Yes that is worked for me also. Network call can be made easily. But I'm asking native video call which can make from dialer app itself

The asus dialer doesn't support video calling for me. it just goes to Duo.
I hope someone finds a way to install the google phone APK. I had native carrier video calling on my pixel 3 and also duo.

As far as I knew duo is the native video caller for Android. If I am not mistaken duo was used as the "FaceTime" version built in direct to Google phones such as the pixel and Nexus series. I use duo constantly and it works pretty seem less with the occasional bad connection

I could see why people may think so but it is actually not.
My Pixel 3 XL supported native videocalling through its phone app. It also had an option to call out using Duo.
I don't believe there is a way to set a default app for just videochat.
The cool thing about native video calling is that you don't need an app to use it. (Well, in this case, WE do!)

Same problem
Hi bro . I facing same problem. I have used poco F1 earlier in that You can do video call without using internet data. But this Rog 2 is not showing any option to do video call not even receiving nativ video call. Little disappointed with this beast. Any solution ?

We have to find a dialer that supports native carrier videocalling. I have not tried any yet

Please share that dialer app
Please

I tried jio calling dialer but that dialer will bring you to default dialer if you try to make video call. Lil disappointed.

Looking for Phone Calls recorder.

Guys ,
Can anyone recommend the best call recording software ? I wouldn’t even comment the built-in Voice Recorder which auto-stops recording as soon as you switch to another app. Not to mention it does not support recording calls .
as far as I know, there is nothing than can.
http://www.softtrends.com/products/livepvr/livepvrwmppc.htm
I used an app similar to this and it sucked. You could barely hear anything. It would have worked best if it was on speaker, but I dont like the idea of letting everyone hear all of my conversations.
you cant record conversations on MOST wm devices unless in speaker mode....its a hardware limitation.
as for the OPs question on call recording software, pls see the wiki here

I don't think it is hardware limitation - rather they have made it that way - to prevent tapping.

[Q] how to make video call on galaxy note

How do i make video call on my galaxy note?(not through skype or other apps) Whenever i try to make a video call,it will always say 'unable to make video call now' and when other phone try to make video call with me,that other phone will say my network is busy
Are you trying to use a native application? I would think the other person would have to have a Note in order to not use a 3d party APP.
Ok who has tested out the note to note video calling? I was trying the same as the op and same result.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I have no problems making video calls to a gs2 phone using the native phone app, also have no issues recording the live video feed as well
Hmm..native phone app means the default dialer in galaxy note rite...i thought video calling can be done to any phones that has video call capability..do i need to activate my data network to enable video calling?
Thats right, I did video call through the phone dialer. Sorry I wasn't clear about that. And yes you also need data enabled as the video feed is sent via 3g. You can make video calls to any phone with video call capability except for iphones as apple will only allow Apple to Apple video calling or face time as they call it.
I tried using my GNote and to call my wife's Nexus S and it did not work.
With this app https://market.android.com/details?id=com.innodroid.gtalkenabler. I am able to video call with google talk to another galaxy note running google talk.

Looking for a call recorder that also records

Hello, I've now tied several call recorders from the app store. But they all just record my side of the conversation. Not the other side.
Anyone know of an app that actually recorded both sides?
Thanks.
Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
am using ACR and its recording both side ... on oreo
Ok, thanks. Did you have to set up anything special on the phone to make sure it recorded both sides?
Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
Ok, this app is also not recording the other side of the phone call. Must be some setting in my phone, as I've tried several apps already. Anyone have a tip for me?

Hi
I use Cube ACR in the settings menu, then recording and choose audio source recorded Voice Call software.
You will have very good recordings in both directions, and with possibility to save on his SD card.
sorry for my bad english
Hi
I use this one in my Note 8 and work perfect.

Why are you using an app when Note 8 has inbuilt call recorder ?
Thanks a bunch for your advice. Appreciate it.

The free version of 'ACR' has worked fine for me on a number of devices and works on my 'stock' Note 8 with the following settings.
i use boaldbest recorder its great!
Послато са Lenovo TB2-X30L уз помоћ Тапатока
I use the built-in Samsung call recorder. You can activate it only if you are rooted though(unless you are with China SCS, then it would work OOTB ), but there won't be a better recorder. It records everything, it has its place in the calling screen, it is integrated with the dialer history..... I hate the recorders which slap an ugly button somewhere on the calling screen. :X :X :X
Total call recorder is good.
The best I used was true caller
truecaller allows unlimited calls recording now, needs paid version!
I'm using this :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.github.axet.callrecorder
Open source and working well, with many features. Set it and forget it.
Best one I've found and works with BLUETOOTH
Call Recorder - SKVALEX
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.skvalex.cr
I found it thru a developer on here.
One of the few apps I have found worth the money so I bought the license.
I will answer this question based on my 8 year experience with these apps and how much I bought.
For the Note 8:
Boldbeast call recorder is the Best in my opinion. it has various settings and even works on bluetooth headset both way recording where others fail. Add to that that it has regular updates.
In the second place comes Total Recall By Killer Mobile.
In the Third Place comes Call Recorder by Skvalex.

Call recording on android 10

Did anybody test if call recording programs like ACR Cube Call Recorder still work fine with android 10 like it does with android 9? I've contacted Samsung support via Samsung Members and they refused to give me an answer because they say it's still in Beta.
I use Cube ACR and on android q it doesn't record anything. However I haven't tried recording when loud speaker is enabled or with headphones. It could work but needs to be tested. I really hope there will be a workaround for this (without root) but tbh I don't think it will happen
Call recording is blocked from the kernel and is only allowed in certain local versions or custom roms. It has been a long time since it was implemented. It is very likely to be maintained in the new versions because there were very many signs of user dissatisfaction but Google did not react positively.
So I bet it won't work in version 10 either.
I have Android 10 final on Galaxy S10 and Call Recorder not working. Only working Call Recorder Skvalex, but he is comercial.
Changing csc to THL still does the job for the native call recorder. That's what I'm using on 10
Skvakex works for 100%? Never heard of it tho but I'm gonna buy it if it works

It is worked for me. Trial 15 days. You can try.
Thanks, but I'll pass it for now. I've left a bad review on play store for cube acr, and they replied with a message how to set up the app on android q and it works! In case anyone wondering, you have to select voice recognition (software), and then the slider beneath to 100%.

Cube ACR uses Voice communication (software) for Android 9, but also has that option.
As I wrote on an other thread, the bad thing of call recording by Skvakex is about BT recordings, the other side is not recorded.
While the native call recorder (changing the csc) works fine and you can still use SkValex for recorded file managing.
The bad thing on this case, is when Android Auto is connected. Native call recorder does not start when a call is enstablished.
This is with Android 9, but I think nothing is changed with Android 10. I'm afraid that the final solution in any case is root...

As I wrote, even SkValex is good for "normal" calls without root...
No and no.
But so does cube acr which is free.

Same thing if you are on earphones or headphones (wired or bluetooth), it only records your voice, but it's just because the speaker is far from the microphone

[SOLVED]Video calling in Asus ROG Phone-3

I've been using android phones for more than 8 years. Ever since 3G was launched in India, I've been using the video calling feature in android phones. I switched from Poco-F1 to Asus ROG phone-3 recently. To my utter surprise, I'm unable to use video calling feature on either of my sim cards. Am I missing something or Asus doesn't provide video calling feature on native dialer? Please help me out on how to do video calling using SIM cards without 3rd party apps such as whatsapp, google duo etc. :crying:
Edit: It has been solved. We can make video calls in ROG-3. Install Google contacts and Google phone. Disable asus's native dialer and contact. Make Google's as default. Enable the video calling on sim card (go to system setting and search call). Now you can use video calling on the phone.
