Best bet is to probably boot it to bootloader, scroll through the options until it says TOOLS and then press the power button once to disable TOOLS mode, this should get it out of engineering mode. Then scroll with volume to "boot" and see what happens.

I was following this guide to try to flash a US firmware on my bootloader-unlocked Sprint V40: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v40/how-to/guide-make-lg-v40-compatible-lgup-t3953120
After issuing the command "fastboot.exe set_active a" then powering off and trying to enter download mode, I get "Your device has failed a routine safety check and will not boot."
It briefly goes into download mode after that (for just a few seconds). Then I get a green screen with black text that says "LGE Crash Handler : FIQ : NOC Error!" and has a whole lot of other diagnostic info.
my one says all slots are unbootable

You have to restore your software again and re-root
Hold Volume+ and plug the phone to your PC to get it into download mode. Use LGUP to reflash the firmware.

the stock usb doesnt send things correctly in BL mode, https://www.amazon.com/Blackweb-3-Foot-Charge-Cable-Connector/dp/B07SG7P3KZ/ worked for me. with the correct usb cable you should be able to perform the lock commands correctly. can you give us more detail of what you tried on this phone so we know if we need to provide you additional information?

"Locking the Bootloader
Locking the bootloader is recommended for security reasons. Some applications will not work with an unlocked bootloader.
Start the Phone in Download Mode with one of the following methods:
Using the adb tool: With the Phone powered on, execute: adb reboot bootloader Enter Download Mode:
Plug in a USB cable to connect your Razer Phone to your computer, Power Off the Phone, then turn it on and immediately press and hold the Volume Down button until “Download Mode” appears on screen.
Lock the critical partitions of the Bootloader first by running this command: fastboot flashing lock_critical
Your Razer Phone will show you a confirmation screen. Use the Volume Up/Volume Down buttons for navigation, and press the Power button to select. Your Phone will reboot."
I can't seem to enter download mode. All I have is fastboot mode and the option to either reboot, close the phone or enter recovery mode. I would really like to lock the bootloader, but I can't seem to be able to detect my phone on my PC even though I installed the fastboot driver.

You must use a USB 2.0 port. The RP2 isn't detected by fastboot when connected to a 3/3.1 port.

How to enter fastboot mode. PLEASE HELP ME!

I really need to enter fastboot mode on my zuk, but your screen is burned out so I can't enter developer options to activate usb debugging and perform the "adb reboot bootloader", I would like to know if it is possible to enter fastboot mode through of combinations of physical buttons. My zuk has a blocked bootloader!
As far es I know you need a unlocked bootloader and usb debugging has to be activated.
Why do you need to get into fastboot? If ur screen is no more...

Black screen after bootloader via HCU in TP mode unlock and flash. FASTBOOT only now. Noodle scratching. Ideas?

Hi guys, so I recently discovered you can use test point mode on my phone through DC Phoenix to then use HCU to unlock your bootloader and root and flash custom roms etc.
So after unlocking the bootloader which gave a success message. My phone proceeded to reboot into erecovery as there was some red text etc warning me about the system not being verified or trusted or something.
Now i started to download latest software to install through recovery but decided to stop it as i had already downloaded a firmware file 8.1 in full to flash. So i started that. And after flashing the erecovery files it rebooted me into upgrade mode (as it should) but it failed then after a few seconds and then the phone went black screen. I've now only got access to fastboot mode and nothing else. PC picks up the device in FB mode but cant issue any commands. They fail saying remote: failed. So I cannot flash any more files albeit system.img etc.
I have heard of the dload method but i cant seem to get it to work phone just doesnt boot up and start installing or anything.
Worth mentioning I have logs of everything i can post here.
The log from the "Successful" bootloader unlock via HCU: (it relocked after reboot) FRP too I think.
I have also replaced the endings of the imei listings etc with XXXX just as habit. I dont wanan post my IMEI etc online. Call it paranoia lol

Basically what I wanna know is, is she dead and gone or can she be saved?
As it turns out, I think it may be an issue with the loader I may have tried to flash 8.1 and it was on 9.1. Any help when you get a chance anyone who's has the same issue. I searched the forums can't find my exact issue.
i have rolled back to android 8,1 and used Kirin970_T2_A8.0_V3 in dc phoenix and hcu client.
first activated software tespoint and then used hcu with this ^^loader.
Screen comes back and i can see both status unlocked. Can flash TWRP with fastboot command with succes message but after reboot, trwp is erased i think through erecovery and Phone ist locked again. I am still trying to unlock it. Dont know why it shows unlocked and after reboot or deactivating Software testpoint again is locked.
Sorry for my bad english.

Question Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) SM350-T290

Hello,
Is this the correct forum for troubleshooting the rooting of this device?
I was able to install the Samsung drivers on a PC[check]
enable developer mode[check]
enable usb debugging [check]
unlock oem bootloader [check] (Initially it was hidden but there was a fix for that by changing from automatic to manual system date/time from 7 days prior
The process for unlocking the bootloader is more involved for this device as you need to power off the device and hold BOTH the up/down volume keys
until the boot firmware splash screen shows up. At this point you can plug the usb cable back in and successfully unlock the bootloader by pressing the up volume button.
This series of steps is described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/samsung-galaxy-tab-a-8-0-sm-t290-2019-unable-to-unlock-bootloader.42472271
The problem now is that flashing the correct version of TWRP (Using the Odin Tool) seems to be producing a screen within the !!download!! mode of the
bootloader which doesn't finish flashing the recovery.img. This was attempted using the Odin Tool and a version of TWRP which may or may not have been the
correct version. Looking to find the correct version for this device and use the Odin to to flash it in the
bootloader screen.
Right now, when rebooting, there is an error message: Secure Check Fail: recovery.img
Any assistance is appreciated
