Features lost when using Nova launcher

Can anyone tell me what features we lose by using Nova (or any other) launcher? I know we lose the TouchWiz Widgets, but do we lose any pen features or anything else of consequence?

I've been using Nova since day one and everything except widgets do work (including all spen features)

That's great to hear. I wasn't sure how much of the TouchWiz framework was tied to the launcher.

On Nova launcher you can make a swipe up on the locker icon launch flipboard, so I haven't lost that functionality.

Gallery from note 2?

I recall on my note 2 the gallery allows you to change from the flat view to a 3d carousel view. I don't see that on this version(it is possible that it wasn't on the stock note 2 as I ran a custom rom). Anybody know if I can replace the version on the note 3 with this version?

Also, Google Plus auto backup photos showed up in the note 2 gallery, but not o the Note 3.

Slow multitasking menu

Anyone else's multitasking menu come up slow and not display the correct apps?

All the time. Sometimes it acts as a home button, then when I press it again it hasn't updated the last 5 or so apps I've used

are you guys using GravityBox? some days back i had tweaked my navigation bar to look like the one on android L, and also changed the functions of the buttons...and the recent apps got slow as hell...i tried to live with it for a few days..but then disabling gravitybox just made me feel like my Moto X was flying.. you can give it a try..

Any way to default camera app to video?

I really need my camera app to default to video mode. Anybody know of any way to change it's defaults upon opening. Thanks
