Just installed apps like netflix, spotify, buienalarm do start up extremely slow more than 1 minute. sometimes 2 minutes.
Once in settings (netflix) the whole moto G7 hangs...
What is wrong?
Other apps like whatsapp do function normaly.
Sounds strange, mayby you need to do a factory reset, my device is very snappy, but I found that when I use Nova launcher the device get sluggish so I use Moto app launcher.

OK so I have tried the stock music player, TuneWiki and PowerAmp and all three seem to have the same issue. The music will simply stop playing and it acts as though I pressed the pause button. I have my Xoom in the standard HD dock and I have seen this behaviour both through the speakers of the Xoom and when I have external speakers plugged into the dock.
I have tried to determine if a notification is stopping the music, but it does not appear to be triggered by that. I tried sending myself an email to both my Gmail and Touchdown (exchange) accounts and the notification played but the music resumed as expected.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
I have noticed this too but for me it only happens when loading something or deleting things and it must be using alot of CPU.
not sure if this is correct, but maybe it's not the CPU - maybe it's the internal memory. I mean, let's say you're playing music, and in the background you've got google services, tweetdeck, weather widget etc... updating data and then you open the market and so on
seems like a lot of things using the same memory. If memory was seperate like on the NExus One (some internal, some on sd) it wouldn't happen...
happens to me once in a while on my 3g xoom... doesnt bother me much. however sometimes the music app totally closes(force close) and sometimes the music pauses itself.

Mine does kind of the opposite....every once in a blue moon it will open the music app
I too have noticed this but only when another application is attempting to make a sound or notify. For example when I am playing music and an email comes through ... the music will pause while the email notification is playing.
I would check your running apps. Some poorly written apps might be grabbing the sound for some reason even though it is not needed by the app.
Mine does this on Wifi Xoom as well, only appears to happen on stock music player, winamp has worked fine. I think I has something to do with other apps running or transfering data over usb.
I think motorola/google need to release a stablity/bug fix update. Theres a few quirks that need to be ironed out.

Yea, stock music app seems to be full of bugs. For me it always resorts to having to reset the xoom because the whole thing crashes. This plus the constant force closes in browsers is really starting to annoy me. Winamp seems to fix the music issue but no other market browser solves the other issue. Sorry to get a bit off track. Google needs to get their act together. I don't think I've ever seen even a windows release this buggy.

was if others are experiencing the same issue i am having?
when i am using the stock internet browser on the GN, (having couple of tabs opened).
i open another app or do something on the phone eg, listening to music or some using other apps,
then I go back to the browser again but this time the browser is closed, none of the tabs are there, feels like the browser restarted.
It keeps happening to me and i cant figure out the cause of it.
does anyone has similar or the same issue i am experiencing?

what apps are you swapping between?
the galaxy note may have 1gb of ram, but it doesnt keep a lot of it free. mine normally has something like 350mb free with the widgets i use. when i run my browser with 3-4 pages with a lot of pics, it uses up about 150-200mb of ram. if i then run a game like shadowgun or dungeon defenders, it will use up a lot of ram as well. to keep the system from running out of ram, gingerbread will shut off any background apps using a lot of ram, in this case, the browser. hence you'll lose your tabs because the browser will restart when you reopen it.
i havent had any issues with it crashing when listening to music though. my poweramp only uses like 20mb ram. ive only really had it happen when im gaming and browsing.
the only solutions are to minimise desktop widgets to maximise free ram, and possibly swap launchers to one that will use ram more efficiently. auto task killers are useless since they send most apps into reboot loops which will drain the battery, but if your device is rooted, you can always use titanium backup to freeze apps and processes you never use (ie. weather widget).

yeah i do run an large amount of widgets...
currently i've only got about 200mb spare on the
i've try reducing the amount of widget and see if that resolves the issue my browser being closed automatically...

To those with a Note 5 already, how's the RAM management.
Can't get one in Canada until the 21st, just wondering if the Note 5 is a smart buy.

The Note 5 opens the apps incredibly fast even with reloading though.
I've seen posts here and there that make it sound promising but the video above scares me a little.

You already saw my posts but I will re-state here so others can see as well.
I do not have the issues that video illustrates. I can run Chrome, Fallout Shelter, Poweramp, Play Store, Trillian, Amazon App Store, 1Weather, Google Plus, Whisper, Gmail, Battery Widget Reborn, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Z Launcher, the stock launcher, a number of settings windows, and plenty more, and not have any of them need to reload when switching between them (which is good, because Fallout Shelter is up to 500megs of RAM usage...). With all of that running, I still have 1.1gigs of free RAM (333megs in reality, as 800ish megs of that 1.1gigs is for cached processes). I don't yet have much else installed, but it seems pretty clear to me that this is not a universal issue, and even if it were, it can easily be resolved by an update from Sammy, or a custom rom/kernel down the line.

Yeah same here ... no problem at all ...
My note kills apps like crazy. Certain apps i know for sure as soon as i hit home the app gets killed. but if i jumped to another app through recents, then the app would at least stay alive for a while.
There is a lot that I like about this phone. But coming from near stock Android on the OnePlus 3t, outside of the core UI (home screen, lock screen, settings, etc) I find the P20 Pro a bit laggy. This mainly occured in slightly more involved apps like Facebook, Google maps, Google photos etc. For example try going into maps and jumping between navigation, reviews, the map view etc. It really stutters. And in photos, try swiping between images, it's so slow.
Is this something other people are experiencing? Would I benefit from a factory reset or change of settings? Or maybe this is just the result of crappy Huawei software?
Only place I see it in is Google photo and a little bit in Tapatalk. Everywhere else it's lagg free

I've had the phone act laggy and lag free. What puzzles me is this: I can factory reset and have facebook etc scroll lag and stutter free. I can then do another factory reset and experience a stutter fb scroll. I have repeated this at least 4 times on the same firmware with around a week each. At the moment I have a stutter facebook scroll and slight lags on maps etc. This time i'm going to live with it until the next update and use that as an excuse to reset. Fingers crossed I get a lag free start.

I have huge problem with MIUI. Phone is closing apps that are working in foreground, just as I'm using them. For example sometimes it just closes the chrome or game I'm playing. It looks like phone has very brute ram Management. Sometimes it happens when someone send me message on messenger. Also I have noticed that when I'm driving and I have turned on navigation and music in split screen, it just ends navigation, and stops playing music, turns off screen and after unlocking I have split screen of apps just like they would be just started - in main screens, with empty playlist and just gps position. It's really annoying and quite dangerous when it happens while I'm driving.
I have also found that in apps manager even after locking app and allowing it to autostart, it just stops playing music as soon as I hit x(clean) button. In list of exceptions I can't add any app, so it would skip cleaning it from ram and running.
