Rapid OS V1 OFFICIAL[OREO][KENZO/KATE][AOSP] - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 [Snapdragon] ROMs, Kernels, Re

Rapid OS 8.0 for Redmi Note 3 Pro [kenzo/kate]
What is AOSP ROM?
An AOSP ROM is a ROM based on the Android Open Source Project. In the purest sense, AOSP refers to unmodified ROMs or code from Google
About Rapid OS:
Rapid OS is a pure stock android experience, much like the pixel devices, with a lot of under the hood tweaks, which optimize the specific device to unleash it's fullest capability, be it in terms of performance, battery, or stability.
It does not come with any bloatware at all, and comes only with the apps you'd find on a pixel.
Code:
#include
/*
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Download the rom and the bootfix from the above link.
FLASH INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
2) Flash the ROM zip only (Don't add anything to the queue).
3) Flash the BOOTFIX.
4) Don't flash GAPPS (it's already there).
5) Reboot and enjoy!!!
NOTE: The rom takes quite a while to install, so please be patient.

Wow, tried this rom. It's really epic. Just the best balance between performance, battery and stability. I want you to make the pie rom. Please continue the hard work. Your rom makes my device feel new. The scrolling in this rom is just insane! Feels like a oc'd display! Thanks for the great work mate.

This is what "stock" means. Many guys give their roms saying it's "stock", but have all sorts of customisations and ****. But this one has none of those, and i love it. Pure stock android makes my device feel like a pure pixel. Thanks again dev
EDIT: This rom comes with gcam as the stock camera app, and it is just lit??

Will wait for pie version. Can someone please provide screen shots? Thanks again for keeping this device alive. XD

Please don't be sorry buddy, thanks for keeping the device alive. I was just wondering why the patch is old as seen from the screenshot. I don't have a clue about developing. I was just curious. I appreciate you doing this for our redmi note 3. I have just shifted to Aex pie by Amol Amrit. Will try this out after a while, I'll let you know what I think about the ROM when I do. Thanks again.

Hi guys. As requested by many people, I have started working on the 10 build. It might take a while to fix all the bugs. If you guys just want to test out the builds and are fine with the bugs, you can PM me. The test builds will be available from next-week hopefully. Thanks for the support guys:good::good:

Slim rom for our device. Hurray. Will have to try...I am on MIUI 8( have to spend little time on it too). Slim roms are considered to be best. Its a hit among Redmi 1s users too.
2 questions: Does it use stock or radon kernel and why RN3 Pro is not listed on the official slim site?

Hi,
Cannot thank you enough.
Question: You say we need to flash CM-Radios.zip. But I was on the Global Build of Miui 8 (6.7.14),, delivered from the guys at Xiaomi.eu and flashed just the ROM and GApps and everything seems to be working fine.
Why is the radio.zip needed? I'll continue to test to check if everything is working right.
I'm soooooooooo happy for this build, you have no idea. Coming from an 1+1 I'm used to flash often
THANK YOU SO MUCH, you're the man.

Can you add Vo-LTE support for this ? Jio SIMs are literally available to almost anyone now. Thanks. Also is it possible to create a Telegram group where you can announce updates to Radon Kernel as well as Slim ROM ?

[ROM[BETA] Android Open Source Project Oreo for Huawei P8 Lite

The Android Source Code
Android is an open source software stack created for a wide array of devices with different form factors. The primary purposes of Android are to create an open software platform available for carriers, OEMs, and developers to make their innovative ideas a reality and to introduce a successful, real-world product that improves the mobile experience for users.
We also wanted to make sure there was no central point of failure, where one industry player could restrict or control the innovations of any other. The result is a full, production-quality consumer product with source code open for customization and porting.
Code:
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
Installation Gudie:
* remove the assert line in /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
(!less_than_int(1521815579, getprop("ro.build.date.utc"))) || abort("E3003: Can't install this package (Fri Mar 23 15:32:59 CET 2018) over newer build (" + getprop("ro.build.date") + ").");
getprop("ro.product.device") == "alice" || abort("E3004: This package is for "alice" devices; this is a "" + getprop("ro.product.device") + "".");

Changelogs:
23/03/2018:
Initial build.
Note:
Do not rude or ask question about android version, I use 8.0.0_r36 as base to fix the whole issue, I'll upgrade to 8.1 once fix ril and other stuff.
Working:
Audio.
Camera: partially.
GPS.
Graphics: just gralloc.
NFC.
Storages: both internal & external sdcard.
Wifi
Bugs:
Bluetooth.
Camera: the Camera2 is properly buggy, I don't recommend to use it.
Flashlight toggle: it can be activated just at once mean: you cannot enable again once is disabled.
Brightness.
RIL: the baseband is recognized as unknown perhaps due to my device is single sim, so you have to tell me if works on dual sim, the init_alice.cpp need some works to get both single and dual sim works together.

Thanks m8!
You guys can’t imagine how long I’ve been waiting for this day. That’s one hell of a benefit google gave us there with treble. Can’t imagine that this would have been possible that soon otherwise.
Anyhow, there are a few quirks I’ve noticed (of course, no logcat):
- Power off leads to a reboot
- Enhanced reboot menu isn’t working, just reboots
- su appears to be working adb wise, but apps granted don’t work (f.e. Titanium)
- Magisk (even b16.4) results in a boot loop, guess that’s qwertys beer, not yours
That’s still not holding me from running it as DD from this day.
Does anybody know if it supports turning on the screen or unlocking the phone with the soft touch 3d home button .

What's working?
Everything seems to be working; same as the official lineage build.
What's not working?
Obviously Samsung's own features such as Samsung Pay, KNOX, Theme Center, Game Launcher, etc. won't be ported to LineageOS Pixel Experience. We may have our own implementation to similar functions, though.
Iris sensor does not work because AOSP upstream does not support that yet.
IMS services (VoLTE, VoWiFi, etc). Samsung has their own proprietary implementation. It is not really possible to easily port that to LineageOS PixelExperience.

Instructions:
Make sure TWRP has been installed and functional.
Install the BRH4 vendor (not sure about the new(er) BRI1 vendor)
Download the latest build linked below
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data and cache (required if you switch from other ROMs). Even better if you have nothing to loose and wipe system, data, cache, storage etc
Flash the latest build (and gapps). DONT flash gapps. they are already included in the rom.
Reboot and enjoy :victory:

Troubleshooting/FAQ:
Q: The rom isn't booting/camera doesn't work
A: Flash/make sure you have the BRH4 vendor and try again.
Q: The rom is in a bootloop/google apps keep crashing
A: You did read the instructions and NOT flash any gapps riighhttt?? smh, wipe /system,/data and /cache and start over
Q: The "home button" isn't waking up the phone
A: This apparently is an issue when not clean-flashing. I posted a fix around page 3 detailing a fix for this.
Q: I have another bug; How can i tell it to you while slightly increasing my changes of it ever getting fixed.
A: You can tell me what's going on either here or on telegram WITH A LOGCAT attached(required);if rom isn't booting at all attach /proc/last_kmsg.
Q: I don't know what/how to logcat. Is it really necessary?
A: Logcat or gtfo
Q: How can i support you?
A: Awwww thanks; On most of my posts on the left side there's a "donate to me" paypal button; You can use that, donations are more than welcome, or if you don't have any $ to spare you can also post here about how awesome i am (this surprisingly helps very much)

It's the lineage camera;gcam doesn't work on aosp as i'd like to yet*; so that should do the job just fine.
As for stability and quality as far as i can see it's the same as it works on the lineage build: pretty stable and quality is fine* (passed my standards anyway)

No promises tho
It seems to work from what i can see
There's a dark mode option under display in settings in the style tab that you can select as black in lineage os, so the pixels are turned off. I cant find this option on this rom, help? And is there any way to switch the navigation buttons?
Sorry for the "dumb" question, but does Magisk Hide works with this ROM? is the SafetyNet Check passed?
Thanks.
Hello. I can not load any of these roms on my galaxy s9 +, everyone is on the s9 + logo. What am I doing wrong ??

If you're having problems with decoding some videos (blurried),
this is mostly because the avc hardware decoder gets configured wrongly.
You can disable it with my magisk module:
avc_decoder_disabler.zip
If you are going to use Gapps,
I recommend to use the pico package!
https://opengapps.org/
For the others, you can use microG if you want, I've enabled signature spoofing.
Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

It would be better if you carry the android 11 directly, which is for the s3 since it would be better than the android 9 and would support more apps and the tablet would last a little longer
Guys please chill , you just had android 7 two days ago.
If I manage to fix the last major problems, then there will be an android 10 build and maybe also android 11.
I cant say if the performance will be good enough, but with android 9 its pretty good.
(android 9 should be supportet a long time for all apps etc)
If there will be some donations in future, I will buy some new SSD's to store the Android 10 and 11 source and can start developing,
at the moment there is no place left (I contribute different LineageOS versions, Slim, RR, and I wont delete anything).
But more important at the moment is to reach a level for daily use with LOS16, afterwards we could think about other android 9 roms (if we want them, like for example RR, Slim, ...)
and then, I would release an android 10 build.
hi html6405, it's just crazy that you ported android 9 to our old tablet, sothanks for that big effort!
I'm using your slimroms port right now with android 7, do you recommend me to install the lineage os 16 yet, or do you think it is not still functional for everyday use?
Hello,
Thanks a lot for your good job.
I'll wait for the N8000 version .
It would revive my old tablet.
Regards.

This question is not easy to answere, we just have the testing phase.
But you could make a backup of your Slim7 installation and test it by your own.
Overall it's pretty stable and doesnt run bad so far.
I've already fixed many other things, you will receive an update, maybe today or tomorrow.
