ZK36BCIS

It's working and it has built fan, but it's fake, not original not genuine!
I have bought one from Gumtree because I assumed it's used one, and never check until today, I bought another one today, it's free from samsung pre-order.
Totally different, bad quality, the fake one looks like very older, can be scratched easily.

How about a side by side picture? Help us spot the differences?
The pictures are from G+, but same as mine,
The fake one doesn't have the QUICK START GUIDE, just a paper in the box, looks like used even brand new
